It's one of those moves that's great when it works and frustrating when it doesn't I liken it to jin's parry a bit except that this has a minimum animation time before you're allowed to cancel it into a move It'll be interesting to explore which strings you can option select using this
Pretty much any string as long as it doesn’t contain a low- even then (like Hwo D44) it’s dependent on whether the next hit is ‘natural’ or only on CH. Kaz 1243 for example will mean you get hit by the final 2 hits guaranteed.

I'm an older player and honestly I don't think I use Muscle Armor as much as I should😅 The move really is +35 on hit as a heat engager. You have time for gimmicky stuff like microdash into i29 Frankensteiner their only option is to duck or take damage. The main use case I want to get used to using this move for now is when in heat. *Combo Recommendation* 62-63 damage: Muscle Armor, 2 F heat dash, b2,4, 1, f+1+2, d/f 4,3, b1,2, 2, iSW -- (For 1 extra damage you can 2 jab instead - I find 1 jab more consistent [With the 2 jab you have to delay d/f 4,3 and b1,2 or something vs small bodies) If this is enough damage to kill - fishing for it is a great low risk high reward route to winning the round. A weakness to the move - If you hit king with fast moves like 1,2 - he freezes long enough for you to get a guaranteed throw. And another major pro of the move is just limiting your opponents moves and disrupting their gameplan. It's basically a better stand guard who's only weakness is throws. I wouldn't be surprised if the move was changed in the future so that CH Low's beat it to make it a bit fairer.
Yeah- that's my worry as well that they remove the CH low guard away- and if they also nerf CH DF2 then I don't think we'll ever see King in a Top 8 :(
@@beigemaster Yea - I really hope we keep CH d/f 2 - and they nerf it in other ways. Maybe make it a bit more linear and adjust frames on block. OR if they really want to gut the move - Keep the CH confirm but change the knockdown so we just get a mini combo like d/f 2,1, f4 That might be the best - cause' then we keep the CH confirm - but suppose we get 54 damage instead of 76.
@@8bit_pineapple given the fact they keep making T8 all about 50/50s, I suspect it will stay the same but you won’t be able to CH confirm anymore- so it will be like B12 and you’ll have to commit.

If you get hit by the first hit of Jun/Asuka's d+3+4 -- If you hold back you will block the high. And if you are Counterhit launched by a low - you pressed buttons after doing armor without waiting for the opponent to finish their move/string
Id say the armour is more important than heat, King’s heat stuff really isn’t that good APART from the heat smash- so really I just use the threat of the heat smash to land all my throws and lows because only a madman would duck King in heat when he has the heat smash available.
Spam muscle armor on defensive players to running giant swing is OP. Use it a bit on tekken emperors and Gods as a kishin

When I do this it doesn't work. They do a high low mix up and I get launched.

When ever i spam this in red rank and purple they alway throw low because in red an purple rank they only use low attack😢
