I was blessed to receive some of your jewelry for my birthday this year. My dad, who purchased it, is a geologist and is very impressed with your knowledge about these stones! We love how much you love your creek. I'm so glad my children will get to grow up on a creek too (ours is called Big Shoal Creek). May God bless you and your work.

Katie, I am trying to watch all of your Lapidary videos. I love the bloopers you two are messed up , In a good way LOL. Working with rock is some what like me napping flint, the rock will talk to you. You said sometimes the shape is what it is, something in the rock takes another path or shape then what you started with. Like myself there are more broken flint points on the floor then what I get to keep LOL. When I start working a rock or antler for knife handle or piece hide / leather to work I burn sage and ask the great spirt for direction. Just like you in the creek you pick up any rock and it either says take me and make something out of me or it say nothing. God works in many different ways. Your blessed, you and your family stay safe. Tell Corie stop messing with them spiders!

I just found you girls on TH-cam. I love you both as well as your family. You're special to me because I have Twin sons. They are 27 this year. One of my sons just got engaged last year. They're 5 minutes apart. Lol. I have a specific type of rock you may be interested in. They are primarily found in one place, but pretty plentiful. They are Petoskey stones. They are only found in and immediately around Petoskey, Michigan. It is the north-western side of the mitten! They are beautiful when polished. I have seen some that were about 3 pounds, and others the size of a pebble. Just wanted to let you know that. Keep up the good work girls! Enjoying you all so much.

Your first cab is Stunning. Like a master chocolatier made some kind of insanely beautiful Easter Candy... and I laughed out loud about the throwing rocks at other children. Lolol you are so funny and relatable and just a joy to learn from. Ps. Listened to a Presley girls concert today and your tone is so round and lovely like you wanted out of your electric guitar you bought, and I asked my hubby for your girls cd for Valentine’s Day (I just want it and I picked the closest holiday for an excuse. Lol) because I simply LOVE to listen to you girls sing that old timey music with your sister harmonies, and plan to sing along with my five daughters who love to sing and harmonize with their mama, so agreed, all glory to God for making your dreams come true, because your hard work is going to bless future generations through your musical influence, and I know through you girls humility, that means a lot. God is awesome!!! Bless you both and your mama and whole family, in Jesus Christ’s wonderful name, amen. Thank you for sharing your gifts with us. ❤️

My husband and I spent 3 years in Mongolia. I would call that the Rock Capital of the World! We did a LOT of walking. By the time we got back to our apartment or office each day, my pockets were full! They have the most colorful rocks I’ve ever seen!
I was almost detained by customs when we left there because I had a nice piece of petrified rock from the Gobi. The agent said it was “forbidden!” So I let them keep it!

I was absolutely entranced while watching you put this rock through it's paces. I could watch you do this for hours. I believe that given the chance, I would fall in love with learning how to cut rocks and make them beautiful...although I think they are beautiful just as they are when picked off out of water or the dry earth. In am an avid rock/crystal collector and have acquired quite the collection over the past few years. When I was a little girl I used to collect rocks, wash them and display them on a little table in front of our house with a sign that read, "For sale. The best rocks in the world"! (to this day, I believe any sales that I made were from the result of my parents' 'suggestive selling' techniques when I wasn't looking). Once again, thank you so much for this video and your other content. Blessings.

I have a good friend in Wilkes that used to do what you do with those rocks and he made jewelry. I should have bought his equipment when he sold it. I have a Lot of stones, some are tumbled. I have some labradorite, green and blue and a gold color one that is really nice with that iridescent color buried in it. I'm sorry to ramble on. I am super interested in all this.

This was fascinating! What a talent and gift God gave you! I had no idea what all goes into making a cabochon; didn't even know its name. Thank you again, Katie! God has truly been using you because I used to think only the huge rocks were interesting enough to look at. When really there's so much beauty in all kinds of rocks- rocks He created. He gave you eyes to see His beauty and now I am too. May He bless you!
P.S. loved the bloopers! Thanks for the laughs!

I’m glad you liked the bloopers! We are never serious! And indeed it’s all Gods beauty! He’s made us such a beautiful place. And the big rocks are really fun too! And even the small ones can sometimes be interesting! Thank you!

I just ordered 2 necklaces from you! They're both purple/lavender color. I think amethyst and agate are the largest stones. I just adore your work! I live in Colorado, lots of beautiful rocks here. I'll send you some-- you can cut them and see what you find! I'm going to my creek tomorrow-- hopefully it's open and not covered in feet of snow. Love to you and your family! I love ALL the videos y'all provide. Thank y'all for everything you each do!
    Blessings!! ✝️

@@thepressleygirls - it is soooooo cold today! My creek is at 10,400 ft. elevation... not sure I feel like being 🥶 frozen! LOL! The sun is hidden behind the clouds and a snowstorm is rolling in! Yay for skiing though ⛷! I'll get there eventually. ❄️

Bravo to you for turning your passion into a full-time living! I've been to estate sales where they have liquidated a former rock hound's collection of raw materials. Unfortunately I didn't know nearly enough to pick out the gems.
I can see how the transformation process could be addictive. It's almost magical.
