    I tested the JBL SOUND BAR 800 PRO and found it to be a disappointment, especially the rear speakers which have very low volume. Now I'm undecided between the JBL 1300 or the LG S95QR, to use with my new LG C4 77" television. The advantage I see in the JBL is the wireless rear speakers, but I'm afraid the rear speakers will be weak with those of the BAR 800 PRO

    Congratulations on the good work you are doing, what do you recommend JBL 1300 or Sonos Arc? I now have JBL 9.1, thank you!

      Thank you for the compliment!
      I haven't used the Sonos Arc (I previously has an older Sonos system and it has good sound but the software and app experience is a nightmare). But this Bar 1300 has what feels like more sound and power than my older Sonos system and also has more clarity, even in the low ends which was a surprise to me. I think you cannot go wrong with the bar 1300, especially since you get everything you need in the box and don't have to buy a separate subwoofer. If you have a 9.1 now, you'll love the 11.1.4 experience. True Dolbty Atmos is gaming changing!

    which is better samsung 990c or jbl 1300? people say jbl...powerful ,deep bass...but quality sound..or 3d immersive samsung is better

    • @Liessshy
      @Liessshy  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I personally like both. I get daily usage and testing of them as I work in a tech store, but the JBL honestly blows my mind even more. It really feels like you're placed inside the content you're watching. It's immersive and you FEEL the levels of sound elevation. The Samsung is good, don't get me wrong, but I feel like you get a tad bit extra quality with the JBL. I'm also accustomed to JBL sound these days so nothing ever compares in my opinion. Biased, yes, but I've used a lot of products across the board. Hope that helps 😁

      @@Liessshythanks for the overview, I too belive that jbl sound just feels more fuller/immersive wish they did a compact version as its always been my dream to own a wireless system with portable rear speakers to avoid wires and this offers just that with battery power or USB type c powerbank) which is insane but its too expensive & big for my gaming desk :( so I guess sonos beam gen 3 it is if it has hdmi in 4k pass thru with 120hz /120fps or optical/ usb for pc use.
      (On pc its impossible to game in dolby atmos, I have to change to optical Toslink to avoid fps drop / crazy input lag etc due to 2nd screen issue with hdmi in so atmos would only cater as "htpc" just recently learned this term as atmos only works over hdmi not optical toslink, even ps5 can't do dolby atmos gaming which was shocking to learn when new xbox can do both game and content in dolby atmos)

      @@ProjectPewgf thanks for the awesome comments! Sounds like you'd be the right person for a gaming soundbar then? Given its for gaming, out of curiosity what features would you love out of a product like that? I totally get the space factor, but I suppose that's why these are made for home theaters or living rooms. That's why I'm curious if you would use a gaming soundbar with similar features?

    • @ProjectPewgf

      @@Liessshy I already own Panasonic soundslayer dolby atmos / dts:x certified gaming soundbar but the subwoofer/ bass is a bit uncontrolled/not precised/ accurate so no good for music/accuracy as I mainly listen to trance music while gaming, the dynamics are a bit messy too for music/gaming but for watching films dolby atmos effect was insane specially with "upmix" toggle enabled within dolby access windows app bullets sounded like going past me and the punch bag intro from John wick 3 was thunderous and impactful.
      I cheaped out when it came to testing creative gaming bar & went with stage 360 but returned it as it sounded off in all modes, i suppose to go with the infamous katana v2 which has multiple channels and upfiring speakers but isnt equipped with dolby atmos just dolby surround (dolby digital/pro logic) hence i skipped it then purchased cheap £55 Creative stage SE gaming soundbar and in some ways it sounds better, natural and accurate than Panasonic soundslayer for music/gaming but lacking on detail retrieval with certain complicated songs :/ (buying creative stage 360 made me loose faith in creative sound signature but then realised 360 only marketed as atmos theatre bar and not for gaming or music but Stage se restored the faith in some ways)
      Currently waiting for Yamaha cr-20a see if it destroys Panasonic sound slayer/ Creative stage se performance if not at least one or two more of these soundbars are getting returned then ill get this jbl one.
      (I'm not a proper gamer lol I just play fighting game and listen to trance music alongside)
      And to answer the question I can use any bar for gaming if it sounds good with music as long as it has optical toslink for gaming + music needs and for hifi music / dolby atmos content hdmi in or earc 4k 120hz passthru it needs to have both to warrant the purchase.

    Great review, was doing the usual comparison with Samsung's and had my heart set on the cheaper bar 1000, but your down to earth review talked me into spending the few hundred more on the 1300. Set it up a few hours ago and blown away by how easy it was, and about the hardest thing is making sure you do the HDMI cables correctly from your devices and TV to the bar. Quick setup guide is quite unhelpful there sadly. Amazingly even if the app stalls for a bit, it works things out, and the app setup whilst a bit slow for me personally, was all so incredibly automatic in the end. The atmos soundstage is unreal, all comes down to selecting the correct movie and source, which is where I think people get lost and have "quiet" rear speakers etc, they don't always have "loud" sound like a 5.1 surround sound system, it comes down to if the source has signal for them or not. The 10" sub is PLENTY, unless you have no nearby neighbours, it rumbles the room even on L2. L5 is insane. Very happy with the purchase.

      Hello, i recently received my JBL Bar 1300 and am experiencing an issue. When playing music or videos from my phone, the sound only comes from the rear detachable speakers, while the main unit remains silent, muffled. Keep in mind that the detachable speakers are attached to the main bar. When I detach one of the rear speakers, the sound immediately switches to the main unit. Reattaching the speaker results in sound coming only from the left and right detachable speakers, with the main unit muted, muffled.
      Do you experience the same thing? Playing music via Bluetooth from the phone.
