The Rockford Files is an American detective drama television series starring James Garner that aired on the NBC network between September 13, 1974, and January 10, 1980, and has remained in syndication to the present day. Garner portrays Los Angeles-based private investigator Jim Rockford, with Noah Beery Jr. in the supporting role of his father, Joseph Rockford, a retired truck driver nicknamed "Rocky". The show was created by Roy Huggins and Stephen J. Cannell. Huggins created the television show Maverick (1957-1962), which starred Garner, and he wanted to recapture that magic in a "modern day" detective setting. Twilight is a 1998 American neo-noir[2] thriller film directed by Robert Benton, written by Benton and Richard Russo, and starring Paul Newman, Susan Sarandon, Gene Hackman, Reese Witherspoon, Stockard Channing, and James Garner. The film's original score was composed by Elmer Bernstein. It received mixed reviews from critics and was a box office bomb, grossing $15.1 million against its $20 million budget. (Wikipedia)
Tom Snyder (1936-2007) was an American television personality, news anchor, and radio personality best known for his late night talk shows Tomorrow, on the NBC television network in the 1970s and 1980s, and The Late Late Show, on the CBS Television Network in the 1990s. 'Tom Snyder was a pioneering figure in broadcast journalism who brought a no non-sense attitude to broadcast television news. Loved by millions, respected by peers, and resisted by the executives for speaking his mind.'

Such a treasure to have Tom Snyder forever on the internet, he was such a character and respectable guy. I'm not sure he wouldve liked how we've become since his death.

I think you’re correct Mr. King. Tom would be appalled at the hate, the racism and the separate camps. He’d have a profound fear of the, threat to Democracy and all its values.

I was in Hollywood early 90s and I was listening to Tom Synder on the radio. He was doing a show at a local Restaurant. I said to myself, hey go see Tom, never did. As I sit here I really could kick myself in the head for not going!!!

His questions were all scripted and pre-arranged with his guests. He often would ask a question and get an interesting answer, then immediately jump to an entirely different subject, confusing some of his guests, who were waiting for a follow up. I was part of his film crew.
      He was a peculiar guy.
