You're right. I discovered that a bit after I posted the video. Despite its looks, I think this radio can be recovered. I haven't figured out how to adjust the clock yet, I wasn't able to push the knob in and pulling it out just causes the knob to pop off. Turning the knob seems to just turn something off and on, perhaps the power on timer?
@@JamesADoty If that is the standard telechron movement you do pull the setting control in the back to set. Because the shaft goes out through the back of the case it is long and so is often missing (at least with HQ-180s).
@@merashallan Awesome, thank you for the post. Mine's broken off pretty close to the clock. I'll see if I can get pliers on it to see if I can pull it out to set it. I'll have to see if I can find a parts machine to get that part from. I'm getting ready to work on the Hallicrafters SX-24 then the Hammarlund.
I think you are looking at the stators in the tuning cap. Look on the other side of the cap assembly for movement
