Whether you like him or not. You can’t deny Barry is a hitting guru. He learned baseball at a young age from his father ,who was a pretty fair player himself, and his godfather was one of the 5 greatest players ever... The great great Willie Mays. When you’re watching Bonds play it’s pretty much the closest thing to Willie Mays you’ll ever see.

Now a days players don't care about striking out . Back in the days a strikeout was like the worst thing you could do !
It is great to have Barry in the Marlins ! I remember when I saw him play with the Pirates, I was impressed and told myself this is a very special player, all that power and speed! I wish him well and always a fan !

Good video. Choking up makes some sense, and potentially could use longer closer to maximum barrel bat from the tradeoff in weight. Today's pitchers all throw hard and spin. I was only comfortable at the end of the bat, and sometimes even down in my pinkie finger. It wasn't easy to find long bats. I think everyone has had thousands of hours of whiffle bat and weighted bat swings emulating their heroes. Bonds was the best.
When Barry Bonds played for the Pirates during the early 1990's, he obviously had MVP stats during the regular season, but, when it came time to demonstrate that talent in the playoffs he would go AWOL!
