(And Beedle lol.) If Fi exists in this game, then odds are Link and Zelda are reincarnated soulmates from the lore. (Hylia herself is in love with Link.) 8.) The stable has room for two horses. 9.) No I Love You and not so much as even a smooch. I think it's quite lame honestly. & on top of that, the final fight made Ganon look weak after he straight up savaged the Master Sword & Link's arm. They should have at LEAST had Ganon open the fight trying to use the same move, only for a stronger, more determined Link to shrug off the attack.

That would be nice. The pair spent the majority of restoring Hyrule, educating children in Zelda's school, researching ancient artifacts, and taken their relationship to the next level: lovers. However I wanted to have second quest story for dlc. Just to see more of Zelda’s own adventures. But she did wanted to tell Link about her time travel experiences so yeah.
DLC side adventure after the main story, and the true ending if that dlc, Link gets the Mario treatment. A kiss on the cheek. (Or lips. Idc, as long as he gets a kiss from Zelda.)

The theory I've seen that makes the most sense is that BOTW and TOTK split off from SS. The previous zelda timeline happens when Demise is killed in imprisoned form, being crushed by the statue. The cloud barrier is breached, and the Hylians establish Hyrule. This new timeline happens when demise is killed in the past. The cloud barrier is never breached, and the Zonai are the 1st to the surface. The hylians make it down later.
I won't lie, I wanted a romantic ending. Seeing all the kingdoms come together to make a single nation was a great feeling, but I was still jonesing for Link and Zelda to kiss.
I think my favorite part is if you pause at 14:55, Link has his arm protecting Zelda’s head while he tucks her into his side. That shot just shows how much he cares about her and protects her till the end!
As Link kept diving closer & reaching for Zelda, I was repeating, “catch her catch her”. Once Zelda said “I’m home”, I completely lost it. This game has officially broken my 18 y/o hopeless romantic self. Gimme what they have rn.

The fact that that 4 second hug from 14:51 to 14:55 is the closest we'll get to see them being intimate from BOTW and TOTK makes me sad. I've been a Zelda fan since Ocarina of Time, and, as much as I've liked past incarnations of the character, BOTW/TOTK's incarnation of Princess Zelda is the first one that I've really loved. You get a great sense for her internal struggle, her love not only for Link but also for Hyrule and its people, how she puts everything on the line to save Hyrule, and how she ultimately overcomes everything in the end. Much like some of the past incarnations, she does help Link in both final battles too, so that's nice. Plus, the side of her that is obsessed with research is absolutely adorable and endearing. I like to think that Link grew to love her the more he saw of her nerdy side. Also, she's probably my favorite Zelda design-wise; she looks amazing in all of her outfits, particularly her default outfit in both games and her ritual outfit in TOTK.
I mean, Link has the option of saying he’s in a relationship. So yeah, you’d be entirely right that it’s canon and two-sided (from both sides) in this game.
In one of the Tears memories, Zelda speaks to Queen Sonia and King Rhauru so highly about Link, and both of her ancestors would love to meet him. Queen Sonia and King Rhauru act like the kind of parents Zelda needed since her own father have pressure her in a bad way. Anyway, they would like to meet her appointed knight/boyfriend someday if not of the tragedy that started the Imprisoning War.
People can't really deny this, because it is straight up confirmed by Kass in BOTW. And that's okay. Honestly it has always been a love story, they are just making it obvious now. Nintendo should not be afraid to tell mature stories, and they are clearly moving in a direction that makes sense, and grounds the characters in reality.
I hope to God they make a dlc for this and it has zelda and link officially dating. And at least have them kiss or at least hug. Because they are an iconic video game couple like mario and princess peach are

'Cuz he's loved so much he'd save her life again. Both survived again so the darkness could be conquered again, exiled again, expelled again. Ater they survived Calamity Ganon, they survived Ganondorf's attacks. Zelda helped in the final fight as the Light Dragon so Link could kill Ganondorf by stabbin' his Demon Dragon form's forehead. So the evil dragon went boom w/ a big explosion as righteous punishment, then Rauru and his Sonia helped restore her human form. Then Link reached out while they both fell. Then he caught her hand. Then they splashed into the water like Icarus. The dif'rence was Link n' Zelda both survived while Icarus was dead from his crash landin'. Then Link gently carried Zelda in his arms, just like Ashitaka w/ San in Princess Mononoke (literal English translate fer Mononoke Hime).
I really felt iffy on this Zelda in BOTW but seeing her in TotK really solidified her as one of my faves. Getting to read her diary and get a sense for her as a leader and a fellow Hylian to her people really gives her much more depth than pretty much every other Zelda. I wish we got to see more of the other ones but it's so nice to see this one. She is so tender hearted, warm, and wise. I just love her
The final Tear after you find them all; it's as if it instinctively went to Link, & then all the Silent Princesses around him as she flys over calling to her love, brought a tear to my eye, one of the many moments of fhe story that did. It's beautiful how she instinctively protects and helps him in fhe final battle.

It’s just an art style and I don’t see any problem with botw/totk’s. Maybe because I’ve had a thing for cel-shaded art styles since Wind waker, both games blend that cartoonish thing with some realistic art as well, it’s beautiful

I was pissed at the ending cuz Zelda was simping hard for link and gushing to rauru and sonia about it but when she actually sees link she doesn’t even GIVE BLUD A HUG.
YES i wanted a hug so bad. I'm still disappointed there's not even just a hug, especially after all they went through apart. Are they strangers??? Also, maybe unpopular opinion, but i wanted so bad and was so, so sure, that this time Zelda would comfort crying Link as a parallel to BOTW and because of all he has gone through while she was away. It would have been so perfect... No need to even show him crying, just imply it if Nintendo's scared their audience is gonna be mad. Or if it seems unfitting for his "personality", give him a thousand yard stare and collapse in exhaustion and relief. It was the perfect occasion to make his character stop embodying an unhealthy standard, for men, the army, PTSD sufferers, that crying or showing "negative" emotions is weak, and make him seem more human, while teaching a nice lesson of emotional maturity that crying or showing your vulnerability is good/have a heartfelt cutscene that makes the scene more emotional or realistic. Come on, the guy has killed hundreds of monsters in likely graphic ways out of gameplay, had his closest friends die tragically in the Calamity, had his old love interest die, his new one suffer horribly and almost die multiple times, has endured unimaginable physical pain and trauma, and has the burden of Hyrule's eternal destiny on his mortal shoulders. The sake of the world, for forever, is in his hands. And has successfully SAVED THE WORLD from utmost evil FOREVER. And he just... frowns??! WHAT??? I almost want to cry in stead of Link. We'll likely never get another chance that perfect for such a cutscene. DAMNIT i'll stay salty. Anyway, back to the hug, come on Nintendo, fans are begging you and you'll get more profit. Please!
I cant say enough about how insanely good this game is except one thing. I recommend that whoever is reading this at least watches the ending in the japanese version. I can't describe how well everything fits with the people they chose to voice act on that version. I really hope that we get to rebuild Hyrule with Zelda in the dlc, I dont think I can ship these two harder lmfao
I was overjoyed when Zelda turned back to normal. At first when I played I thought merely that the arm itself reacted and Link went with it, but now I don’t think so. Something tells me the arm merely acted as a conduit and Rauru and Sonia merely amplified their power and Link did it on his own. It was his love for Zelda that brought her back. :)

@@Linkthepichu Tbh, with the lore drop that the Master Sword can get stronger by bathing in Sacred Powers I think Skyward Sword and the first Hero during Hyila’s time are the strongest since they had the Master Sword at its peak strongest. And I think this Ganondorf was the closest to being Demise like but it technically wasn’t him. Demise seems many times more powerful than Ganon since he’s an actual God and had his own Master Sword. Skyward Sword Link had the Full Triforce with him and a Fully Upgraded Master Sword to beat him
@skins4thewin Isn't he a projection of the player himself/herself? The player chooses how Link behaves, thinks, and fights. It's appropriately time-honored. If Link was to have a voice of his own, ours as the player would be disconnected.

I love how Zelda geeks out about the murals and Link just takes the torch without her having to ask. Little details like that show their familiarity and closeness at the beginning of the game and make finding her feel a lot more emotionally driven than in BoTW. Overall, I do think ToTK comes across as lot more centered on Zelda and Link as characters, as well as their love for and faith in each other. In BoTW, a relationship between Link and Zelda is there, but it feels kind of like window dressing. The story is very much a generic gotta save the world story with some interesting lore in the background but not a lot in the foreground. ToTK is obviously a save the world story too, but in this case, the plot feels a lot more like a driver designed to pull Link apart and then draw them back together again. Their relationship is at the heart of it. The true main quest in this game isn't to defeat Ganon --- it's to find Zelda. In that way, it feels somewhat reminiscent of Skyward Sword. All the world-ending stakes are there, but what's really driving Link forward is his desire to find his best friend. That kind of emotional core is what makes ToTK's story, especially its ending, feel as good as it does. In spite of the narrative's flaws, you believe in this relationship and you really feel the trials and tribulations that Link and Zelda have had to endure, both while missing each other and waiting to be reunited.

What I hope to see in the DLC if it does happen: - Something involving Zelda. I would love to see her and Link interact and maybe get a glimpse into their life in Hateno - The return of Kass. Man I miss the guy so much. His accordion and how he was a virtal part of the Champions Ballad was undoubtedly the highlight of BotW for me. That's all. Doesn't matter even if there isn't a dlc, it's still game of the year and I'm satisfied enough with what we got in the base game.
I have not yet played the game, and my last BOTW Playtrough was a few years ago. I know in the current installment, there is more character development (for a franchise video game) and therefore room to explore a romantic angle to their chemistry. For Zelda, it is definitely there. The way she talks about him, the affection. She clearly has a hard crush and is down for more. Also, I recognize that there is quite a bit of subtext there, in particular Links old house in Hateno. As for Link, I am not there yet. All the actions I have seen him take in his scenes with Zelda could come from both a loving Boyfriend and a loyal guardian. So long as I don't see Link making a move - even a subtle one - that would be quite out of character as a quardian-in-friendship, I remain determined that they are friends, but at least recgnize that there could be more to their relationship.
Another thing I’ve noticed is that Zelda turns into a dragon in this game and Link turns into a wolf in TP. For those of you familiar with game of thrones, they are the dragon and the wolf. That in itself makes this pairing officially watered down.

You get a great sense for her internal struggle, her love not only for Link but also for Hyrule and its people, how she puts everything on the line to save Hyrule, and how she ultimately overcomes everything in the end. Much like some of the past incarnations, she does help Link in both final battles too, so that's nice. Plus, the side of her that is obsessed with research is absolutely adorable and endearing. I like to think that Link grew to love her the more he saw of her nerdy side. Also, she's probably my favorite Zelda design-wise; she looks amazing in all of her outfits, particularly her default outfit in both games and her ritual outfit in TOTK.
She does have a great design, and the voice acting helps ground the characters in reality. I am glad Nintendo is finally embracing it.
I mean, Link has the option of saying he’s in a relationship. So yeah, you’d be entirely right that it’s canon and two-sided (from both sides) in this game.

In one of the Tears memories, Zelda speaks to Queen Sonia and King Rhauru so highly about Link, and both of her ancestors would love to meet him.
Queen Sonia and King Rhauru act like the kind of parents Zelda needed since her own father have pressure her in a bad way.
Anyway, they would like to meet her appointed knight/boyfriend someday if not of the tragedy that started the Imprisoning War.

People can't really deny this, because it is straight up confirmed by Kass in BOTW. And that's okay. Honestly it has always been a love story, they are just making it obvious now. Nintendo should not be afraid to tell mature stories, and they are clearly moving in a direction that makes sense, and grounds the characters in reality.

So the evil dragon went boom w/ a big explosion as righteous punishment, then Rauru and his Sonia helped restore her human form. Then Link reached out while they both fell. Then he caught her hand. Then they splashed into the water like Icarus. The dif'rence was Link n' Zelda both survived while Icarus was dead from his crash landin'. Then Link gently carried Zelda in his arms, just like Ashitaka w/ San in Princess Mononoke (literal English translate fer Mononoke Hime).

I really felt iffy on this Zelda in BOTW but seeing her in TotK really solidified her as one of my faves. Getting to read her diary and get a sense for her as a leader and a fellow Hylian to her people really gives her much more depth than pretty much every other Zelda. I wish we got to see more of the other ones but it's so nice to see this one. She is so tender hearted, warm, and wise. I just love her
The final Tear after you find them all; it's as if it instinctively went to Link, & then all the Silent Princesses around him as she flys over calling to her love, brought a tear to my eye, one of the many moments of fhe story that did. It's beautiful how she instinctively protects and helps him in fhe final battle.
The difference between her smile here and the awkward smile at the end of BotW makes one kinda happy :)

No need to even show him crying, just imply it if Nintendo's scared their audience is gonna be mad. Or if it seems unfitting for his "personality", give him a thousand yard stare and collapse in exhaustion and relief.
It was the perfect occasion to make his character stop embodying an unhealthy standard, for men, the army, PTSD sufferers, that crying or showing "negative" emotions is weak, and make him seem more human, while teaching a nice lesson of emotional maturity that crying or showing your vulnerability is good/have a heartfelt cutscene that makes the scene more emotional or realistic. Come on, the guy has killed hundreds of monsters in likely graphic ways out of gameplay, had his closest friends die tragically in the Calamity, had his old love interest die, his new one suffer horribly and almost die multiple times, has endured unimaginable physical pain and trauma, and has the burden of Hyrule's eternal destiny on his mortal shoulders. The sake of the world, for forever, is in his hands. And has successfully SAVED THE WORLD from utmost evil FOREVER. And he just... frowns??! WHAT???
I almost want to cry in stead of Link. We'll likely never get another chance that perfect for such a cutscene. DAMNIT i'll stay salty.

I cant say enough about how insanely good this game is except one thing. I recommend that whoever is reading this at least watches the ending in the japanese version. I can't describe how well everything fits with the people they chose to voice act on that version. I really hope that we get to rebuild Hyrule with Zelda in the dlc, I dont think I can ship these two harder lmfao

I was overjoyed when Zelda turned back to normal. At first when I played I thought merely that the arm itself reacted and Link went with it, but now I don’t think so. Something tells me the arm merely acted as a conduit and Rauru and Sonia merely amplified their power and Link did it on his own. It was his love for Zelda that brought her back. :)

@@Linkthepichu Tbh, with the lore drop that the Master Sword can get stronger by bathing in Sacred Powers I think Skyward Sword and the first Hero during Hyila’s time are the strongest since they had the Master Sword at its peak strongest. And I think this Ganondorf was the closest to being Demise like but it technically wasn’t him. Demise seems many times more powerful than Ganon since he’s an actual God and had his own Master Sword. Skyward Sword Link had the Full Triforce with him and a Fully Upgraded Master Sword to beat him

I love how Zelda geeks out about the murals and Link just takes the torch without her having to ask. Little details like that show their familiarity and closeness at the beginning of the game and make finding her feel a lot more emotionally driven than in BoTW.
Overall, I do think ToTK comes across as lot more centered on Zelda and Link as characters, as well as their love for and faith in each other. In BoTW, a relationship between Link and Zelda is there, but it feels kind of like window dressing. The story is very much a generic gotta save the world story with some interesting lore in the background but not a lot in the foreground.
ToTK is obviously a save the world story too, but in this case, the plot feels a lot more like a driver designed to pull Link apart and then draw them back together again. Their relationship is at the heart of it. The true main quest in this game isn't to defeat Ganon --- it's to find Zelda. In that way, it feels somewhat reminiscent of Skyward Sword. All the world-ending stakes are there, but what's really driving Link forward is his desire to find his best friend.
That kind of emotional core is what makes ToTK's story, especially its ending, feel as good as it does. In spite of the narrative's flaws, you believe in this relationship and you really feel the trials and tribulations that Link and Zelda have had to endure, both while missing each other and waiting to be reunited.

I have not yet played the game, and my last BOTW Playtrough was a few years ago. I know in the current installment, there is more character development (for a franchise video game) and therefore room to explore a romantic angle to their chemistry. For Zelda, it is definitely there. The way she talks about him, the affection. She clearly has a hard crush and is down for more. Also, I recognize that there is quite a bit of subtext there, in particular Links old house in Hateno. As for Link, I am not there yet. All the actions I have seen him take in his scenes with Zelda could come from both a loving Boyfriend and a loyal guardian. So long as I don't see Link making a move - even a subtle one - that would be quite out of character as a quardian-in-friendship, I remain determined that they are friends, but at least recgnize that there could be more to their relationship.
