Kimi you can buy thermal lined curtains in lighter colors don’t have to buy dark curtains. They would also help in winter months. I love all your videos long or short. Do what you want to do. Look for "ROOM DARKENING" curtains that are insulated, they will cut back on the heat that comes in without having to be black curtains. You can pick a color that will be seen by you, and still insulate and darken without having to black.I have some that are cream-colored and still block out the heat and light. We live in FL panhandle. So hot here. Went straight to summer🥵! I hate it. We have tiny 1936 house. 2 window units. 2 fans. We got a new much bigger AC unit for front room last year for a great price at Walmart. We gave our small unit to our next door neighbor. Six huge old oak trees cut down by necessity after Hurricane Sally. We still have some left in front and back but not the shade it was. For a quick fix I ordered the black paper black out shades that just go up with a sticky strip. We left our curtains up and the shades are behind the curtains. It was amazing how they cooled down the whole back of the house so much. They are just $6. Work so well just keep buying new ones from time to time. This house has poor insulation due to it's age. I enjoyed your shopping trip. We are seniors. Decided to just Uber it after last car died. I miss just going around looking in the stores. However, we don't need or have room for anything. I order everything including clothes. I had to make myself an iced coffee after seeing y'all slurp slurp. Stay cool.😊

You could get black out panels and still get them in a lighter color that go behind your curtains, that way you could choose your color. We have white blackout panels and they work amazing!
