  • First I would like to say a big Thank You! to all of my viewers and subscribers for helping me reach over 2000 subscribers and over 3 million views all together! I have been wanting to upload this video for a while and now is the best time to do so! Within this video we take a look at my lighting collection storage location. Keep in mind that this is not my entire collection but probably 2/3s of the entire collection. Many of the things you see may never have had a video made but I assure you eventually they all will! In addition, college has started again for me and in-between projects, assignments and meetings I will try my best to upload videos as often as I can for you! Please Enjoy and Thanks again!
Check out my channel for links to other places I post things!
If you have any questions just ask! Also Please Comment, Rate and Subscribe! Thank You!

I think I love lighting as much as you do. but what I do is, if I find an old light fixture that someone has thrown away, that has broken missing parts, I take them apart, save the usable pieces to create new and unique lamps, much as you have done with some of yours 😀
unless, it is an already unusual or industrial type lighting, that is not something everyone has, or can get their hands on, and is just awesome as is, I will keep it in one piece, and hang onto it until I find a use for it.

I like the 1948 General Electric vertical street light housing with cone shaped lens that fitted the vertical fixture housing. Earlier vertical fixtures do accept only incandescent lamp (that the only lamp is available in those days). These kind are very common for Detroit and Southeastern Michigan (Public Lighting Commission and Detroit Edison respectively), Kansas City Missouri, St. Louis Missouri, Atlanta Georgia, Toledo Ohio, and elsewhere until 1970 or 1971, which replaced by newer horizontal fixtures which accepted more energy efficient Mercury Vapor Lamps, then later in the 1980s either Low Pressure Sodium Vapor or High Pressure Sodium Vapor Lamp to save more energy then Mercury Vapor Lamp.

Our basement lights are the same as the light at 40:47. Does your collection have any HPS street lights, exit signs, or emergency backup lights?
