I became ill in my teens and suffered greatly. With no medical help to ease the pain I would take myself to my dark bedroom, cry, breath and listen to my cassette of All about Eve. Still to this day I'll never forget the impact Juliennes voice had on me
Haven’t seen this since forever. The purity of Juliannes voice and the clarity of Tims guitar work, one word, stunning... I think it’s stood the test of time so well... classic songwriting
I used to like All About Eve in the late eighties but didn't appreciate how beautiful Julianne Regan was until recently. She looks stunning on this video.
In 1988 I was on temporary duty in England with the USAF. I saw this video on British MTV and immediately ran out and bought the single (on vinyl). I still have it somewhere, but haven't heard this song in 30 years...
One of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. First listened to Matha's Harbour when it was in the Top 40 back on a hot summers day in 1988. I fell in love with Julianne's voice that day and want it to be played at my funeral when my time comes.
Apple tree man is one of my favourite songs ever. I named my 30 year old daughter after Julianne. She has the purest soul twisting voice which affects me emotionally.
My favourite band ever and my first loves who passed away 1990 how I miss her the songs of all about eve reminds me of our time together I will always love you Elizabeth Anne Clare my wild hearted woman 😢💔🌺🌺🏵️🌻
There is still talent, but I must admit that you have to really search. Try one, or all, of the following: Rhiannon Giddens 'On My Way' Rachel Sermanii 'Don't Fade' Eliza Shaddad 'Just Goes To Show' (piano version). Jasmine Rodgers 'Icicles'
Simply amazing I can remember seeing them at the City Hall Newcastle, and then amazed only a few years later playing a tiny venue in Berwick. So underated. I wish they were still around!
Wow, I searched for this last night on a whim. I remember taping it from NN on a vhs tape. Yeah, both really good versions. Not the sort of music I was into, but I had a friend who was really keen and I ended up getting some early singles when still working at a local record shop. I did get the L.P. which was pretty good, but lost track of them by 1990 I think. Watched some of a Dec 2001 gig last night which is definitely worth a watch if you've not seen it.
Thank you. I have. Regan does a great job on vocals but apart from the upload here, I am not a fan of unplugged shows where the drum and bass of bands' best rockers is sadly absent. AAE's first album was great . Bricheno and Wilson Piper added great body to a few songs on the second and third, but I haven't followed AAE since then.
Met the love of my life when Martha's harbour was released, 1 failed marriage and 1 lost husband to the war of freedom and guess who hasn't got the bslls

"MARTHA'S HARBOUR" (American spelling "Harbor") IS simply one of the most beautiful songs...

I'm so in love.... we need more music like this
A pure, enchanting and mesmerising voice! Great memories from the 80's ..

That voice. ....such beautifully constructed songs too.
Love it. Always have, always will. This music has been important to me for all of my adult life.
still enchanting after the flow of these years
Still brings tears to my eyes
12 strings galore and, Oh that voice. Beautiful and that's an understatement
These 2 songs😍
Amazing voice and music just beautiful!!! 🎶♥️🎶
I named my daughter after this most gifted woman! What a voice!
Such a shame that this fine band didn't make more albums.
True, but I guess it's quality over quantity. Check out JR's solo work
I have just discovered this and it's love at first listen.

After nearly 3 months of Furlough I've tried to play Martha's Harbour as good as Tim...nigh on impossible!! x
Don't give up
The satisfied look on Julianne's face after the line "...see the cradle fall" in Appletree Man, says it all. Pure class!!
So haunting and So underrated as a band
Beautiful voice
Always loved her ❤
Fantastic!!! Thanks for sharing...
You are most welcome
Just pure pop alchemy absolutely beautiful this is awesome and magical
Wish they were still around
Music for the soul, from the soul.
The quintessential singers' lesson.

Many talented bands have achieved far less. AAE had a good innings all things considered.
quelle voix pure de Julianne! que de bons souvenirs !
WOW! what a fantastic performance! so beautiful!
I was totally in love with her in the 80s..even my girlfriend didn't mind
Great voice, very interesting (Temuco, Chile).

Stands the test of time....... A voice that ranks up there with Allison Krause.
🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
I hope I meet and fall in love with a girl as enchanting as Julianne.
Not even trying. Effortless. Both of them.
