I wanted a Mark 1 at 10 years old in 1969 with a passion. I never got a chopper, or for that matter a Johhny Seven One man army gun. I got a bloody etch a sketch instead for x-mas. For years and years, I never let my dad forget it, that lasted until 2008 when he died. At 65 I have just bought a new ultra violet model, the neighbous giggle but i don't care. You can rest in peace now dad, this Stocktonian boomer is happy now, no thanks to you lol.

Always wanted one. Never had the money. My dad bought my first bike came from a police auction $2.00
Great to see, thank you. I missed all this and have only seen short clips.
It was footage I thought worth keeping as it all adds to the Mk4 story
They were around $70 new in NZ when I was a nipper.
Never did have the chopper, had the Woolworths version instead, it was blue and it had to rear round reflectors that made it look like rockets.
I had the next best bike called a Grifter, great memories
In Australia we had a similar bike called a dragster. As far as functionally was concerned they were shit. Very expensive and flashy.
