I recently tried the carrot pound cake and was surprised as ever to find it was completely enjoyable. I don't usually like "normal" carrot cake. I've only had 3 mres in my life but these videos are the reason I ever tried them. I've liked the three I've had very much and thoroughly enjoy each and every review. I seem to learn something little about them often and I thank you for them! Keep up the good work and I'm excited to see more in the future!
You could use the cardboard sleeve as a holder for the entree package.Just slit,or rip it down one side to hold the length wise opened package.Like a V.
One unmentioned benefit of the heating sleeve is that you can put the assembled FRH and entree inside it BEFORE you add the water - and still see the fill lines. Sure beats trying to stuff a steaming bag in after it activates!
Rocky Raab Yeah, I need to start doing that! I've now gotten a FRH fully activated before putting it in the sleeve TWICE, and it's just not a comfortable experience.
It's a lot better. Than what I got in the old days. I've worked in a lot third world countries, where MRE,s were bad or weird. Did not like eating monkey or cut - rated rations. The bad part was substitution with over counter food items. Good video. Good MRE.
Just a minor tip, it would probably be easier to slide the pouch in the heating bag up through the cardboard instead of down through. That way you don't need to try to stuff that extra folded over flap through.
Man, thank you for this vids. Im rushing all of 'em. I'd really love to try all these food, i dunno but i find them really atractive. Sorry for bad english :). Cheers from Argentine.
The instant coffee they include is probably the worst tasting coffee in existence. Really a shame they dont include a better commercial option like tasters choice or even a cheap tea. This stuff is cruel.
Santi Bouphavong You can buy them directly from XMRE. Check the link in the video description. These aren't cheap by any means, but I'd imagine that if you went to some secondary market they'd tend to be even more expensive.
I do not know how to start this post without it feeling a bit modest, but here we go. I plan to start reviewing MREs in the next couple months. Will be buying a 6pack for bad grades (3.5) or a 12 pack if I get another 4.0. I already have ideas about how I would like to make my videos, but I have never done anything like this. There are many questions concerning camera and pointers and such. It is my hope I can get in contact with you via email, skype, or any means you would find acceptable. I hope to touch base with kiwi and gundog as well. Please let me know. Thanks for another great review =)
Jim Bob No I always finish them up after the camera goes off (except for the Cheese and Veggie Omelet, which I didn't feel to bad about not finishing). I'm not big on wasting food, so even if it's not "great" I'll still eat it.
I disagree that he is long winded, I like the length of video, Gshultz shows me in detail exactly as if i was sitting there doing it myself. also see you watch Kiwi dude and he is exactly same way and same model and prep and has good reviews too.
I love watching your videos man, watch them every night.
Keep up the good work!

Perfect way to start a Friday afternoon... Watching some gschultz
Glad to see another video, gschultz! This seemed like a nice MRE.
You would think they would give you cheese spread for chili. It just makes more sense.
Great review mate! I watched it again after reading the gundog4314 about subtitles. It adds a whole new dimension. Lol!
Kiwi Dude yes. it does. LOLOLOL. At 5:05 it very hard not to laugh with the subtitles on
Kiwi Dude oh man i could not stop laughing with the subs lol
Kiwi Dude LOL I could not stop laughing!!!
"It tastes so like Erica."

+gschultz9 I never knew your profile picture was based on the warning signd on the heating elements.
I enjoyed this review, I accidently clicked the Subtitles/CC button and nearly pissed my pants laughing so hard. It really gets good at 19:00
"Very fresh porn" XD Hahahahaha 00:19
+MolotovBurner100 The only good type of it.
This is batsman, that one cracked me up xD
awesome video, like what xmre is doing with that dried fruit

Great review as always friend !! Keep up the good work, peace, Magnum, John.
Here in the Prescott quad-cities area we have a prepper store and XMRE is what they carry, plus a wall of Mountain House and other dehydrated foods.
LUCKY 😋😋😋😋

Agree with that one anon, it needs cheese spread.
Also the tear tabs on the mixed fruit... other than that it seems pretty much comprehensive
I haven't had breakfast and this appears in my subscription feed. I hate myself now for clicking on this.
I bought a bunch of these. I had the beef brisket one tonight but I'm... not too impressed with it aside from the snack and cookie.
Is there a place were you recommend to buy mre
where do you guys get the trays?
Man, thank you for this vids. Im rushing all of 'em. I'd really love to try all these food, i dunno but i find them really atractive.

So excited to view this

Hey bud do you know which website would sell these mre for the best price by any chance? Btw good video again man

You did a great job with the review thank you.

Do you finish all these too or just taste and throw it away?

Thanks for reply dude. Keep the videos coming
fyi of those interested, you could rip/cut open one side of the cardboard sleeve and eat your entree sideways while holding the sleeve.
This just in XMRE makes hotpockets.
I noticed it said civilian MRE. Whats the difference between civilian and military? Why would a civilian get an MRE?
Post-Hurricane or Post-Tornado
19:25 turn on subtitles lol
These videos are so interesting :P
You are good at doing vidos
i don't know why but i really want to eat MRES
Same looks fun and delicious 😋😋😋
Is it just me or does everyone want one of those grade school cafeteria trays?!
does anyone agree that it should come with corn bread instead of carrot cake
Hell yeah
hey
As I just got done eating chili not to long ago, Ima wait a day to watch this. Im sick of chili.
The hot bag is for coffee.
Why you make me so hungry?
First I love ur videos
If you don't like spicy you're a wimp!
lol true
I drink coffee without sugar and I'm 15 lol
maredevil1 I don't drink coffee at all and I'm a LOT older than 15! That's why I add the sugar when I mix it up for a review. lol
gschultz9 To each their own. :)
I, myself, am rather fond of coffee.
Darryl Aoki Yes, I'm definitely in a very small minority of people who doesn't like either coffee or tea!
gschultz9 At least we are not completely alone.
+maredevil1 The only tea I like is iced. I don't like coffee either.
Coollllllll
18th
Almost 17 minutes into a 22 minute video before you start to taste. Talk about a long-winded man.
Lisa Mona Sorry, that's the model I've followed for about four years. It's kind of hard to taste the stuff right away when it's in the packaging.
I disagree that he is long winded, I like the length of video, Gshultz shows me in detail exactly as if i was sitting there doing it myself. also see you watch Kiwi dude and he is exactly same way and same model and prep and has good reviews too.
I can't believe soldiers eat this , to be honest it looks disgusting
+Evan Ng They eat this "disgusting" looking food so you could enjoy the freedom to write such comment.
they're actually not that bad
it looks pretty good
haha I think TH-cam is using Chinese slave laborers to do the closed captioning.
I saw a secret call for help there to Anna from prisoner X.
hey
hey
