That looks terrible.. When its on the saucepan get like a hand towel or something, roll it up and place it under the cap in the crown to fill out the space and get a nice rounded curve at the top of crown. Then use an iron to get the creases out and to get the crown full and properly shaped. Use the steam function on the iron to make the fabric release the creases, and to mould the crown, then press the iron to set it in shape. As an option you can use fabric starch to really lock in the shape.
If the snap has a sticker, a tag or a signature that you're trying to avoid - I like to tape a plastic bag over the brim, and spot clean it. By which I mean, use a toothbrush and dunk the brush in the water - then apply to the hat. Don't dunk the whole hat. Hope that helps bud!
