    he always mentions his other daughter Lucy. stemmed from the fact that she had a tragic accident that's probably why in his mind, he gave her preference. but when all said and done. He always calls for Ann when he wakes up from his bed every day. and at this moment, his true sense of love for both of his daughters comes across so beautifully.
    It's just amazing the level of details and the space this movie gives you to draw your own conclusions. what a fine piece of art.

    • @yevgeniyaleshchenko849
      @yevgeniyaleshchenko849 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No, it's not ''beautiful'', it's sad and tragic. Heartbreaking. And no, he doesn't give her preference because she died, Lucy was always his ''favourite''. Also, his true sense of love does not come across at all as he's rarely lucid or self-aware.

    Hopkins performance is breathtaking and heartbreaking. Colman once again shows an ability to convey deep emotions without words. Fabulous concept by director to challenge the viewer and involve them in the confusion of the disease. Brilliant!

    Sometimes, even though people are cruel to you most of your life, you must be able to care for them if just as a human being when they are this way.

    I'm not poking fun at him but I seriously think its adorable how he wants to be nicely dressed everyday and he is truly in and not really overly frustrated. And I love how Anne helps him and doesn't suggest he wear something easier to put on because its important to him.

    Just have watched this movie. Heartbreaking tear jerker Anthony Hopkins deserved the Oscar for his performance. All you children who have elderly parents need to watch this. Have a heart when you decide to put away one of your parents because they interrupt your life by needing your care. I am crying while I am writing this because I know for a fact that is what my daughter is trying to do me. NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. BE 78 next month and still working and taking care of myself. TO my daughter: You have got your troubles. I have none. Just living and waiting on word from God: TIME TO COME HOME NOW!

    • @yevgeniyaleshchenko849
      @yevgeniyaleshchenko849 ปีที่แล้ว

      In this film she did NOT put him away because he ''interrupted her life'' but because she simply could not care about him anymore. He was seriously ill, he needed PROFESSIONAL care that she could not provide. How dare you judge her? Hasn't it occured to you that your daughter also might want to do what's best for you? Why are you publically shaming her, do you think it's okay to do this to your child? How can you tell others what to do if every situation is unique and in some cases there is NO other option?

    • @yevgeniyaleshchenko849

      @@michaeldouglas9394 One of the most useless advice ever. ''don't upset yourself'' sure, as if it's so easy for troubled people. ''keep strong'' oh shut up, it's not about being ''strong'' at all. Cringe.
