I continue to come back to this cover because of how majestic it is. I never heard of Dave Greenfield, but I heard his name when he died while listening to Marky Ramone's Satellite Radio Station, and Marky started playing this song. I was so blown away by it, and went on TH-cam to find some covers of it, and that's when I found this one. This inspired me so much that I decided to add it to my list of songs I cover. I don't know what it is, but the production of this track, the level of ambience it has, makes this one of the best covers I've heard of any songs on TH-cam.

I called her Golden Brown because of her breath takingly beautiful eyes... This was long before I heard your cover. I've moved on...but your version takes my back to a place when I'd look into her eyes and tell her how much I loved her without saying a word. She's just a memory now... But this song still makes me feel.
Golden Brown remains one of my favourite songs, ever. Because of the mix of bass, guitar and electric guitar Golden Brown is a super difficult song to cover, almost impossible. This acoustic version is my favourite version because it's so simple! So much respect!
