I'm a child of the early 80s, meaning I first saw TOTO's first videos in 1978-1979 when I was 8-years old, and the circle was completed in 1982 when I bought my first LP, TOTO IV. Only Jeff Porcaro is missing. As a true TOTO fan I think this was the concert of my rocker lifetime with the almost full original lineup...cross fingers it will repeat again.
David said in an interview at that time that he was happy to be able to play for Toto again, and simultaneously so sad to think that Mike would still be standing there if he hadn't got sick. Mike respected David, and I'm sure he was really happy that David played the bass lines he was playing.
Mmmm I love Joseph but no one beats Bobby Kimball,back in the day before all the drugs he had a sublime voice.Ive seen Toto with both singers and yes Joseph is on top of his game and I know Bobby sounds very average now.He has some health issues, and I saw Phil Collins 2years ago and he's changed in just 5 years, there health effects there voices

Hi, what is strange is this bass player, he's doing the most natural bass playing for these songs not for playing bass solos, that's the difference and it sounds perfectly well, I just love his playing!

Hungate bass is killer!!! Shannon Forrest is the best! So "in" the vibe. He got the groove!!! But... what happened with the guitar sound on 6:32????? ;)
+Henning Bakken For this band I like Shannon better than Simon, for me Simon played most things a bit too laid back - Jeff was laid back also but not as much and Simon sometimes seemed to lack the absolute precision, passion and fiery temperament of Jeff. He was very good however, but this guy seems to have a bit more of a raw edge and energy coming from within, although perhaps lacking some of the finesse of Jeff, for ToTo me thinks he is a bit better. Now don't get me started on Keith Carlock! What was he thinking?

But I'm dissapointed at the drummer in this video... Quite good, he can have that, but is he in the band or just temporarily member? I think I'd done the job better, actually. I am "raised" and taught by the best: JEFF PORCARO. The best drum school you can imagine. Nowadays it's so much easier, you have all those videos, the whole YT is full of them. Choose 2 or 3, sit down behind your drums and play along! Quicker than you can imagine, you're actually GHOSTING on the snare!! Seen him live in GLOBEN, SWEDEN once in 1991, Past To Present Tour.
