Exactly fifteen years later, he escaped and slaughtered over a dozen people. They told everyone he was dead, but they never caught him, never found a body. @@thetribalist6923 From Halloween Nightdance. There's a few Halloween comics that came out in the 2000's that tried to flesh out the H20 timeline. To it's credit, it's not that bad. They touch on a few things that the timeline doesn't:
      - Michael's childhood before 1963
      - Michael and Loomis at Smith's Grove (Only a little bit.)
      - The aftermath of 1978 (Laurie learning more about her birth family, Michael attacks Laurie while dressed as a clown, the death of Paramedic Jimmy, and faking her death.)
      - Michael goes on a 20-year killing spree across the mid-west while playing cat and mouse with Dr. Loomis in the process.
      - Events between H20 and Resurrection (Michael stalks a woman named Lisa because of her similar appearance to Judith and ends kidnapping her, stripping her naked, and burying her alive in a makeshift grave marked "Judith Myers." Also pays Lindsey Wallace a vist by leaving a Jack-O-Lantern embedded with knives on her doorstep, basically warning her that he'll come for her soon. She committed herself to Smith's Grove.)
      - After Resurrection, he breaks into Smith's Grove and kidnaps Lindsey. She's found later with knives embedded in her and strung up like a scarecrow. Michael's whereabouts are unknown after this.
This is what I remember by memory and I'm sure that I missed a few things.

I can understand her overbearingness with her son because of her fear, but also his need and right not to take on her fears for his own life. Laurie being mentally haunted by Michael on the anniversary of the day her life changed irrevocably only for him to manifest for real was great and her making the decision to face him and ultimately her fear instead of running made me root for her even more.

Jamie Lee Curtis considers the film a thank you note to her fans. Curtis: "Without that early career, I truly don't think I would have been an actor."
Even after 20 years, Jamie Lee Curtis said that seeing Michael Myers on set still scared her.
LL Cool J had always been a fan of the Halloween movies. His mother took him to see the original when he was just nine years old.
When Jamie Lee Curtis' character says, "go down the street to the Beckers..." this was supposed to refer to the line from Halloween (1978), "go down the street to the McKenzie's house..." The name was changed to Becker, which was the last name of Drew Barrymore's character in Scream (1996).
The shortest "Halloween" movie in the series, with a run time of 86 minutes.
Michelle Williams signed on without ever having seen any of the Halloween movies.
Director Steve Miner also directed two films in another popular horror series: Friday the 13th Part 2 (1981) and Friday the 13th Part III (1982).
    Body Count: 7 (two off-screen)
Jamie Lee Curtis refers to the film as "Field of Screams". "If you build it, they will come."
Josh Hartnett's first acting project and film debut.
Ronny calls Laurie "psycho" as she drives past him when she comes in through the gate. Jamie Lee Curtis' mother Janet Leigh, who appears as Norma in this film, starred in Psycho (1960).
During the scene where Norma is leaving, she stands in front of the car from Psycho (1960). The music playing in the background at this part is also from Psycho. Janet Leigh, who plays Norma, played Marion in Psycho. The license plate on the car is also the same as the second car Marion buys in Psycho, NFB 418, which are Norman Bates' initials and lastly, Norma is the first name of Norman Bates' Mother from Psycho.
Halloween: H20" is the seventh film in the series. H2O is the chemical symbol for water which has a pH balance of 7.0
Both Nancy Stephens and Joseph Gorden Levitt are dead before their names appear in the opening credits.

    Great review, Doc!
H20 hits a nostalgic note with me, but it is easy to see that it hasn't aged too gracefully. The California private school setting really made it feel detached from the rest of the series. It just doesn't give off that seasonal vibe which hurts it looking back now. Also, Resurrection totally diminished the impact of the ending.

    • @mattstorm6568
      @mattstorm6568 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

The ending was cheesy anyhow, it was the kind of thing you'd see in an 80's action b-movie. The real Michael wouldn't have been writhing around trying to get lose or pleading for a hug, he'd have just stood there and stared, essentially saying "bring it" like in Halloween 4 when the truck came at him.
Michael doesn't run away, he doesn't get scared or show pain or beg, this was embarrassing.

Resurrection stupidly revealed that Michael had been living under his house for 20 years after being burned at the end of Halloween II and spent his days eating rats until he went after Laurie in this.

For the most part i like this movie, but it does have its flaws, Especially Chris Durand's performance as Michael and the mask(s)...

To pad the body count, they could've kept a few more students in campus. Even if they were unrelated to the John and Laurie characters.

@@tgriffin3059 I wouldn't say my point was that the low body count was in and of itself what made it great - even so, how would more blood guts bodies have improved it?
Paint me a scene you would've added and/or how you would've made the existing kills better.

@Eric. I still haven’t seen Season Of The Witch, Halloween 6: Curse Of Micheal Myers, or Halloween 2 (2009) yet. But my ranking so far would go like this
      Halloween
      Halloween 2
      H20
      Halloween 4
      Halloween 5
      Halloween 2007
      Halloween 2018
      Resurrection

@@nu-metalfan2654 If you haven't watched H6 til now, then try to watch the Producer's Cut. The cut is, what H6 was supposed to be, before the prescreen audience, who weren't even Halloween fans, watched the movie and decided they want more gore and less Loomis since they found him boring (wtf? Loomis and boring?).
It also has the better soundtrack and pacing, more consistency and less plotholes.
      A decent movie.
The T-Cut on the other hand is worse than Resurrection and not even worth a watch. It is so hard to watch through a movie, if it has tons of flashes, like a 90's music video and no coherrent plot whatsoever.
