This was a great set of commercials from KTTV Los Angeles. Seeing those Thrifty's commercials really takes me back to when it was a drug store that served their famous ice cream. That same ice cream can be found at Rite Aid today.
I agree with your assessment of the Pepsi/kid/bunny ad. The little boy and the rabbit were very cute. The vibe reminds me a bit of the “Velveteen Rabbit” or “The Toy.”
One thing Pepsi has over Coca Cola is celebrity endorsements. Pepsi was crushing it in the 80s and 90s, my favorite was the Cindy Crawford ad I believe was a super bowl commercial but may be wrong. I know they recently updated their logo and it's way better than the old one they had before but I wish they would've gone back to that 90s design 😢
Hickory Farms- Interesting idea for the company to have a conveyor belt that goes around the world in this commercial. I bet it would be very useful in real life. 15. Diet Pepsi- Michael J. Fox looks so much like a grown up version of Marty McFly (from the Back To The Future movies) that, I almost expected him to use a hover board to retrieve the Diet Pepsi for his lady friend.
I love the 80s so much; however, I am unsure if I would want to live in a world without cherry NyQuil (notice they said new!). The green stuff looks (and probably tastes) vile.
The Swatch commercial is the 80s in a nutshell in 30 seconds and I’m all for it.
I want to meet the ad executive at Benylin who said, “You know, you don’t see many mimes on TV…”
Mimes are creepy. That commercial was nightmare fuel.
That last Pepsi commercial with Jackson…I guess Michael needed better security if a kid could just walk in there…

Love the Michael J Fox Pepsi commercials
That Grilled Shrimp Fajita looked delicious. Especially for $3.99 ($11.41 in 2023 dollars).

Faberge Brut…Because nothing says holiday cheer in advertising like infidelity…
I love the Bob Ho Ho Hope-athon! The Lemon Drop Kid & the 7 Little Foys are on YT ⭐️
I wanted to see more of Mullet's Outpost ads!!!! Dang LOL
Happy holidays
Naugles?! What a name. Tacos at Naugles. Ok.
3:54 - Changing Webby away from sickening cuteness was the smartest thing the DuckTales reboot did.
I went and saw that snow white on ice and I went to Knotts and hurt my hands on a sledding area they had. I was 6.
Kimberlin Brown in White Shoulders ad.
That is a top tier cough medicine commercial wow.
I was a month old at that time.

In the shoe commercial, is that Johnny Haymer, AKA Sgt. azalea from MASH?
Nancy Travis in the Canada Dry Commercial.
Anyone else think "The Lemon Drop Kid" sounds like a bad Japanese wrestling gimmick?
