I have same phone as you have and found that I had problem connecting in central Australia. I contacted a few dealers in Alice Springs and was told they won’t sell them because they had so much complaints about lack of reception in their area! I will be selling my satellite phone and upgrading to another firm.

It's particularly good if you are going on holiday to Singapore

The main problem is if you turn antenna away from sat just little bit your communication desappears.

Better fix the phone on some surface without movement and use headphones.

Just found your channel and playing catch up. Up to the episode when u returned home from Victoria last Christmas. For your rig set-up on the open road what do consider a comfortable speed to sit at? I notice you have upgraded to a 200 series did that make a change to your cruising speed? Thanks

Hi there. Thanks for watching out vids. I like to sit on about 95. Really depends on the conditions. The 200 sits nice at 100 on suitable roads. Thanks for the questions. Happy travels.

Does it have speaker phone ?
Is it better than SATSLEEVE +?
Thuraya is good in Victoria as well?

Hi mate. No speaker phone, good anywhere in Australia as long as you can see the north west horizon. May not get signal in a deep valley with heigh terrain about. Yes. Better than a sat sleeve I reckon.

Better than Sat Sleeve? And Yes and no... Why Yes. You can put Sat sleeve somewhere on hard surface not installing phone in and then go around and speak. Why NO. Sat sleeve is useless without phone.

Will this work in no network service areas like in mountains and middle of the sea?

Hi Kyle. Thanks for your question. You must be able to see the sky towards north west. Above Singapore here in Australia. Open sea, no worries. In mountain terrain you’ll need to be at a high point to see the north west horizon. Other sat phone that are more expensive work off rotating satellites and have better range. But these are more expensive. You only need to see the sky about 45 degree towards north west. Hope this helps. Cheers. Marcus.
