While this viewer did have a S6 Changli, that was the ONLY character they had properly built on their account. An S0 Jiyan, Carlotta or Jinhsi would have done the exact same job for a fraction of the investment. Spend your pulls wisely and build a wide roster if want to clear an endgame mode that requires multiple teams, ladies and gents.
I'm actually floored on how bad S6 Changli is because I thought that she was just bad at S0R1 level and that can be kinda forgiven but now I see that its far worse than I first thought. I am a bit surprised that Kuro would release a Waifu Bait character like that.
No her damage should have been higher. My changli is s4 and her liberation damage is around 250k without her s. weapon. And since that changli s6 she doesnt need 95% crit rate as she has 25 % bonus already. even 50% crit rate would be enough for her.
ive told many times. with and without blackshore is like day and light, cuz with just verina u cant do 3+ stages lv 100 enemies. and the game rn is normalize for a team with verina and blackshore
I also have an S6 Changli and she can basically solo everything (even inferno rider if I wanted to) And my Liberations normally hit for like 350k on average and the forte is 2x 250k on average so idk what is different with his changli but it could be much better

Honeslty good for you to S6 Changli. I think her sequences make her more support though right? So he wasn’t using her properly, if you like Changli, use her, she still cleared and she is still really good!
@@gardevoirmaster5743 All her sequences give to the team is 20% atk which she herself also gets. More sequences you get for her more of a main dps she becomes. Even here Saint was early cancelling so many Conquests which still gives you forte stack, but misses 3 claw hits. Changli slander is of the charts... I use her on every ToA and she blasts hard, but if a person is more casual and doesn't dive deep into complexities of her kit and cancels Changli isn't something I would advice, not because she's weak, but because when played wrong she loses too much dmg.

I prefer them to rework TOA by not making it into a dps/rotation check. What I really hoped for TOA way back during cbt2 was for them to implement Babel Tower from PGR instead. You are able to choose what level of difficulty and buffs/debuffs you wanted for each stage. Casuals can do the bare minimum and still get the rewards. For those who wanted the challenge have the option and the maximum points is just for bragging rights. You can look up some Babel Tower footage to see how works. This is pretty much what Rexlent suggested for ToA and I can't believe I'm agreeing with him on this one. Tower of No Rewards is what ToA should be renamed.
TOA right now is just a rotation and dps check and if you're not ultra sweaty you won't even clear it decently Especially on the boss floor it's quite punishing I think TOA mainly makes people prioritize Dps monster units like Jinhsi which is not very good game design I'd like if they implemented a fraction of PPC or Warzone from PGR
I'm also in favor of a total rework of ToA, the current design is honestly, quite uninspired and boring. I think the hologram boss fights would be a much better fit for endgame content than ToA, they have a time limit but it's generous and it's more about learning the moves of the boss and just defeating it is the challenge. Character building is still a part of it because the more damage you deal the easier it will be to not die. We could have a tower where you just simply had to kill two or three hologram bosses with your teams getting locked after each clear and I think that would be way more interesting than the current DPS check.

To be fair, he barely has anything else, for example i have R4S1 Carlotta, because i build TALL and not spread my asterite, hence i do not have all characters, but i have very strong ones, and ofc i cleared everything, tower," hyper tower", and All holograms.
The crazy thing its that he could do it, he just needed to farm/transform some of the materials to lvl up the skills of the others units and also build better ecos. And i repect that S6 lol has f2p getting that must have been some crazy pulls.

Isnt this kinda concerning about the endgame balancing state of the game. Where you have player with a S6 Changli AND a player that "knows" what they are doing and you only beat the timer by 23 secs and used a S4 Encore who isnt even considered bad and you literally barely beat the timer by not even 1 second. Also with decent investment and a BP weapon is considered "garbage damage"
S6 Changli is like C6 Klee in genshin… You may see the big number at the start of the game, there is the time when Klee is the best DPS and better than Diluc… And after 4 years, no one use klee anymore as DPS, even her C6 can’t match C0 Natlan character
@@DeterjenKonoha As former Klee Main and I got her at C0. You are talking BS. C2 Klee gets a huge dmg buff and can clear the Abyss with ease ,even at C0 with a proper team. The thing with WuWa is that characters always get calculated with their best echos and stats ,and even than they can struggle. You need to use the right element characters that get a buff in that stage ,otherwise it can be hard to finish, because of the time limit. At the end of the day its still a dmg test. Also S6 character being powercreept,after 6 months is not a good sign for the game. We will see how how the state of powercreep will be in 6 months. I just hope they dont go the Honkai Star rail route, where you need to pull for new ,team /dps every 2 months

Holy shit that's some crazy Changli damage. 5:15 - ah, yeah, that makes sense. Yeah, you can clear it even as casual, *eventually* that is. If you fish for perfect RNG over a few dozen resets you might even 3-triangle clear the middle tower on meh echoes and standard weapons. But does that seem like good design?
I'm a casual and did the tower in a couple of tries, not even with that much of an insane investment, so just try guys, not just once to say "oh, doesn't work, so I won't ever touch this floor again."
I’m UL 65 and only have Rover and Calcharo built properly, no Verina or Shorekeeper and play on a phone that drops to 5fps every time I cast Liberation. I cannot clear the tower.
I would honestly like to see saintontas ask the people in the comments who can't clear (anymore) to play ToA for them. I think the people in the stream were mostly people who knew/could accept it were their skill issue/Investment mistakes.I watched a bit of the stream and aside from the S6 Changli there were accounts with more "relatable" sequences that just had suspicious investments. Considering he could make most of them work in under 30 minutes really showed me how easily you can improve your characters to be "ready" for ToA. And yes, it took 30 mins because weapons or talents were not maxed. Echoes do play a role but when your Jiyan has a 6/10 liberation echoes aint the problem.

I can say that I'm struggling with this ToA for sticking with charlotta team comb to clear middle. But if you have a jinshi team (premium or budget), you can clear it easily. Since jinshi doesn't get affected by the rules of tower.
Jinhsi is what I used for hazard floor 2, 1 star just missing 2 stars by a few seconds I literally lost 30% timer, with the old attribute bonus it would translate to a 2-3 seconds clear with 3 stars
As someone who just cleared with the teams: Jihnsi, changli, verina Carlotta, Camellya, shorekeeper It's not changli that's the problem, it's people's skill issue, she's great as a sub DPS burst option while jihnsi is on cooldowns
I can't believe that's S6 Changli, her damage isn't really good, she's more like a sub-dps imo. I have S2 Changli and do similar damage. I think S2 is a good stopping point because of the 25% cr so it's easier to build. EDIT: alright it seems to be really badly build but I still think that her S6 isn't so good
That Changli is poorly builded, like, 3k atk means that she have double atk echo or 1 atk echo + 2 pc lingering tunes (the atk set). I see the other day a godly builded Changli with 1 atk + 1 fire dmg echo and she have only around 2900 atk. Also 95 crit rate, a s2 Changli only need like 55-60 crit rate due to the 25% crit rate for the s2. A well builded S6 Changli only should do around 15%-20% less dmg than S6 Jinshi.
Are you sure about the Encore Rotation? Here's how I play her with Sanhua and Verina: First rotation: E on Encore, immediately cancel to Verina - E, then switch to Sanhua - E R CA swap cancel to Verina - then R Fill concerto by Jump autos then Q swap cancel To Encore - Q swap cancel third auto to Sanhua - 1 or 2 NA Q swap cancel to Encore - the R. Imoortantly: you need the 3rd and 4th autos from Encore to land but u can cancel the 4th one with E or Dash so don't use E at the start. Aim for 3x 4th autos per liberation. So the standard rotation after the first (starting from Encore's On-field time) would be: R-N4-E-N4-dash-N4-E-CA(swapcancel)-Sanhua E-R-CA(swapcancel)-Verina R-E-Jump-xNA-Q(swapcancel)-Encore Q(swapcancel 3rd auto)-Sanhua xNA-Q(Swapcancel) - Repeat Dodging is REALLY good on Encore cause she immediately does 3rd and 4th autos. Edit: corrected a mistake in the rotation idk what I was on
Really enjoy your videos! Wanted to give you some feedback: I don't think you gave Encore a fair shot in this video, and you repeatedly called her "bad" or "fake" or other negative things, which are simply not true. Respectfully, your Encore gameplay is bad to say the least, and that's okay. I understand that you do not know how to play the character as you do not normally play Encore. Some of her tech (E quickswaps, 3 basic chain R combo) have tight timing windows and take some time to learn. It is also clear that you aren't familiar with some of the fundamentals, like when you repeatedly dodge cancelled her Ult-E and Ult-Basic Chain early, losing very significant damage, and repeatedly not using her Ult-Heavy before Ult expires, which loses another large chunk of damage. To say the character is bad because of your lack of experience on her is simply wrong. I am a completely F2P player, and have played on and off since release. Personally, I have 30/30 cleared every tower that I have played since the release of the game, using encore. On this reset, I easily cleared the middle tower (the only particularly difficult part of this tower, imo) with her, using Encore/Sanhua/Shorekeeper for floor 1 and Encore/Changli/Shorekeeper for floor 2. I have similar Encore echos to the ones in this video, probably slightly better, and use Stringmaster instead of Rime-Draped Sprouts. I have S2 Encore, which according to Prydwen's damage calc's, is ~4% better than the S0 most Encore players will have, and ~14% worse than the S4 encore displayed in this video. I was able to easily clear (>3:30 remaining) using an Encore which is equal to or weaker than the one in the video, due to my experience. I did this even despite having no variation or Shorekeeper signature on my account, resulting in slow Shorekeeper rotations. The character Encore is not bad - you are simply bad at Encore (respectfully). Additionally, many damage calculation resources have decent Encore/Sanhua rotations (correctly) listed as having some of the best single-target DPS in the game. See Maygi's Damage Calculator, for one example. Regardless, please just don't slander Encore or other characters you aren't familiar with before giving them a decent shot. It makes you look bad, both as a player and as a content creator. Again, no hate is meant from this, just constructive criticism, as I really have been enjoying your videos, and hope you keep making good content. : )
What rotation do you use for Encore? I used to clear middle and side towers with her, sanhua and verina (with stringmaster, s0r1, 10-10-10-10-6, 118 er and 81/268), but currently I'm not doing enough to clear middle 1, while half-cooked carlotta with old glacio set managed to 3* it. And I'm doing encore skill -> verina until full concerto -> encore echo -> sanhua skill ult hold atk -> encore brrrrr (1 skill, 1 full basic atk rotation, until 3rd skill, then use skill after ult runs out) rotation. And is nightmare inferno worth it for encore?
I was under the impression he was just playing her wrong too so I took a shot at the same floor with the exact same team he used and managed to 3 star it with a little over a second left. Without s6 sanhua; with s3 encore. She's definitely fine for that, I just don't think he's familiar with how she should be played optimally. Also prydwens dps calcs for encore assumes her worst ult rotation, you would get more damage on an s1 encore doing ult-skill-BA chain-dodge cancel-BA chain-skill-BA chain- default skill- outro then trying to do the rotation prydwen has listed on an s4 encore.

@@CentYT I do have S6 Sanhua - I didn't until this patch (pulled last 3 copies from Carlotta banner), and it is definitely noticeable. Also, I didn't know Prydwen's calcs used the 3 E rotation instead of the 3 BA chain rotation. I would have figured they would use the 3 BA chain rotation since it isn't really that hard, but it is also meant to be a resource for more casual players, which makes sense. @@fastedwarrior7353 we can't really see changli's true value as long as there's no limited fusion DPS that can actually quick swap and does liberation dmg%. Her entire niche right now is that she's literally built for quick swap and her dmg is not something to cough up to as a sub DPS since she does around nearly 350-450k(assuming it's a 70/280 changli) per forte-ult-forte rotation which can be done every 30 seconds. But yes the guys that are defending her for being a good DPS is just delusional, she never was and never will be a main DPS.

Nah saintontas, I think you just somehow got the most frustrating enemy to clear with sanhua encore. I main her, and that bird is a freaaakin pain in the butt, I hate it soo much, whenever I get unlucky enough, that coward ahh bird dodges and flies away from every single one of encore and sanhua's attacks. Like aahhh I hate it so much. I pair encore with changli now, changli's enemy tracking feels soo great whenever I play against bosses yoinks the fugg out. I can chase the enemy well enough during encore ult, but during downtime changli is the one who does. As a casual dolphin who has been getting 27/30 in TOA for a while, I think I will end up with just 24/30 this period. I was looking forward to slowly building up my teams so I can 30/30 TOA one day. But now I regressed. They made the middle towers too hard for players who doesn't have every element built, DPS+Sub DPS+Healer. I hope this isn't a sign for things to come. It is quite discouraging if I used to get 27/30 but one day only 21/30, not because I played any worst but because of power creep. I am all for them making hard core content, but then go create a new event! Leave TOA like it is forever.
imagine going S6 Changli of all characters and have no proper build investment elsewhere, end up not being able to clear TOA and right when you thought that you bricked your acc, mr streamerman saves your ass lmao No hate on going all in on a char you like but wow, if this really is a F2P acc with limited pulls, I respect the smooth brain dedication 🧠
It's almost like not having dupes or several sig weapons means you're not likely to clear ToA. Even most Day 1 accounts are lucky to have two or three sig weapons. Many have to use 4 star weapons.
I have ZERO 5* dupes, ZERO SIG weapons, just the standard 5* gun and sword, F2P, yet I still 30* the Tower, people just need to better manage their resources instead of dumping all their wishes on 1 character, have a decent build and learn proper rotations, it's better to have several 5* characters than 1x 5* with S6 sequences, 5* sequences are for whales, not for F2P, if F2P want to S6 their characters then fine but they can't complain if they're lacking the characters to clear a multi team mode.
Man im a LOW spender (only the monthly astrite thing) that started playing on 1.2 and I have 5 sig weapons and 5 promotional caracters with AWFULL luck (failed 50/50 three times on high pitty) and with the ToA and events and a lil bit of luck you could get at least half the characters with their sig if you forget about the other half
I think I have a few decently built teams(dps having crit rate and dmg on substats) and I think my rotations are okay, but I still can't fully clear the sides for the tower. I don't attempt the center part because of that.
To be honest they should've just made the element res based on the enemies, if the boss is glacio then it's glacio resistant, No need to add another element resistant. Now the floor buff could cater towards the new resonators but it will still benefit other existing characters as well but not as much as the new resonators.
Cleared it with Rover, YangYang and Baizhi. I used 5 star weapons and decent echo set, my only 5 stars are CalCharo and Jianxin their echoes are not complete yet, so i don't want to experiment and get my ass handed to me.
Im a fresh UL60 started playing daily on Camellya (I rerolled for Shorekeeper in 1.3 and just didnt play lmao). I just reached UL60 yesterday and I immediately 30/30 ToA and 12/12 Overdrive, I'd say Im not a casual but your Average Joe. Im a F2P up until 2.0 when I bought the Lunite for the first time. I have 4 advices I'll give to new players is like me that wants to full clear the content 1st is to focus on 1 team at a time, u want to build 1 full team that can clear everything, from there you can slowly build out another team focusing mainly on the main dps ofc. 2nd advice is FOR THE LOVE OF GOD BUILD A DECENT 5 piece Moonlit and 5 piece Rejuv set as you can share it with any team in the tower. 3rd is ONLY PULL STANDARD WEAPONS AFTER THE 80 PITY SELECTOR, I cannot stress how much of a jump 5* Weapons are to fking 4* just in terms of raw stats on Atk alone, u will eventually lose the 50/50 to standard characters anyways so fuck that. 4th and last is please atleast PRACTICE the correct rotations sometimes the fking difference between 2/3 and 3/3 is the proper rotation how shocking. I will say I only cleared Overdrive because I have 3 decent built limited dps characters (S0 R0 Yao, S0 R1 Carlotta, S1 R1 Camellya) and 2 decently built limited sub-dps (S0 R0 Yinlin and S0 R0 Zhezhi). I dont think Overdrive is that important and I most certainly got carried by my luck in the gacha in Overdrive but Hazard is piss easy if u have a decently built units and just PLAY PROPERLY its not that complicated in my personal opinion.
the only thing that i hated is that TOA is a requirement to level up something and as for someone who doesn't do TOA, it's quite the hassle for me since i can't clear that requirement if i don't do TOA...
Would you recommend grabbing Lustrous Razor rather than a Static Mist if I already have The Last Dance on the account? Or should I simply hold out for a broadblade signature that catches my eye down the line and stick to the four star ones for the time being?
Was Changli Bad? I always used her as a Main DPS and cleared whatever section of the Tower i used her in since her release lol. I do need the new nightmare Inferno for her though for that stat boost.
She's a high effort for "decent" reward character. Other characters if you have them require little to no effort on their rotation to output just as much, if not more dmg than her.
Those are kinda tryhard clears ngl, getting 3 stars with just Changli and deadweightBaizhi is a clear indicator of that I only have 2 real teams (since encore plays like crap...) one with Jinhsi and one with XY The resists force 1 Jinhsi 1 XY on left and right 4, hazard 2 is memphis and there goes Jinhsi 2, that means using XY with 10% element nerf on hazard 1 That's 0 stars with timer at 1 min btw, 30% less bonus, 10% nerf on electro plus biweekly hp bloat they do every time and there it went half the damage from 2 weeks ago, and 2 minutes of timer And even the unresisted team on hazard 2 glt me 1 star because without 30% boost 2 minutes become 2:36 and that gets you just below the 2nd star So even without resist that is a 26 star aka not gonna bother with hazard anymore
actually encore is good resonator, u can play quick swap with her. her ult cd is pretty fast. the amount damage is decent too. if u guys wanna learn encore just watch yumi how to play it he/she do it perfectly
To answer the question yes it can be a nightmare for a lot of reasons , not all at once but they still play a part and are subjective. 1) Combat can be terrible to learn as there is to many things to read for a character , videos explaining Combat moves extremely fast that processing the info is difficult and some concepts you might never have heard off making it worse. Synergies, concerto and intro/outro skills are not really well explained. If kuro brings the training system from PGR that can easily solve the problem 2) It's a gacha game so the 50/50 can screw you over for example I only have one limited 5 stars which is camilla the rest lost Yinlin and Jiyan quit before mister f2p so I'm fucked for ToA. It might be better or worse for others. 3)leveling of certain characters might be impossible due to bosses being locked behind a side mission that is bugged as hell depending on your device or if the optimization team decides to f*** you over meaning some characters are stuck at level 40 temporarily. I can not upgrade sunwha and encore as they are mission locked at the moment. 4) Echo farming can become a mission as casuals will not want to spend so much time midmaxing echos and spend so much time killing so many enemies for ideal stats , most will do it once and call it a day. 5)ToA has such a small margin of error that most casuals are going to have hell especially if they overleveled for everything then this game mode kills them. 6)This is a general problem but locking rewards behind a timer is demoralizing especially if you struggled to bet the bosses without a time Some of these examples are what I think from experience and youtube videos but I can be wrong.
I pulled Carlotta S0R1 and Zhenzhi S0R0, leveled their skills a bit, get them new sets with ~130 and ~110 crit value. And finished center tower first try playing both Zhenzhi and Carlotta for the first time ever. Camellya S2R1+ Sanhua S6 and Changli S0R0+XLY S0R1 on left and right (~180 crit value for all of them) My first 30/30 ever.
I only pull for gauntlet characters hence TOA is not even an option to clear for me. Even with i have decently build encore, h rover , XY, yinlin, Jianxin and Lingyang, the fact that Encore and Lingyang are weak compared to limited 5 star banner, really hurts my chances to finish TOA.
I’ve only spent $15 on the game and I’ve gotten 30/30 the last 7 or 8 TOA resets. Just gotta grind really hard to 100% the map and get everything you need
It's miles harder on a real f2p casual account, unless they are lucky and have all the required characters probably. I have the same characters but at s0 and my dmg is nowhere near the same even with better echoes and fully maxed talents... Been playing since day1 and lost every5050 on 70+ pity, i don't see how it would be possible to s6 anyone like this as f2p, i can't even get weapons cuz im fked on the character banner everytime.
One of my issues with ToA is that in a lot of ways it's starting to mirror things that really annoyed the fuck out of me in Genshin's abyss. The enemy res honestly isn't the issue. Adding multiple waves of enemies to fights in my opinion, is. It's especially annoying if they have a tendency to move all around the arena. Often times it feels more like RNG than it does skill when this happens. It's a shitty and boring way to increase the "difficulty" in ToA. I don't really mind it per se if the floor that this happens on is not a boss floor. It's just particularly annoying to me when they do this with bosses. They could just roll the HP of the elites that spawn into the boss' HP and achieve a similar result in terms of clear times. That would be more fun, since you don't end up malding to dumb AI rng, and you get to enjoy the boss fights in themselves. It's also very annoying to me that bosses do not stop, or at least slow down the timer during phases where they are flying. In my runs against Crownless on this TOA, it was taking me a number of tries to clear with Jiyan due to a combination of not entirely perfect rotations, but mainly bad movement RNG with Crownless. Somehow on my last run, I managed to get lucky enough for him not to every go flying around, and I cleared with 30 extra seconds to spare. This was with a relatively major rotation mistake as well (I lost Mortefi heavy attack buff). That's a huge disparity that was entirely dependent on me getting lucky. Also, I'd like to make it clear that this is coming from the perspective of a meta player who has cleared basically every ToA. It's just a matter of how fun the encounters are, and I don't find this direction particularly fun.
I did all floors 2-3 on both sides with only Havoc Rover before. Unless they have havoc resist, I change to Spectro. Idk after the TOA change, i havent tried.
Honestly, this toa caught me off-guard. If it wasn't for Carlotta I wouldn't have been able to beat it as my strongest highly-invested teams are spectro and havoc (no camellya)
I admit its hard and really against time, I having hard time clearing it even with fully build team. RNG, rotation, doge, dmg hit combo all must connect perfectly
The tower is not it. The fact that its timed makes you not interact with the boss mechanics at all and just face tank everything to squeeze out optimal rotations, which is not fun IMO
After Getting SK, I benched Verina and play Baizhi. Both Baizhi and SK has similar play pattern and field time. Makes things so smooth between them. Also I'm not playing no children.:D
I'ma be honest I think I can get like 20+/30 stars but I really hate the Energy stamina system in ToA, I hate it in PGR too. I barely do ToA and I'm just building my Carlotta rn. I do have most characters I use at 8-9/10 on all their skills...
I want an infinity mode where we can earn rewards. I want more of WW combat. Why pull for these characters if we get to use them 1 time every 2 weeks to their full potential?
While this viewer did have a S6 Changli, that was the ONLY character they had properly built on their account.
An S0 Jiyan, Carlotta or Jinhsi would have done the exact same job for a fraction of the investment.
Spend your pulls wisely and build a wide roster if want to clear an endgame mode that requires multiple teams, ladies and gents.
I'm actually floored on how bad S6 Changli is because I thought that she was just bad at S0R1 level and that can be kinda forgiven but now I see that its far worse than I first thought. I am a bit surprised that Kuro would release a Waifu Bait character like that.
No her damage should have been higher. My changli is s4 and her liberation damage is around 250k without her s. weapon. And since that changli s6 she doesnt need 95% crit rate as she has 25 % bonus already. even 50% crit rate would be enough for her.
i have all best dps of the game but all i can do is 24\30
ive told many times. with and without blackshore is like day and light, cuz with just verina u cant do 3+ stages lv 100 enemies. and the game rn is normalize for a team with verina and blackshore
I also have an S6 Changli and she can basically solo everything (even inferno rider if I wanted to)
And my Liberations normally hit for like 350k on average and the forte is 2x 250k on average so idk what is different with his changli but it could be much better

Honeslty good for you to S6 Changli. I think her sequences make her more support though right? So he wasn’t using her properly, if you like Changli, use her, she still cleared and she is still really good!

@@gardevoirmaster5743 All her sequences give to the team is 20% atk which she herself also gets. More sequences you get for her more of a main dps she becomes.
Even here Saint was early cancelling so many Conquests which still gives you forte stack, but misses 3 claw hits.
Changli slander is of the charts... I use her on every ToA and she blasts hard, but if a person is more casual and doesn't dive deep into complexities of her kit and cancels Changli isn't something I would advice, not because she's weak, but because when played wrong she loses too much dmg.

I prefer them to rework TOA by not making it into a dps/rotation check.
What I really hoped for TOA way back during cbt2 was for them to implement Babel Tower from PGR instead. You are able to choose what level of difficulty and buffs/debuffs you wanted for each stage. Casuals can do the bare minimum and still get the rewards. For those who wanted the challenge have the option and the maximum points is just for bragging rights.

I'm also in favor of a total rework of ToA, the current design is honestly, quite uninspired and boring.
I think the hologram boss fights would be a much better fit for endgame content than ToA, they have a time limit but it's generous and it's more about learning the moves of the boss and just defeating it is the challenge. Character building is still a part of it because the more damage you deal the easier it will be to not die.
We could have a tower where you just simply had to kill two or three hologram bosses with your teams getting locked after each clear and I think that would be way more interesting than the current DPS check.

Isnt this kinda concerning about the endgame balancing state of the game. Where you have player with a S6 Changli AND a player that "knows" what they are doing and you only beat the timer by 23 secs and used a S4 Encore who isnt even considered bad and you literally barely beat the timer by not even 1 second. Also with decent investment and a BP weapon is considered "garbage damage"
S6 Changli is like C6 Klee in genshin… You may see the big number at the start of the game, there is the time when Klee is the best DPS and better than Diluc… And after 4 years, no one use klee anymore as DPS, even her C6 can’t match C0 Natlan character

C2 Klee gets a huge dmg buff and can clear the Abyss with ease ,even at C0 with a proper team.
The thing with WuWa is that characters always get calculated with their best echos and stats ,and even than they can struggle.
You need to use the right element characters that get a buff in that stage ,otherwise it can be hard to finish, because of the time limit.
At the end of the day its still a dmg test.
Also S6 character being powercreept,after 6 months is not a good sign for the game.
We will see how how the state of powercreep will be in 6 months.
I just hope they dont go the Honkai Star rail route, where you need to pull for new ,team /dps every 2 months

I'm a casual and did the tower in a couple of tries, not even with that much of an insane investment, so just try guys, not just once to say "oh, doesn't work, so I won't ever touch this floor again."

I’m UL 65 and only have Rover and Calcharo built properly, no Verina or Shorekeeper and play on a phone that drops to 5fps every time I cast Liberation. I cannot clear the tower.
I would honestly like to see saintontas ask the people in the comments who can't clear (anymore) to play ToA for them. I think the people in the stream were mostly people who knew/could accept it were their skill issue/Investment mistakes.I watched a bit of the stream and aside from the S6 Changli there were accounts with more "relatable" sequences that just had suspicious investments. Considering he could make most of them work in under 30 minutes really showed me how easily you can improve your characters to be "ready" for ToA.
And yes, it took 30 mins because weapons or talents were not maxed. Echoes do play a role but when your Jiyan has a 6/10 liberation echoes aint the problem.

I can say that I'm struggling with this ToA for sticking with charlotta team comb to clear middle. But if you have a jinshi team (premium or budget), you can clear it easily. Since jinshi doesn't get affected by the rules of tower.
Jinhsi is what I used for hazard floor 2, 1 star just missing 2 stars by a few seconds
I literally lost 30% timer, with the old attribute bonus it would translate to a 2-3 seconds clear with 3 stars

It's not changli that's the problem, it's people's skill issue, she's great as a sub DPS burst option while jihnsi is on cooldowns

I can't believe that's S6 Changli, her damage isn't really good, she's more like a sub-dps imo. I have S2 Changli and do similar damage. I think S2 is a good stopping point because of the 25% cr so it's easier to build.

@@dream1like i think Changli is more of a aoe main dps than a single target so.... her performance wouldn't be the best.
That Changli is poorly builded, like, 3k atk means that she have double atk echo or 1 atk echo + 2 pc lingering tunes (the atk set).
I see the other day a godly builded Changli with 1 atk + 1 fire dmg echo and she have only around 2900 atk.
Also 95 crit rate, a s2 Changli only need like 55-60 crit rate due to the 25% crit rate for the s2.
A well builded S6 Changli only should do around 15%-20% less dmg than S6 Jinshi.
His changli is built badly.

Are you sure about the Encore Rotation? Here's how I play her with Sanhua and Verina:
First rotation:
E on Encore, immediately cancel to Verina - E, then switch to Sanhua - E R CA swap cancel to Verina - then R Fill concerto by Jump autos then Q swap cancel To Encore - Q swap cancel third auto to Sanhua - 1 or 2 NA Q swap cancel to Encore - the R.
Imoortantly: you need the 3rd and 4th autos from Encore to land but u can cancel the 4th one with E or Dash so don't use E at the start. Aim for 3x 4th autos per liberation.
So the standard rotation after the first (starting from Encore's On-field time) would be:
R-N4-E-N4-dash-N4-E-CA(swapcancel)-Sanhua E-R-CA(swapcancel)-Verina R-E-Jump-xNA-Q(swapcancel)-Encore Q(swapcancel 3rd auto)-Sanhua xNA-Q(Swapcancel) - Repeat
Dodging is REALLY good on Encore cause she immediately does 3rd and 4th autos.

main thing he does wrong is he dont not even ever active s4, you need forte circut atk while being in liberation to do that.

Really enjoy your videos! Wanted to give you some feedback:
I don't think you gave Encore a fair shot in this video, and you repeatedly called her "bad" or "fake" or other negative things, which are simply not true. Respectfully, your Encore gameplay is bad to say the least, and that's okay. I understand that you do not know how to play the character as you do not normally play Encore. Some of her tech (E quickswaps, 3 basic chain R combo) have tight timing windows and take some time to learn. It is also clear that you aren't familiar with some of the fundamentals, like when you repeatedly dodge cancelled her Ult-E and Ult-Basic Chain early, losing very significant damage, and repeatedly not using her Ult-Heavy before Ult expires, which loses another large chunk of damage. To say the character is bad because of your lack of experience on her is simply wrong.
I am a completely F2P player, and have played on and off since release. Personally, I have 30/30 cleared every tower that I have played since the release of the game, using encore. On this reset, I easily cleared the middle tower (the only particularly difficult part of this tower, imo) with her, using Encore/Sanhua/Shorekeeper for floor 1 and Encore/Changli/Shorekeeper for floor 2. I have similar Encore echos to the ones in this video, probably slightly better, and use Stringmaster instead of Rime-Draped Sprouts. I have S2 Encore, which according to Prydwen's damage calc's, is ~4% better than the S0 most Encore players will have, and ~14% worse than the S4 encore displayed in this video. I was able to easily clear (>3:30 remaining) using an Encore which is equal to or weaker than the one in the video, due to my experience. I did this even despite having no variation or Shorekeeper signature on my account, resulting in slow Shorekeeper rotations. The character Encore is not bad - you are simply bad at Encore (respectfully).
Additionally, many damage calculation resources have decent Encore/Sanhua rotations (correctly) listed as having some of the best single-target DPS in the game. See Maygi's Damage Calculator, for one example.
Regardless, please just don't slander Encore or other characters you aren't familiar with before giving them a decent shot. It makes you look bad, both as a player and as a content creator. Again, no hate is meant from this, just constructive criticism, as I really have been enjoying your videos, and hope you keep making good content. : )
What rotation do you use for Encore? I used to clear middle and side towers with her, sanhua and verina (with stringmaster, s0r1, 10-10-10-10-6, 118 er and 81/268), but currently I'm not doing enough to clear middle 1, while half-cooked carlotta with old glacio set managed to 3* it.
And I'm doing encore skill -> verina until full concerto -> encore echo -> sanhua skill ult hold atk -> encore brrrrr (1 skill, 1 full basic atk rotation, until 3rd skill, then use skill after ult runs out) rotation.
And is nightmare inferno worth it for encore?
I was under the impression he was just playing her wrong too so I took a shot at the same floor with the exact same team he used and managed to 3 star it with a little over a second left. Without s6 sanhua; with s3 encore.
She's definitely fine for that, I just don't think he's familiar with how she should be played optimally.
Also prydwens dps calcs for encore assumes her worst ult rotation, you would get more damage on an s1 encore doing ult-skill-BA chain-dodge cancel-BA chain-skill-BA chain- default skill- outro then trying to do the rotation prydwen has listed on an s4 encore.

@@CentYT I do have S6 Sanhua - I didn't until this patch (pulled last 3 copies from Carlotta banner), and it is definitely noticeable. Also, I didn't know Prydwen's calcs used the 3 E rotation instead of the 3 BA chain rotation. I would have figured they would use the 3 BA chain rotation since it isn't really that hard, but it is also meant to be a resource for more casual players, which makes sense. @@fastedwarrior7353 we can't really see changli's true value as long as there's no limited fusion DPS that can actually quick swap and does liberation dmg%. Her entire niche right now is that she's literally built for quick swap and her dmg is not something to cough up to as a sub DPS since she does around nearly 350-450k(assuming it's a 70/280 changli) per forte-ult-forte rotation which can be done every 30 seconds. But yes the guys that are defending her for being a good DPS is just delusional, she never was and never will be a main DPS.

Nah saintontas, I think you just somehow got the most frustrating enemy to clear with sanhua encore. I main her, and that bird is a freaaakin pain in the butt, I hate it soo much, whenever I get unlucky enough, that coward ahh bird dodges and flies away from every single one of encore and sanhua's attacks. Like aahhh I hate it so much.
I pair encore with changli now, changli's enemy tracking feels soo great whenever I play against bosses yoinks the fugg out. I can chase the enemy well enough during encore ult, but during downtime changli is the one who does.

As a casual dolphin who has been getting 27/30 in TOA for a while, I think I will end up with just 24/30 this period. I was looking forward to slowly building up my teams so I can 30/30 TOA one day. But now I regressed. They made the middle towers too hard for players who doesn't have every element built, DPS+Sub DPS+Healer. I hope this isn't a sign for things to come. It is quite discouraging if I used to get 27/30 but one day only 21/30, not because I played any worst but because of power creep. I am all for them making hard core content, but then go create a new event! Leave TOA like it is forever.

It's almost like not having dupes or several sig weapons means you're not likely to clear ToA. Even most Day 1 accounts are lucky to have two or three sig weapons. Many have to use 4 star weapons.
I have ZERO 5* dupes, ZERO SIG weapons, just the standard 5* gun and sword, F2P, yet I still 30* the Tower, people just need to better manage their resources instead of dumping all their wishes on 1 character, have a decent build and learn proper rotations, it's better to have several 5* characters than 1x 5* with S6 sequences, 5* sequences are for whales, not for F2P, if F2P want to S6 their characters then fine but they can't complain if they're lacking the characters to clear a multi team mode.
Man im a LOW spender (only the monthly astrite thing) that started playing on 1.2 and I have 5 sig weapons and 5 promotional caracters with AWFULL luck (failed 50/50 three times on high pitty) and with the ToA and events and a lil bit of luck you could get at least half the characters with their sig if you forget about the other half
can clear with standard banner weapon. if you’re a day 1 player you’d have enough for 3 standard weapon + a free one.

I think I have a few decently built teams(dps having crit rate and dmg on substats) and I think my rotations are okay, but I still can't fully clear the sides for the tower. I don't attempt the center part because of that.
To be honest they should've just made the element res based on the enemies, if the boss is glacio then it's glacio resistant, No need to add another element resistant. Now the floor buff could cater towards the new resonators but it will still benefit other existing characters as well but not as much as the new resonators.
Cleared it with Rover, YangYang and Baizhi. I used 5 star weapons and decent echo set, my only 5 stars are CalCharo and Jianxin their echoes are not complete yet, so i don't want to experiment and get my ass handed to me.

Im a fresh UL60 started playing daily on Camellya (I rerolled for Shorekeeper in 1.3 and just didnt play lmao). I just reached UL60 yesterday and I immediately 30/30 ToA and 12/12 Overdrive, I'd say Im not a casual but your Average Joe. Im a F2P up until 2.0 when I bought the Lunite for the first time.
I have 4 advices I'll give to new players is like me that wants to full clear the content 1st is to focus on 1 team at a time, u want to build 1 full team that can clear everything, from there you can slowly build out another team focusing mainly on the main dps ofc.
2nd advice is FOR THE LOVE OF GOD BUILD A DECENT 5 piece Moonlit and 5 piece Rejuv set as you can share it with any team in the tower.
3rd is ONLY PULL STANDARD WEAPONS AFTER THE 80 PITY SELECTOR, I cannot stress how much of a jump 5* Weapons are to fking 4* just in terms of raw stats on Atk alone, u will eventually lose the 50/50 to standard characters anyways so fuck that.
4th and last is please atleast PRACTICE the correct rotations sometimes the fking difference between 2/3 and 3/3 is the proper rotation how shocking.
I will say I only cleared Overdrive because I have 3 decent built limited dps characters (S0 R0 Yao, S0 R1 Carlotta, S1 R1 Camellya) and 2 decently built limited sub-dps (S0 R0 Yinlin and S0 R0 Zhezhi). I dont think Overdrive is that important and I most certainly got carried by my luck in the gacha in Overdrive but Hazard is piss easy if u have a decently built units and just PLAY PROPERLY its not that complicated in my personal opinion.

Was Changli Bad? I always used her as a Main DPS and cleared whatever section of the Tower i used her in since her release lol. I do need the new nightmare Inferno for her though for that stat boost.
Yes she is really bad the worst DPS in the game and her outro buff is useless in quickswap.
She's a high effort for "decent" reward character. Other characters if you have them require little to no effort on their rotation to output just as much, if not more dmg than her.
Those are kinda tryhard clears ngl, getting 3 stars with just Changli and deadweightBaizhi is a clear indicator of that

The resists force 1 Jinhsi 1 XY on left and right 4, hazard 2 is memphis and there goes Jinhsi 2, that means using XY with 10% element nerf on hazard 1
That's 0 stars with timer at 1 min btw, 30% less bonus, 10% nerf on electro plus biweekly hp bloat they do every time and there it went half the damage from 2 weeks ago, and 2 minutes of timer
And even the unresisted team on hazard 2 glt me 1 star because without 30% boost 2 minutes become 2:36 and that gets you just below the 2nd star
So even without resist that is a 26 star aka not gonna bother with hazard anymore
actually encore is good resonator, u can play quick swap with her. her ult cd is pretty fast. the amount damage is decent too. if u guys wanna learn encore just watch yumi how to play it he/she do it perfectly

To answer the question yes it can be a nightmare for a lot of reasons , not all at once but they still play a part and are subjective.
1) Combat can be terrible to learn as there is to many things to read for a character , videos explaining Combat moves extremely fast that processing the info is difficult and some concepts you might never have heard off making it worse. Synergies, concerto and intro/outro skills are not really well explained. If kuro brings the training system from PGR that can easily solve the problem
2) It's a gacha game so the 50/50 can screw you over for example I only have one limited 5 stars which is camilla the rest lost Yinlin and Jiyan quit before mister f2p so I'm fucked for ToA. It might be better or worse for others.
3)leveling of certain characters might be impossible due to bosses being locked behind a side mission that is bugged as hell depending on your device or if the optimization team decides to f*** you over meaning some characters are stuck at level 40 temporarily. I can not upgrade sunwha and encore as they are mission locked at the moment.
4) Echo farming can become a mission as casuals will not want to spend so much time midmaxing echos and spend so much time killing so many enemies for ideal stats , most will do it once and call it a day.
5)ToA has such a small margin of error that most casuals are going to have hell especially if they overleveled for everything then this game mode kills them.
6)This is a general problem but locking rewards behind a timer is demoralizing especially if you struggled to bet the bosses without a time
Some of these examples are what I think from experience and youtube videos but I can be wrong.

I pulled Carlotta S0R1 and Zhenzhi S0R0, leveled their skills a bit, get them new sets with ~130 and ~110 crit value. And finished center tower first try playing both Zhenzhi and Carlotta for the first time ever.
Camellya S2R1+ Sanhua S6 and Changli S0R0+XLY S0R1 on left and right (~180 crit value for all of them)

I only pull for gauntlet characters hence TOA is not even an option to clear for me. Even with i have decently build encore, h rover , XY, yinlin, Jianxin and Lingyang, the fact that Encore and Lingyang are weak compared to limited 5 star banner, really hurts my chances to finish TOA.
I’ve only spent $15 on the game and I’ve gotten 30/30 the last 7 or 8 TOA resets. Just gotta grind really hard to 100% the map and get everything you need

It's miles harder on a real f2p casual account, unless they are lucky and have all the required characters probably.
I have the same characters but at s0 and my dmg is nowhere near the same even with better echoes and fully maxed talents...
Been playing since day1 and lost every5050 on 70+ pity, i don't see how it would be possible to s6 anyone like this as f2p, i can't even get weapons cuz im fked on the character banner everytime.
One of my issues with ToA is that in a lot of ways it's starting to mirror things that really annoyed the fuck out of me in Genshin's abyss. The enemy res honestly isn't the issue. Adding multiple waves of enemies to fights in my opinion, is. It's especially annoying if they have a tendency to move all around the arena. Often times it feels more like RNG than it does skill when this happens. It's a shitty and boring way to increase the "difficulty" in ToA.
I don't really mind it per se if the floor that this happens on is not a boss floor. It's just particularly annoying to me when they do this with bosses. They could just roll the HP of the elites that spawn into the boss' HP and achieve a similar result in terms of clear times. That would be more fun, since you don't end up malding to dumb AI rng, and you get to enjoy the boss fights in themselves.
It's also very annoying to me that bosses do not stop, or at least slow down the timer during phases where they are flying. In my runs against Crownless on this TOA, it was taking me a number of tries to clear with Jiyan due to a combination of not entirely perfect rotations, but mainly bad movement RNG with Crownless. Somehow on my last run, I managed to get lucky enough for him not to every go flying around, and I cleared with 30 extra seconds to spare. This was with a relatively major rotation mistake as well (I lost Mortefi heavy attack buff). That's a huge disparity that was entirely dependent on me getting lucky.
Also, I'd like to make it clear that this is coming from the perspective of a meta player who has cleared basically every ToA. It's just a matter of how fun the encounters are, and I don't find this direction particularly fun.
I did all floors 2-3 on both sides with only Havoc Rover before. Unless they have havoc resist, I change to Spectro. Idk after the TOA change, i havent tried.

Honestly, this toa caught me off-guard. If it wasn't for Carlotta I wouldn't have been able to beat it as my strongest highly-invested teams are spectro and havoc (no camellya)

RNG, rotation, doge, dmg hit combo all must connect perfectly
The tower is not it. The fact that its timed makes you not interact with the boss mechanics at all and just face tank everything to squeeze out optimal rotations, which is not fun IMO

I'ma be honest I think I can get like 20+/30 stars but I really hate the Energy stamina system in ToA, I hate it in PGR too. I barely do ToA and I'm just building my Carlotta rn. I do have most characters I use at 8-9/10 on all their skills...
I want an infinity mode where we can earn rewards. I want more of WW combat. Why pull for these characters if we get to use them 1 time every 2 weeks to their full potential?
