Hi Daria! Just wanted to say your pronunciation of the English word "search" was a bit too close to sounding like "surge". It should sound just like the word "church" but starting with an "S"... Hope that helps xx

Hello, Daria! I have a question: If подруга is a female friend but it can also be used as girlfriend. How a guy would say something like "She's not my girlfriend, she is just a friend" in russian?

Большое спасибо! Do people in Russia often openly display that they are looking for a partner? In America, I don't think you would ever hear this in conversation, accept maybe when a friend is confiding in you. Otherwise, it would seem like giving a little too personal information, or that you have a superficial view of relationships. Is this completely different in Russian culture?
