ACER V5 131 take apart, disassembly, how-to video (nothing left) HD

  • Hi!
No music. No talking. Just work.
If you are taking your ACER V5-131 laptop apart be careful and wear an anti-static wrist band or use other anti-static device. If you need to change a LCD usually you don't have to take screen out of a laptop. You can leave it on a laptop and watch the last part of the video where I am taking LCD apart. If you need to change a keyboard, you will need to take a whole laptop apart.
If you need to put a laptop back to work be aware of screws. They are different and you better remember or mark them somehow to insure that you will put them back in to a right place.
Some laptops I take apart first time, so don't be serious on my time and performance.
If something got broken - ooops, it's your fault.
Believe me, some parts in your laptop are already broken, you just don't see that.
    Have fun and good luck!!

P.S. There is no reassemble video - that's why I have created a special channel for Backwards Playback Support for
each video that is missing reassemble. It is not the best possible solution obviously but better than nothing.
    Find a link at the end of each video. #recycling #recycle #upcycling #zerowaste #sustainability #reuse #environment

Excellent video, I would have liked to know what you were removing.
I recognized some of the basic components, the hard drive, memory sims and the wifi module. But we could have learned so much more if you would have told us what part you were removing and what to look out for or special instructions.
Thank you for posting the video.

Ok, i've managed to take my V5 apart without broking it: i was having the problem that, when unused for a period of time(pc battery disconnected) the unit was losing date and BIOS settings, symptom of a dead CMOS battery, as far as i know.
CMOS battery is at minute 8:34 and it is that "silver circle" at the lower left of the motherboard, just at the upper-right corner of the "SD reader" slot(silver square, half centimeter right from the usb port).
Problem is, that little battery is *soldered to the mobo*, so it is hard to replace(but not impossible).
Solution: in my case, using (and charging) the notebook more often seem to have solved.
Full charges have recharged the cmos battery that was empty, i guess.

Description is wrong, you DO need to remove all bottom screws to remove the keyboard. Every single one, including the ones on the fan and WLAN adapter.
