Defender? That's an understatement, dude looks like Zhong Li with that health. Although, the damage is super low, so it makes sense
Hope it stays that low. Won't want another EX pokemon just wiped the entire enemy team out by itself.

i mean the bots in offline have no items and emblems so u will always deal more dmg to them , but still we need to wait for the pts videos and judge for ourselves
Maybe the issue is the attacker players aren’t great lol, nothing wrong with tanks doing damage
considering most players that pick atackers suck really bad at doing damage, a defender with that feat isn't that big of a deal
Things to take note of:
1. Ho-oh doesn't get unstoppable during sky attack or fly, so they can be cancelled.
2. Flamethrower also seems to burn the ground and provide healing to Ho-oh.
3. Flamethrower has a short range so it can provide some poke for scouting bushes by listening for the SFX that plays when enemies burn, but nothing crazy.
4. We didn’t get a good look at how much healing regenerator does, so it could be better or worse than leftovers.
5. It looks like eject button will work well with fly/flamethrower and full heal will work well with sky attack/fire spin.
6. We don’t know how Ho-oh's healing works yet - it could scale off of dmg dealt, total HP, or a set percentage based off of the amount of enemies hit so stacking one or even both may help.
7. We didn’t get a good look at how the revival on Ho-oh works, but he seems to revive the closest teammate if you just press it without aiming.
8. Fire spin provides some effect that I couldn't tell since I don’t speak Spanish but it was above Ho-oh's head.
9. Half of its moves seen here are special in the main series game but Ho-oh is also a physical attacker in the main series so I believe it will be a physical attacker (not the role, just the damage it does).
10. We didn’t see if Ho-oh can be stunned out of its unite but if it can be, then full heal basically becomes essential.
Ho-oh gets a shield during Fire Spin.
Fly and Sky Attack are physical moves, not special. Either way, as a tank it should be built accordingly. It's general lack of hard CC is also a weak point.
Great notes, bro. But still looks coutereable. But the unite is just too much. Also it consumes ur whole aeos gauge, so we dont know either how much is needed for 1 revive and how many it can revive with the full 50 aeos. I just hope it lacks damage, cause also we cant be sure as bots take increased damage. But still it seems like it won't be hitting too hard. I think double stacking and a resonant or focus will be the most broken anyway. As u can stack before lv 9 and then save it for ult. The other ex so far are bad with stacking (except for Mewtwo x in my opinion)

Because it's not balanced and fair, what are they going to do? Die again? In competitive it's going to be a big problem in the last two minutes, because your team can aggro all you want without consequences

Lugia might be next Anniversary, The pattern has been Mewtwo and Ho-Oh so it would be reasonable to assume they're going Pokédex.
Pokémon Day in February has been newer Legendaries with Zacian and Miraidon.
Prediction now, Groudon/kyogre for next anniversary and ogerpon for pokémon day
I see Ho-oh as more of a Speedster Pokemon and Lugia like a defender Pokemon

@@ElChicoEeveeI mean it still looks pretty bad for low quality. Most of the stuff they get rid of for lower quality is animation FX but I never heard the sound be bad.

This is literally just the summation of a bunch of other mons.
Ho-oh's basic attack sustain mimics Umbreon's.
Tailwind is Eldegoss' Leaf Tornado.
Sky Attack kind of reminds me of Tsareena's Trop Kick.
Fire Spin is basically just Trevenent's Curse.
Flamethrower is a consistent version of Greedent's Bullet Seed
And Fly is just a diet Charizard Ult.
It specified in the older Fly description that it allows for basics to be used while moving, but that seems to just be added to Ho-oh's base set.
Edit: I forgot about Safeguard, but it's almost just Mewtwo's.
Sky Attack feels more like Dragapult dragon dance, especially paired with dragon breath.
hmm i main defender and support. so far i think ho oh is ok with damage not over power trevenant curse can deal more damage than fire spin and his other skill set dont deal alot of damage to. let just hope they dont change anything when they release ho oh. the only good thing the make ho oh unique is his unite. but it didnt show in the video if he can resurect multiple team mate or just one.

Ok now I feel like they're just being lazy. They just took the other mons moves and made it for ho-oh. Eldegoss' leaf storm, Trev's curse but better, dragapult's dragon dance + dragon breath combo but in one move but better, greedents bullet seed but it's fire instead of seeds, Charizard's fucking unite move buff and talon flames fly in one move. And it works like an All-rounder, it's just gonna be the next pokemon to sableye and greedent or wiggly. Not saying it's bad tho, I just think that they could've been more original. They put zacian's unite move concept on ceruledge and thought that we wouldn't notice lol, and now they're doing the same treatment to ho-oh🫠🫠

This is the first pokemon besides maybe gyarados where it’s bugging me how small it looks while playable. I know making it huge wouldn’t be “realistic” for gameplay but this looks like some kind of dwarf ho oh

My only complaint with it is that its moving animation flies too high, it's gonna be a pain to tell its 2d hitboxes with such a stark, constant displacement in the 3rd axis, hope they'll bring it down a little bit, literally. Otherwise looks cool

he's an HP/recovery tank. He's meant to that hits and recover. Everything he does seems to restore HP even if interrupted

The good thing is that the Unite seems to need Aeos energy to revive teammates, and even so, they're back at half health, so not completely broken (bringing back a half health speedster or any squishy seems like a bet)
As a defender main I'm happy, but it's still scary to have another EX in the game
