What an interesting collection! For my training I tend to prefer thematic museums and not collections by collection because I believe they make it more difficult to understand the pogressione of art that led from the nineteenth century authors to those of the twentieth century and then to the present day. This absence of a path often confuses the inexperienced observer and encourages the disconnect between contemporary art and the public that leads to the angry comments found at the foot of this video. Nevertheless it is a remarkable collection!

as expected, there was nothing here, but explanations of what the painter was trying to do.
do you suppose Pollock had a clue of what his painting would look like when it was "Done"
how did he know "When it was Done". When he ran out of "Empty Canvas ??, & house paint !

Beautiful collection. Brilliant pieces. Though... Not exactly contemporary.

ONLY reason why I watched this is because I'm writing a paper on how art went from the divine to what looks like the piece of toilet paper I flushed down the toilet this morning.

Such a shame people believe this "quality" art.

Garbage. I don't care what philosophy lies behind it. If it needs heady philosophy in order to appreciate it, it fails as a visual medium.
