I like how you gave it a dreamy feel with the strings at the melody. It makes the song more immersive. Really like the bass implementation also! Small thing, am not a huge fan of you foreshadowing the song at the beginning and the order compared to the original. Anyways, good work!
I don't know what made it so good, I guess that's up to you. But I'd say the reverb and delay I used on the lead and the plucks in the background helped give the song more space and atmosphere.
So basically the background music makes the song feel more calm and mellow in this genre of music, and delay and reverb is what makes the music more natural in this case.
