That speedy footage was quite funny and entertaining - you can start a new trend of releasing the whole video mid week in speed-larking mode with comedic, Benny Hill type music lol. Yes I know, I'm crazy - it's been a long week 🤣 Wow. What a fabulous looking place is Whitby. I just love the historic alleys and buildings, and beautiful views - just gorgeous. Especially love the history and the 'ghostly' goings on. The beach lark looks like fun too - it's the full package!! LOVED IT. Thank you so much my lovelies xx Teresa ❤🇦🇺
Not that crazy Teresa, perhaps I can work on a comedy compilation special 😄😂 It was our first visit to Whitby, but we will be going back as we loved it there and there's so much to see and do. So glad you could come with us 🤠😎🐼
My grandparents used to take my dad and his siblings to Whitby. Circa 1930. And they used to stay with an old lady who owned an old fashioned boarding house on the abbey side. It’s now the Captain Cook museum, apparently that’s where he used to stay as well 😊 love a bit of Whitby
I enjoyed this lark with you and the history of the cement ship 🛳️! That was a long trip for you both, I hope it wasn’t too much for you! I’m sure when you reached home it was a restful night. Happy to see you doing what you love 💕 Have a wonderful weekend. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💜
Glad you enjoyed ship history on our trip to Whitby Susan. It was a long way, but we paced ourselves by spending 4 days at Halifax and going on to Whitby for the day half way through our stay. We used to do shorter stays, but it makes more sense to stay longer when we're travelling for 5 hours each way. Take care, have fun and as always, thanks for watching 🤠😎🐼
Thanks for sharing your video with us all. The rock mountain is 👍 nice . fossil s are great. Nice day at the beach. Your friend Shirley from new Bern, north Carolina USA. Take care glad you two had a nice day there.❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉😮🎉🎉🎉🎉😅😊
Aww sorry you lost some footage, It is a beautiful area! I would be scared too under the cliff like that, one day it will be a neat cave to see! Cool finds on a cool day! :) Love seeing your smiles! Say hello to Tom for me. :)
Yes Debra, it was very frustrating to realise so much footage was ruined, but we didn't let it spoil a wonderful day and we filmed so much we could still make a video to share with all our TH-cam family & friends. So glad you enjoyed the trip, thanks for watching 🤠😎🐼
I've always thought Whitby looks amazing. I'm jealous of your visit. Yeah, technology... got to love it, til it doesn't work right! What a diverse beach for some 'larking. Everything from driftwood to pipe stems. Incredible. I do remember your previous video on concrete boats. Imagine that, Whitby even has its own too. Thanks for taking us to see it Phil. And also imagine finding some Whitby jet. I hope you had some of Whitby's famous fish and chips before you left. 👍
We did have a great time at Whitby and it's such a bonus that you enjoyed the adventure too. As you said such a variety of interesting things on the beach, but we didn't get to sample the famous Fish & Chips this time. But we will be back 🤠😎🐼
Looks like you guys had a great day out and I'm sure it was even nicer for having met Tom. I've never been to a beach with cliffs. The ones I've been to are all just sandy. I'm going to have to look out for some in the US that I can visit. Thanks for sharing!
Lovely video, we've always wanted to go to whitby. Loved your video, nice fossils and I never heard of a concrete ship before so thanks for that information.
Cool vid. A guy near us in landlocked Derbyshire built a concrete yacht in his garden. It sat there for years until he eventually sold it and was removed to somewhere nearer the sea 😊
Hi Andy... It's one thing to have a traditional yacht inland and take it to the coast, but perhaps a concrete one wasn't ideal to tow! for watching 🤠😎🐼
Yes, it was over in half the time but enjoyable just the same. You can prove your sample is real Whitby Jet by rubbing it on a slate surface. If it leaves a brown or beige mark it is real jet! I learned that watching the Northern Mudlarks. They make jewelry with it.
Other youtubers use that fast method to move things along quickly..did you find any jet? I have a Whitby jet necklace about 4 feet long -up one side and down the other so it hangs about two feet ,with 2 pendants hanging at the end of it.. beautiful stone.
I liked seeing Panda in the beginning of the video.
Manky Panda does love our trips and being on camera ⭐🐼⭐
Yay!!! My three favorite beachcombers!
Thanks Cathy 🤠😎🐼

Yes Charlotte, it is a wonderful place to visit 🤠😎🐼

Hee Hee Technology sigh. That was funny! Enjoyed all the footage you got, as always.
Go Pro... So good when they're working right Laura, but so frustrating 😱 when they go wrong!! 😄😂 Glad you enjoyed the trip 🤠😎🐼
Great trip
Thanks Carol 🤠😎🐼

So glad you enjoy being with us on our trips. The temperature is low single digits here, but that's Centigrade. Thanks for watching 🤠😎🐼
❤Luv ya bunches @Caroline Johnson, and at @Phil Johnson ❤
Thanks Jeannie 🤠😎🐼
Something is happening with some of the videos on my phone today.
Your video is running at double speed. It’s quite funny.
That's strange Dorothy, 🙃 hope it sorts itself out 🤠😎🐼

Thanks for the tip Dorothy 🤠😎🐼
I fixed my phone so my videos ran at regular speed. I had too many old files that I trashed. Fine now.
We have a concrete ship in Galveston Bay in Texas. When you ride the ferry to Galveston, you can see it . There is quite a lot left.
Wow, they seem to have been in use all around the world Karen. Thanks for watching 🤠😎🐼

Was Manky at the helm of the ship again?
Not the wrecked one Ed, 🐼 He's not taking the blame for that 😄😂 See you on the premier 🤠😎🐼
🤣@@LetsgowithTheJohnsons
@@LetsgowithTheJohnsons Ah I see Manky was the videographer for the day. 😅😉Though to be fair it's not easy operating a camera with paws.
