as an Aborignal Australian i really really appreciate your perspective on the house on the cerulean sea. after you originally posted it, i was going to purchase it but with how parallel our own history to canada it just feels wrong. so thank you for bringing that up and i really appreciate you bringing to light because more people need to hear about it and understand that when purchasing the book.
It’s so refreshing when people actually research into books! Thank you for sharing all this info on The House of the Cerulean Sea - it’s so important!!
hi rachel! i don't usually comment on youtube videos, but i just wanted to say i LOVE your vlogs!! i always look forward to them each week. because of you, i have found a passion for reading, and love the bit where you talk about books in your vlogs!! 🥰💛
I loved this vlog!! So satisfying when a flatpack comes together 😍 Loving the book updates too - you're getting me so pumped about reading! Definitely putting some of your recommended books on my to-read list.
Me watching Rachel’s skin get clearer and clearer throughout the video: 👀 I have had cystic acne and I understand the struggles so it makes me happy to see your skin looking so bomb 🥰💗
I’ve found some of my favorite books from your book talks!! It’s so cool to me to find another Christian girl my age sharing her life and her love of books. Keep doing what you’re doing love :)
I remember when you bought the adidas jacket from an op shop years ago. I love watching your vlogs every week because I honestly feel like I am just hanging out with two friends, you and Liam. Congratulations on lockdown ending. Unfortunately we are all still in lockdown in Sydney. It is quite hard to get into a routine during lockdown and it helps when you showed us and talked about your daily routine and it has inspired me to come up with a daily routine. I thrive off routines as well. However it is so hard to get myself into a good routine at the moment. Anyway thank you for making another awesome video. Hope you and Liam have a good week.
ahhh i'm so glad everyone's reading colleen hoover at the moment, she's my absolute fave and her books are so incredible. ugly love is definitely a hit or miss for some people but i thought it was amazing. definitely check out maybe someday!! there's also songs that go along with it made specifically for the book!!
honestly, thanks for putting the book talk at the end, i love you and love your vlog and respect and look up at your love for reading but dont really appreciate it!!! so i am one of those who go watch more of your vlogs but skip the book talk :)
Keep that book content coming if that’s what you enjoy doing. Remember it’s your platform and you can post whatever makes you feel happy, not what people want and don’t want to see. At end of the day reading is a big part of who you are and if you want to create more content around books, me and plenty other subscribers will be living for it! Do you my girl ❤️
thank you for sharing about House on the Cerulean Sea- so important!! Unfortunately, I bought it MONTHS ago, though I still havent read it, and prolly won’t knowing what you shared! so thank you!
See’s a 28min Vlog and gets really keen! 18min in it’s over and the rest is books aha..so I started watching the book portion and I love it. I’m so time poor (I know definitely not a good excuse) but I’ve always loved reading I’ve just suffered through so many trash books, i’m glad to be able to hear someone’s opinions. Thank you RC x
Hi Rachel, love you videos! Was just wondering if you could do a skin update and what you are doing to manage it? Would love to see the products your using x
Rachel you should read Indian Horse by Richard Wagamese or The Break by Katherena Vermette if you want to learn more about Indigenous content, Residential Schools in Canada, and the 60's Scoop (the term used when children were taken from their families) and the intergenerational trauma that is still occurring today and affecting families and communities! I'm an Indigenous Canadian and love that you are learning and researching Canada's history!
Don't ever be sorry about you talking about books. I love to hear about her about you talking to you in general, even your own personal thoughts and opinions about them
Loved the vlog ! :-) Would you be interested in doing more sit down videos on productivity / money saving / budgeting tips? I remember the first video I have seen from you - "How I saved thousand of $$$ as a teenager" - it helped me tremendously! I always go back to it when I need to bring up my money saving motivation. It truly changed my life and I was able to save ten thousands of euros in the process. I truly believe you have a gift regarding motivation and productivity and saving and I am sure plenty of us could benefit from your wisdom in this area :-). As well, I know you keep mentioning that some people complain about the vlogs being repetitive (but so is the life of must of us, lol), which I don't necessarily agree with, but maybe spicing things up with some good ol' productivity and savings videos could help expand the range a bit. We love you nonetheless and look forward to all your vlogs :-). Have a blessed day.
Oh god, I would slightly be terrified that the window cleaner could fall and my phone then as well :D As I saw how you took the selfies for Insta :D I didn't know about the background of the house on the cerulean see, so thank you for bringing this up
If you’ve seen Anne with an E (which is a really good show),season three shows some of the experiences of the children taken by the Canadian government. America gets shaded a lot for how the natives were treated in the 17th and 18th century but it’s honestly nothing in comparison. The past is the past but it’s unfortunate how most people have never heard of the situation.
It'd be awesome if you could give some tips on how to stay motivated and stick to a routine during lockdown! I'm the same in that I thrive on routine but I really struggle with maintaining one during lockdown. You'd think after six I'd have it together aha. Awesome video 🤠
i have a heart condition and can’t drink normal coffee, and i tried already ground decaf coffee so i could still have really nice coffee without the caffine because my body can’t handle it and it is delicious. also nescafe deaf cappuccino sachets are chefs kiss if you’re looking to explore a few more options
Great vlog lovely Rachel!!! 😊 What happened to indigenous Canadians is very similar to what happened to Aboriginal Australians with the stolen generation.
Amazing video as always Rach, and I’d have to agree about the first book, the background just doesn’t set well with me, also, all of your weekly vlogs are great!😸
It's really inspiring how you set a goal and motivate yourself to actually do it. I'm good at making lists about what I need to do but do struggle to motivate myself to actually do it - especially with exercise - making a plan and calling it a challenge for me to complete had helped a bit. Any productivity tips? Xx
If you’re getting a lot of criticism about the content of your vlogs or the book parts I would just take into account that there is a silent majority who love it! I don’t always comment and I’m sure it’s the same for many, I think people who have something negative to say are more likely to vocalise it. Wouldn’t be opposed to you becoming a booktuber is all im saying ;)
I loved The House In The Cerulean Sea, it’s such a simple, cute and comforting book. But yeah knowing the history behind it kinda ruined it for me😕 I didn’t like Ugly Love that much sadly. It’s like you said either you love Colleen Hoover books or you don’t and I fall into the not so much line😅
Hi Rachel, I've just started watching your vlogs and really enjoy them :) I think you'd love The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry by John Mark Comer (from Koorong), it's life changing, based on scripture and helped me understand the importance of taking a Sabbath 🤍
Rachel, I appreciate you talking about the background of the book.

I’m totally on the same page! I’m so glad Rachel spoke about this.
absolutely on the same page! couldn’t have said it better myself! ☺️
It’s so refreshing when people actually research into books! Thank you for sharing all this info on The House of the Cerulean Sea - it’s so important!!
I love your book updates! You are kinda starting to form a book club & I'm totally here for it. ;)
May you have a blessed week! xx😇
Hahahaha I love that!! 🤣🥰
@@RachelCatherine I would 100% sign up if you started an online book club ♥♥♥
Honestly my fave vlogs are when you’re at home! They’re super comforting. 🤍
It was really awesome of you to mention the background behind the book 👍🏼

I love your weekly vlogs and seeing what you get up too, not boring at all!!! Love your book reviews too!!! 💗💗
Me watching Rachel’s skin get clearer and clearer throughout the video: 👀 I have had cystic acne and I understand the struggles so it makes me happy to see your skin looking so bomb 🥰💗

Furniture looks great!
absolutely loved this vlog
Thanks Rachel for sharing about the Indigenous genocide issues in both Canada and Australia. It’s awful and I’m glad you raised that point 🤎
Don't ever be sorry about you talking about books. I love to hear about her about you talking to you in general, even your own personal thoughts and opinions about them
Really enjoyed ugly love , I’m reading it ends with us now. Love your book reviews.
Holy shit I lost it when you were in the car at the shops with liam and you went "a man of many words, as per usual" 😂😂😂😂😂

me, a zipper kid who has a resting HR of 130: double shot oat latte with caramel syrup please
I don't know if you take recommendations for books but Matthew McConaughey's memoir 'Greenlights' is very inspirational, I couldn't put it down :)
Great vlog lovely Rachel!!! 😊 What happened to indigenous Canadians is very similar to what happened to Aboriginal Australians with the stolen generation.
Great vlog! X
Amazing video as always Rach, and I’d have to agree about the first book, the background just doesn’t set well with me, also, all of your weekly vlogs are great!😸

Hey Rach, look up the app couch to 5k for running xx

Eep there are so many things you can do to help yourself, but you just need to find what works for you!
How much was ikea delivery?? I tried ordering a small $70 shelf from them and they were going to charge me $160?!
where are your earrings from? they are super cute !! 🤍
I usually wear either Ana Luisa or just Kmart!
How many pages do you usually read per day? I feel like it takes me weeks to finish one book wish I could read them quicker
It really depends on how much time I have and how much I like the book! I read more on weekends because I have more time, but it just ranges!
could you do an Instagram reel or TH-cam vid/vlog on how you edit your Instagram pics. Love seeing your reading

You need to read Heart Bones by CoHo! Def a fav!
Try the personal librarian
Death before decaf ☕️😵

What made you decide to change churches??
Talked about it in my previous vlog 🥰
You should look into Canadian residential schools, if you want to do some more research. (The last one closed in 1996)
Hot chips are so good but cold chips are really not haha

Did you not wear a mask when exercising?
First hehe
