My 2013 Civic’s muffler just broke off at the same spot. This looks like a pain to pull off without a hoist so I’m going to take it to a muffler shop. Thanks a ton for this detailed video, atleast I have an idea of what I’m dealing with!

you do not tighten the springs all the way down that is why they have springs on them so the springs do the proper tension

Hello you can purchase this repair kit at hamilton discount auto parts in hamilton ontario it's a muffler flange repair kit call them they will know this part thank you
Would this part work with a 09 civic? It looks pretty much the same. My car's muffler flange broke off in the exact same spot

Thanks for the steps, I was able to fix my Corolla in the same way. Easy-Peasy with your steps. Saved $$$$$$ with the mufflerman. For those of you in Canada and US, these guys in Canada makes these kits for all makes and models > m a n d r e l b e n d i n g / c a. Not sure why TH-cam doesn't allow URLs.
