Seeing the other Namco references corrupted makes me think that in this scenario, Devil/Ghost/Run got into Bandai Namco's systems and corrupted every single game franchise it finds on the computer systems.
It's not that far off from my vision for the mod. The way I saw it was Ghost is corrupting the Smash Bros version of Pac-Man, with all of Pac-Man's assets being corrupted in some way
Jesus Christ mate I love it, I mean my only issue might be the bonus fruit attack, being how clean it is in comparison to the other tricks it has, but the original didn't have a substitute so I can't blame you for that
Yeah, I'd have to create entirely new versions of the bonus fruit using the art style from the game. The issue is I'm not pixel artist to that'd be tricky. Also modding bonus fruit is weird since all of Pac-Man's skins would be forced to use them so I refrained from chnaging them.
I can clearly see that there was so much care put into this, the buzzing and glitching sound effects are here, and you stayed true to the Source material. Even the distorted Pacman jingle is here. 4:53 I was not expecting that you caught me off guard. (It's the smaller details that matter, This was so good I'm subscribing. Awesome stuff, the one thing I would change is having Screamy's sprite where he's charging with his eyes and mouth lit up for when the stronger hitbox of side smash is active.
Nicely done mod! Though I think the actual name is supposed to be “Devil”? I could be mistaken.. but still, the distorted effects and the tattered gloves are really cool touches. Edit: Nevermind, double checked and it do be “Ghost” Edit 2: Double checked again and it doesn’t exactly have a name, but its probably either Ghost or Devil
Fun fact: The orginal file I made for the early assest was called Devil because I thought the same thing... I played the game and stage 6 reads "ghost" I believe and a breakdown of the game called him that too. Either works though 🤷
@@Mr.Sneaky The “Stage” text flickers to ghost on all of the levels, the stage number number flickers to the added ghosts name aside from 5 and 6. 5 flickers to “??????????” And 6 flickers to “RUN” even before Devil/Ghost begins to speed up. But like you said, either one works

Hey I know you made it when one slot effects weren't a thing. But now they are. So do you have any plans to update this mod to a version where it can work on all slots?
This would make a great skin but it lacks somethings like an "steve-like" final smash where the character gets thrown into the maze and jumpscared by one of the 4 ghosts or even some exe-esque one where the character gets chased by the Pacman like in the original
Well, this is just a reskin. Meaning it just changes the simple things like the sounds or effects. Besides, implementing whole new movesets in Smash Ultimate specifically is pretty hard.
And they should add more characters they did add Marx but it needs more characters and make a mod about tmk it’s like a horror Kirby thing but it has lore in the short videos
