i had no idea they were that close that they could talk informally, tae knowing about her illness, her doing the laugh she does around her close friends, their praises and respect for eo, how comfortable they are with each other, their vocals together, and from taehyung trying to poach her band (lmao) to their bickering up until the end was hilarious. i just enjoyed it very much. it was so wholesome.

About JK, whether the admiration JK has for IU is reciprocal or not, the promotions for 7 were extensive overseas and he only released 1 song., 2 if you count Dreamers. It is possible (we don't know) that JK chose not to do YT content for promotions even if offered an opportunity for it. This show features live band sessions and switching songs. Fans have ideas about what idols should do that don't necessarily match what the idol wants. Tae never talked about IU, so I understand the surprise and the desire for JK who always mentioned her to have the same interaction. But this is Tae's debut. IU really, really wanted to support Taehyung. Right at the beginning it was revealed that IU promised V who was undecided about appearing on Pallete, that she would make this a legendary stage for him and it would be the best thing Tae did in 2023. At the end IU asked if her bluff became true and how Taehyung felt about the performances and said that as a team they wanted to contribute to Tae's debut and promotions. She made every effort to make him comfortable. They spoke informally and apparently have been friendly for years.
