Then he opened the style book with various styles for 1a to 2 hair. At that point i would have said thank you but no thank you. No one is experimenting on my hair like that.
I love your bravery in letting this explore and play with your hair like this. The hair is the crown, and it's nice to show it off sometimes to those who may other wise never see it. I also love that they really tried, they were determined not to let the hair win 🤣🤣 but babies the hair won.

Love they tried and didn't turn you away but some tips that work for me comb hair when wet the blow dryer can actually straighten the hair then you can go in with the flat iron for best results and style to your liking

Asian hair the thickest hair scientifically, so their hair can take a lot more abuse compared to other races. My white girl hair luckily didn’t get too much damage but they were definitely nervous as my hair was so fine.

I saw a video a while ago with a lady getting her hair done in China she said their tongs don't get as hot. I would have demonstrated how to do my hair or brought a video to show.
In one video a stylist looked up a video, and the lady’s hair came out great. It wasn’t a true silk press, but it was very close. I saw another woman get her hair braided into box braids by an old Chinese man, and it looked phenomenal. He did a really good job.
As a licensed cosmetologist this is sad. No matter where you are in the world as a cosmetologist we should have knowledge and skill to do all types of hair smh
Not really realistic and would cost extra as in those places most of the people are never going to come in contact with all types of hair. Not to mention not all countries education level is up to par either.

Personally, I would have blown it out straight with a paddle brush or a round brush and then flat ironed it in small section from back to front, roots to ends. Not everyone is familiar with ethnic hair, but, he did his best:) thanks for sharing!

I wonder how my experience would be as someone who is mixed race. I have very fine hair that curls when it gets wet but as it dries, it’s more wavy then curly and straight at the roots. I once went to a salon, and it was a African American salon, and I asked them not to spray some sort of sheen spray on my hair and they did anyway and I thought it would mess up my hair 😂. It didn’t, but I have never went back to that salon again or any other one for that matter. 🤣

totally unrealistic! those cosmetologists have never done or even seen black kinky hair in person. Must definitely be a westerner maybe us or England to think such nonsense. They will probably not ever have to do kinky black hair in China again so that would be a waste of time to train them for it.
