Ooo! Excited to hear more about okra. I’ll cross my fingers that they do well 🤞 Your garden is looking very full and lush 🤩 The zinnias are fab 😍🌸 Loving the red sunflower too! So cool you’re growing cotton 😲 I’m so sorry for the loss of your fur baby 💔 Love your kitten story. You have a good heart. 😌 Thanks for the tour! Not too long at all 😉
We finally have a cool spell here after blistering heat last week. Finally seeing a few new tomato blossoms. I was worried they were done for the season with the early and prolonged heat we were having. The butternut squash have finally coordinated their male/female blooms and lots of squash set on them. Now, if I can just keep the vine borer away. I put some cantaloupe seeds in the compost pile a few weeks ago. They are just starting to put some blooms on. As I was watering yesterday a vine borer had the nerve to fly over and land next to me! Really?!!! I thought it might be safe to plant some zucchini, but will wait another week or two. Mama cat knows a soft heart lives there and chose your yard to bring her kitties! Feral cats in our area hunt the moles in our front yard. One neighbor also feeds them, and another catches them for spaying/neutering.
Glad to hear you are getting a break in the heat too! I hope your butternut squash do well! Those vine borers are the devil, although I've never had them bother my butternut squash. The feral cats have helped with the rodent problem around the chicken run. I rarely see a mouse anymore, and for a while in the fall and early spring I had a couple of rats in there that I was having an issue getting rid of, but they disappeared within a couple of weeks of the cats showing up.

Thank you! I do hope to do some okra videos in the next month as they really get going!
