just a note: intersexuality is a medical condition, usually chromosomal or hormonal, whereby one's primary and/or secondary sex characteristics take on nonstandard configurations. historically this condition was known as "hermaphroditism" after the greek god Hermaphroditus who had both a penis and breasts (a common enough combination for intersex people). the rate of intersex people who are transgender is the same as for dyadic (the word for non-intersex) people. intersexuality is not related to being transgender. intersexuality is also not a "lifestyle". you may have had it confused with "polyamory" (a lifestyle involving romantic relationships which are non-monogamous). when she said "i will not cut off my sex organs" she was likely referring to a specific marginalization faced by intersex people, whereby their doctors will insist their perfectly-functioning genitals or reproductive organs are "wrong" and should be removed. this is very common. it is, in fact, so common that such sterilizing cosmetic surgeries are often performed on infants, many times without even informing the parents. the doctor will simply cut out functioning, if malformed, tissue and then call the child a "girl" because they don't have visible external genitalia. again, this has nothing at all to do with transgender people or their struggle for rights, it is something that affects only people with intersex conditions. i am a medical doctor with an intersex condition who is, incidentally, also transgender, and it makes me keenly aware of these differences.
When I was 11, my step father took me to the er room of Waukesha memorial hospital and I had a chromosome test. The doctor told me on my second visit (to receive the results) that I needed to decide then and there if I wanted to be "a man" or "a woman" when I grow up, which would decide which drugs they would put me on. I liked being myself, and said i disagreed with parts of both men and women... but that wasn't an option in 1986.
@@RND_ADV_X So, what happened? Did they force you decide and forced drugs and surgery on you? Sounds like you have a mega interesting story to share. Hope you're doing well
Still, at least half her gender conversation is a symptom of her mental health. She keeps talking about herself as a man being pressured by society to be subservient to women and needing to get a wife- which we know isn't a thing that actually happens. Then she pivots to saying that black people are attacking her for being female and smart. So she is in this confused state where she feels that both men and women are the victim of society's sexism, while she flip flops between which one society thinks she is. I'm willing to bet she isn't actually intersex but that her schizophrenia leads her to believe she is.
The Katalyka background was so sad. People that don’t live in the U.S may not know, but our mental healthcare is completely fucked. I feel terrible for her. If you do another board game one look up Mythic Games and you can fill 30 mins. Another one which kinda delivered but with so much controversy was Unbroken and the notorious golden bell studios which ended up on shark tank. Heroes of the Pacific by devil pig games actually ran off with the money and clearly knew they were broke before running the kickstarter
I was wondering if they would be brought up in this video. Mythic games was such a pyramid scheme. Do I think they fully intended to supply their product? Sure... but they had too much over head and too many games at once. Its painfully obvious that they needed to use the money from 1 kickstarter to support previous kickstarters. And eventually, like all pyramid schemes, the bottom fell out
The upstart one sounds like a case where everybody involved was trying to create a legitimate product, but everything that could go wrong did because everybody made increasingly idiotic decisions or simply procrastinated on making intelligent ones.
the Katlyka person also went on a huge diatribe about black vs white people in the last kickstarter update. referring to them as pink (white people) and green (black people)

11:00 Electronic chess boards with pieces have been around since at least the early 1980s. Of course this still requires the player to physically move the AI's pieces to the spot indicated by lights. If someone did come up with a chess board so advanced the AI could physically move its own pieces it wouldn't be on some BS online funding scam, it would already be produced by a major game company like Parker Brothers and it would be in stores!
I backed a video game called Unsing in 2014. Still have yet to get the completed version. It went through different hands as well. It was a MESS to watch the updates.
I would also like to add the entire debacle from Mythic Games. Although I eventuallg receiced onw of the games (and its actually good), it had to be the most mismanaged series of kickstarters ive ever seen.
In my experience, anyone who puts Mensa on their CV or brings it up as a qualification is best avoided. It’s a group that gets together to brag about how smart they are and nearly every Mensa member I’ve met who’s made their membership a core part of their identity has been insufferable at best.
He's been sick for the better part of a year and it's sapped him of energy, both physically and creatively. He also lost a crap ton of *weight over the past few years, but his last update says he's still working on stuff in the background.
"Master the stretch goals"? The stretch goals of the big players like Awaken Realms, CMoN etc. are already budgeted for. They start their funding goals way lower than the actual viable level as they're confident in the backer level they'll get. It's all marketing and it clearly seems to work... Unfortunately.
The only KS scams i got caught in was the Evil Dead 2 and Terminator games by Space Goats but i ironically got kicked out of the campaigns (refunded without having asked for it) for being too critical, so got most of my money back (the KS portion, not the PM portion) right before the campaigns crumpled. Funny because all the fan boys kept attacking me for it in the comments, but in the end i was right and they were left holding the bag, lol.
"Just play Star Realms" White/Wise Wizards are not exactly a paragon of virtue when it comes to crowdfunding. To be fair, they do deliver...eventually.
Oh damn, it feels like it's been forever since I've heard that intro. Im in the U.S so after hearing the nonstop screeching cries about our election results, this video is just the best thing I've ever heard
The Jumanji rip off was clearly banking on the fact that people would continue to be too stupid to realize that the film of the same title was NOT based on an actual game. It was based on the illustrated children's book which was about a boardgame! Such a game in real life would of course be boring as sin.
I don't doubt this Molly person was harrased but it seems that she's blaming "racist" and black people for her shortcomings, rather than taking responsibility and learning from criticism. This may make me seem cold-hearted, and yes, I am cold-hearted. I believe Molly is not stable enough to be an entrepreneur. To succeed as an entrepreneur, one must learn to take criticism, and Molly doesn't appear to have that ability because she tends to be too emotional. Before any of you try to use the mental condition card, one; stop it and you're no help and second; there are people with mental conditions who are successful entrepreneurs.
giving common sense advice doesn't automatically mean you're 'cold hearted' just that you have common sense. being able to handle constructive criticism requires emotional maturity and not everyone has that.
@@RND_ADV_X if that's just as a side gig/hobby that's amazing, however dude said entrepreneur. 25k in two years is 5k less than full time minimum wage. Is saying I made less money than I would of doing literally any full time job really evidence you're a great entrepreneur? And that's being generous as it doesn't consider the cost of the products you made, as I'm guessing whatever you were selling wasn't being grown on trees in your backyard or magically appearing in your room. So how much of said 25k was spent on the resources and equipment needed to create said product? Selling X amount of product doesn't mean you made X amount in profit.
The whole hearing voices from the sun does sound like genuine delusion. You can tell if you know what to look for; paranoia, stalking delusions, spiritual or higher power delusions, and especially if it becomes almost incoherent at times.
I don't think it's factually correct to call my campaign a scam. It was successfully funded, and i had already posted the finished game as a print and play version on the internet back in 2013. I did try to fulfill the backers, but too many problems came up, and i had to partly fail. No scam intended by me. I even lost more money than any of my backers attempting to fulfill my duty to them. I'm sorry it didn't work out and i feel bad about it. I already noted previously that the backers seemed to mostly be kind about my failure. It was people who didn't even buy any thing from me who monkey piled on me.
They didn't call your campaign a scam: The video is about scams & crazy campaigns, which I think your kickstarter qualifies for the latter on multiple levels. I hope you're actively seeking and receiving the help you need, and that you no longer hold such hatred for people based on immutable characteristics like the colour of their skin - just as I hope you're no longer receiving hate for the immutable characteristics you yourself have.

I would also like to add the entire debacle from Mythic Games. Although I eventuallg receiced onw of the games (and its actually good), it had to be the most mismanaged series of kickstarters ive ever seen.
I was a member of Mensa for a while. I can confirm that it contains a lot of very silly people.
Like yourself? 😂
In my experience, anyone who puts Mensa on their CV or brings it up as a qualification is best avoided. It’s a group that gets together to brag about how smart they are and nearly every Mensa member I’ve met who’s made their membership a core part of their identity has been insufferable at best.
Especially when there's Triple 9 and the Prometheus society to claim
Speaking of Larry, whatever happened him?
He's been sick for the better part of a year and it's sapped him of energy, both physically and creatively. He also lost a crap ton of *weight over the past few years, but his last update says he's still working on stuff in the background.
@ that is really sad to hear. I’ve always loved his cheeky, dry humor. Here’s hoping to a good recovery for the mate.
He pops up on vegan Facebook posts a lot to let vegans know how much he loves meat. So, you know, at least he's not wasting his time.
@@danielsavage7123 oh, so basically just a douchebag
Mythic Games' Darkest Dungeon Board Game was/is a traumatic experience
Shame, I was looking forward to that one too and forgot to make a pledge. Guess I dodged a bullet huh?
Monsterpocalypse should have been at the top of this list! actually most of the projcets Mythic Games
I can't find a link to the Molly comvo
Has Super Dungeon Explore Legends ever been covered on your videos?
yoooo
any update on the Intellivision Amico?
(loved the video, btw)
"Just play Star Realms" White/Wise Wizards are not exactly a paragon of virtue when it comes to crowdfunding. To be fair, they do deliver...eventually.
You should probably mention the racism aspect to Catalyka
In the jungle you must wait, getting scammed is just your fate.
you could do a whole episode about blacklist games
Oh damn, it feels like it's been forever since I've heard that intro. Im in the U.S so after hearing the nonstop screeching cries about our election results, this video is just the best thing I've ever heard
Where's the link to the conversation with the Katalika person? Or is this a reupload?
Katalyka sounds like the TempleOS of board games
I funded a project on Kickstarter last month. First time doing it...and after seeing all your videos, I am - indeed worried 🤣
Saw you featured in the SuperSega scam vid by RGT 85. How’s the progress there?
Keeping an eye on the whole thing mate step by step until it either releases or I release THE SUPERSEGA SCANDAL
The Jumanji rip off was clearly banking on the fact that people would continue to be too stupid to realize that the film of the same title was NOT based on an actual game. It was based on the illustrated children's book which was about a boardgame! Such a game in real life would of course be boring as sin.
But, what does this mean for Upfront?
Star realms is awesome star colony looks like a liability
Man I feel bad for that last lady.
Great video! Bonus like for the Techmoan cameo!
Dont forget jurassic world the board game they just left with the money
Wow that conversation
Funny, when I made Etsy and Ebay accounts under a secret name, I had no problem selling over $25,000 worth of a product I made in 2015 & 2016.
What would people do without you, another successful day for Captain obvious!
giving common sense advice doesn't automatically mean you're 'cold hearted' just that you have common sense. being able to handle constructive criticism requires emotional maturity and not everyone has that.
The promised link is NEVER in the description. It drives me nuts.
Ah so thaT IS WHY I bought your IP from Surf Shark
ahh good old Kickstarter 😂
The whole hearing voices from the sun does sound like genuine delusion. You can tell if you know what to look for; paranoia, stalking delusions, spiritual or higher power delusions, and especially if it becomes almost incoherent at times.
Didn't you already make a whole video about the crazy lady who thought she was talking to the Sun? Or was that Guru Larry?
I wish compilations were labeled as such.
Why does it say “2d ago?” Isn’t this an extremely old kickscammer video?
It's old sections edited into a new video.
So wheres the full convo with molly
Am I losing it or have I seen this video before? Also, would you be able to do a video on the campaign for New Osaka?
You are aware that like, half of his videos are re-edits of other combined episodes, right?
here is one more to look into expic seven arise board game >.
Wait, Fallen London was correct? The Sun is a petty asshole?
Best video you've done in a while
Plenty more to come mate
I don't think it's factually correct to call my campaign a scam. It was successfully funded, and i had already posted the finished game as a print and play version on the internet back in 2013. I did try to fulfill the backers, but too many problems came up, and i had to partly fail. No scam intended by me. I even lost more money than any of my backers attempting to fulfill my duty to them. I'm sorry it didn't work out and i feel bad about it. I already noted previously that the backers seemed to mostly be kind about my failure. It was people who didn't even buy any thing from me who monkey piled on me.
oh snap are you the katalyka person?
So you're just a racist not a scammer
They didn't call your campaign a scam: The video is about scams & crazy campaigns, which I think your kickstarter qualifies for the latter on multiple levels.
I hope you're actively seeking and receiving the help you need, and that you no longer hold such hatred for people based on immutable characteristics like the colour of their skin - just as I hope you're no longer receiving hate for the immutable characteristics you yourself have.
HELLO THIS IS THE SUN.
There you go calling them monkeys again, gotta stop this racism 😂
YES YOU'RE BACK ❤❤❤
This Person Does Not Exist is actually really useful for RolePlay websites if you want just a headshot for a character that isn't stylized. (Granted, I run a local Stable Diffusion installation and use stylized art for my characters, usually fantasy ones.)
SUN LADY MENTION!!!
Muh dawggg! Slopes ! LEGEND!
Hoping robotech RPG Tactics makes an appearance
No kidding! This was the worst!
Have you covered Regium Chess before? I swear I remember that breakdown of how it's a stop-motion video before, and I can't think of many other places I would have seen a video about Regium Chess. I watched Tech Moan's video review of that new chess board, but I don't recall him doing a breakdown of Regium Chess' video.
I'm pretty sure this video is a remix of old videos
Hike! I love that game.
I was a backer for Ghost Star that never delivered. I also am still "waiting" on Chai Tea for 2. We'll see...
I loved DJ Slope but apparently he removed my comment warning others of board game scams.
bye.
The last one... What the hell lol
No intellivision amigo?

"The board game kickstarters make me very angry!"
