Eren Yeager (エレン・イェーガー Eren Yēgā?) was a former member of the Survey Corps. He was the main protagonist of Attack on Titan. He lived in Shiganshina District with his parents until the fall of Wall Maria, where he impotently witnessed his mother being eaten by a Titan.[32] This event would lead to Eren's intense hatred towards the Titans as he swore to wipe all of them off the face of the Earth.[33]
Soon afterward, his father, Grisha Yeager, found him and gave him the key to his basement, instructing Eren to find it at all costs and retake Wall Maria.[34] He then injected Eren with a Titan serum.[34]
In the year 847, Eren, Mikasa Ackerman, and Armin Arlert joined the 104th Training Corps. The three graduated with Eren ranking 5th best,[35] and they joined the Survey Corps following the battle of Trost District.[36]
After finding the basement and unlocking his father's memories, Eren learned about the truth of what the Titans are, as well as the history of Eldia and Marley. Eren then vowed to free his home from their true enemy: the rest of humanity that lives across the ocean.[37]
Eren possessed the power of three Titans. From his father, Eren inherited the Attack and Founding Titans.[38] After eating Lara Tybur during the Raid on Liberio, he gained the War Hammer Titan as well.[8]

I feel like this reflects more EREN post time-skip. On "Shoulders to stand on" you could feel the strong will and hope of a young EREN but here he seems really more introspective and a man who grew up and saw how rotten the world is. Truly one of the bests songs by rustage. And the chorus is so good

I feel like there are Rustage songs when he just wants to remind everyone that he can pull of ridiculous rhyme schemes. What's brutal is that the structures filling out those schemes have evolved so much. He pulls off lines where he stops on the ending rhyme just as well as he makes the rhymes fit continuous flowing texts. But honestly, is it just to flex that he can rhyme anything in any styles, anywhere? Not complaining, I'm actually mind blown. I'd love to see the lyrics colour coded for this one, should be akin to a genius toddler's colouring book that's all over the place and at the same time makes perfect sense. Amazing stuff.

I mean, dude, it's very fking close to the reality and the current situation. This song exceeds anime rap, tbh. Have never said these words before, but dude, this really hits differently. Rustage, you're the man.
One thing I love about rustage's songs nowadays is that they're great even if you have no context of what the song is about. Even if you've never heard of AOT you could interpret this song in a different way and still enjoy it
I love the more introspective or inside-thought looking aspect that you tackle in this song. As I said in my reaction, McGwire really helped set the tone and atmosphere of the song and absolutely murdered the end of the song with how epic and personal his singing felt with the beat. And of course, Rustage did Rustage things and went off with the rhyme schemes and a couple flows that clicked so well.
Great lyrics too, and a unique take on an Eren rap compared to the vast majority that I have heard so far.
A lot of people are doing raps on Eren but I got to say I love how Rustage and McGwire put their own spin on it!

This is probably Rustage's best song he released in 2022 overall with the emotional and hard hitting narrative style that can intertwine and connect with reality and how a person actually feels in society and the writing is just masterpiece level.

Every time I think you've reached some sort of ceiling, you break straight through it and it's like you're putting in minimal effort to do it. I'm not gonna lie i was blown out the water with this track. From the way that the beat ebbs and flows with the high points of the track, to the insane rhyme schemes and bars. I think the most ironic thing about AoT is that the Attack Titan fights for freedom, but Eren Jaeger is one of the LEAST free characters throughout the entire series.

@@pixlv6384 Not always, people in privileged classes do sometimes ally themselves with the oppressed (Sympathetic Germans who housed displaced Jews during the Holocaust or abolitionists who aided fleeing slaves from the American South). Even in AoT, Yelena was deeply ashamed of the actions of Marley, her home, so she chose to help Zeke (though she's a rather unhinged example).
What I meant is that Eren is basically never free at all over the course of the story. He starts out as a kid who has to obey his parents, then a soldier who has to obey orders. When he's found out, he becomes a warmachine on behalf of Survey Corps on threat of death. And after kissing Krista's hand and seeing the future, he knew that there was no avoiding what was going to happen.
Everything Eren does and is going to do was already set in motion (maybe by Ymir herself to eventually free herself from Fritz control). The second he kissed Krista's hand, he didn't even have the illusion of free will anymore. He was the LEAST free character in this whole show, start to finish.
I like that all of the normal shonen jump people have good goals like becoming hokage pr being the strongest and fighting strong people and denji is like "i wanna fuck makima and erens like I killed 5.2m people.
I know each rap Rustage makes will be fire, but this is just next level! The rhymes, and transitions, and the singing, hats of to you good sir. Keep up the great work.
