In your reviews you should give actual figures like: "It has decent fuel economy": What are the numbers?? "It ha plenty of power": how much horse power and torque?? "Its faster than the normal V6": what's the 0-60 time?? Making comments like that make this a very uninformative review.
My wife and I purchased a new Highlander in October and we are very pleased with it. We purchased the leather package but with the 4 cylinder engine of which we felt to be most attractive on price and the power was well accommodating as we are normally alone and do not tow anything. Although we purchased the leather package and upgraded with running boards we did not purchase the sunroof of which we regret.
Honda Pilot allows me to place baby car seat in the second row's middle seat, and grand parents can comfortably sit on both sides. Also, the handling is great...the driving is very smoothly.
Just purchased a 2013 Limited 4WD. Love it. I am surprised that there seems to be a difference in the some of the controls and NAV display size even on the same trim level models. Our NAV/infotainment screen is a little smaller than this one and a few others I've seen.
Nothing wrong with light steering. It's perfect for tight maneuvers, especially in an SUV. Toyota rules because they understand what people buy and people buy them en mass.
The Toyota Highlander is a great car and like the man in the video said the hybrid is really expensive but the base,se, and limited edition on the highlaner all rangeing at about $30,000- $40,000....

Well when you've dredged thru the Euros, Germans, and you are fed up of sky high, never ending repair expenses, you tend to startshit looking at boring toyotas.
Yes, CR burns me with their commentary on the obvious or the irrelevant. A model of car should be judged by its closest physical competitor, not by some arbitrary average of all features across all vehicles. It would be like complaining about a Jeep Wrangler soft top for being drafty - no really!? Common CR, apples to apples; not apples to oranges.
Honda - plastics no wood grain options, loud interior with not enough sound proofing. Lower ground clearance. Less cargo capcity yet larger in exterior dimensions. Not sure what your talking about Prachka1 but go back and hit the books.
I don't really care about interior wise whats important to me is 1 -Safety 2-How it handle and 3- comfort which Toyota doesn't have. There transmission is okay but is so loud.
@CrashJSTest I agree with you completely the pre-face lift or 2008 Toyota Highlander was way better looking and more luxurious than this one but its true the new one isn't dull looking. In my opinion I prefer the 2008 over this because I just think it was way better LOL XD.
Toyota products are bought for RELIABILITY as well as practicality. Am I going to spend my money on a GM product (or any of the other "competition" for that matter) NO !
@TheUkrainePower depending on the trim u morron. the v6 has a 5speed, the 4cyl has a 6spedd. get ur facts straight before callin someone stupid. these guys are Engineers, they DO know what they talking about, unlike other car reviewers
@arehman It's nice looking, yes. But feeling, not so much. And if you look closer, things like gaps between parts that are huge (look at the glovebox in the video) and some shiny plastic rears their ugly heads.
@thugangel662 It is all about the quality of the materials there using... Chrysler has cut a lot of corners for a long time, and believe it or not, they lost A LOT of business because of it, if you want a perfect example of great quality and craftsmanship, look at a ford flex or ford fusion, and just feel the surface.. plus, for 47k i would expect a lot more!
The most honest review. Saying small flaws. Just bought 2011 limited. Very great Suv. Even for today looks amazing.
Awesome! I have a 2012 SE I like it!

For some reason, I just like this guy 's way of talking.

Any oil burning on the 4cyl Highlanders?

Got one and I love it. Thanks Consumer Report :)

Straight into the feels. I buy only Toyota and Lexus now
Yes. I'd like to think it's practical, efficient and comfortable. Except for the ipod connectivity. Please see the video response. Thanks.
If you need a vehicle to accomodate 7 adults then do not look at suvs... look at mini vans that are designed for that purpose.
this is the hybrid version
this is the HYBRID!!

I wasnt that impressed when I rode in it a while ago, tho nothing impresses me in this class except the CX-9. Thats best in class
Great review!
plastic is plastic!@! i hate how they point out that they are "hard to the touch" are you going to sleep on it or something?!???
I like his funny facial expression after he finishes talking
I love my Highlander :)
Why does it matter if the plastic is hard or soft!!?
I personally like the overly light steering
Not just you, ever since the Supra left Toyota hasn't seemed to be able to design anything that looks exciting.
Why was the thumbnail in like 144p 😂
SUV the new name for Station Wagon!
Love um
@tehepicmashimallow ugly? why did Toyota have a whole commercial about the Highlander being stylish then?
Honda - plastics no wood grain options, loud interior with not enough sound proofing. Lower ground clearance. Less cargo capcity yet larger in exterior dimensions. Not sure what your talking about Prachka1 but go back and hit the books.
+ManyRadomThings why. BECAUSE there better.
STAR AXE Honda try to catch up to Toyota, fails and changse all there cars to CVT's to compete against Nissan and still fails. Your point?
I don't really care about interior wise whats important to me is 1 -Safety 2-How it handle and 3- comfort which Toyota doesn't have. There transmission is okay but is so loud.
The hybrid version is a croc. Don't do it. The mileage soon dwindles down to at or worst than the regular well maintained all gas version,
Do you have proof of that? And why would it get worse over time if the hybrid engine is doing most of the stop and go work?
great SUV but too expensive, just for the mpg?? no way
Wonder what happened to Tom.
Toyota is AMAZING!!!

used to be mid 20s, now is mid 30s for the decent model, tops out around 42k, that's RX350 level
So much better than the ford expoler
For this money you can buy anything used - from M class MB to BMW X5 to Audi Q7 and many other LUXURY SUV's....missed again, Toyota...
Time to start looking at used 4Runners.
minivans ? nissan 3500 nv passanger. Can be as cool as you want to be
toyota and sporty in the same sentence is hard to do
@JakeandJulia1 well it's really noisy. i would get the previous generation version, that one was really impressive.
imo, styling is very bland, if it didnt have the badge i wouldnt know what car make it is
Why is it so expensive? even the base model starts at $32K
@thugangel662 Hard plastic isn't very nice, and it seems to break faster than soft plastics.

1:38 I am just going to leave it here...
i like the person's face expressions
$47000?! What?!
9 years later it runs like the day you took it home...
It looks like one of those old izuki suv
The refresh looks dull and not attracting.
versatility!

Go buy a lexus then.
front kinda looks like a scion
this dude looks like J.F. Musial
@thugangel662 it is all about the quality of the vehicle, ford wouldn't do that for sure!
the price is way too high
its kinda cool
this is the smallest mid size SUV in the class

I'm small
Suv r meant to drive for fun.
paid review!
My Truck :)
meh
Why is it so ugly? >:(
cont on toyota to make boring vehicles
DONT BUY TOYOTA !
the interior falls apart and is so cheaply made a Hyundai accent from the 80's puts this to shame...
is it only me, or is this car very ugly?
It's you
