I know what is the sensation of hearing for the first time your brand new furby. U-Tye (my italian Snow Leopard Furby) had the low pitched voice when i first used her!
Hi, I have a question & I feel like you would know. So, I have a Furby (a fluffy owl furby too) & he's not working. I spun his motor gear for hours & nearly nothing. He will occasionally do a small move & part of a sentence & then completely stop. I'm not sure what might be wrong or what I may need to repair. I'd love to get him working since I plan on customizing & selling him. What might I be able to do for him?
That sounds like rust near the battery wires! Its normally caused because the capacitors right next to where the wires attach to the board have begun to rust and go bad. You'd have to clean the board and replace them, I haven't tried this myself but I will soon once my fiance sends me a furby of his with the same issue. It could be something different but you'd have to look around , but that's my best guess. Hope this helps :D
@@electronicgore8646 Ah! Thank you so much! I'll have to take a look inside once I get home. Even if that's not right, you're the first one who has actually answered me, so I'm glad about that at least!
ayy floofy boi now has a voice, also uhh quick thingy regarding the whole furby repair series, i was wonderin if ya'll could uh give some approximate/estimate? i think is the right word, to as what's wrong with my uh Japanese c mouse so uh yee
I think he may have the same issue I mentioned in the reply in a comment on this video, which is that the capacitors near the battery wire have likely started to rust and gunk up the connection to the furbys batteries. And due to that the furby is shorting out.. to fix you'd have to clean the rust of the wires and board and then replace said capacitors
Not sure😔 The estimated date is December 11th but since the tracking isn't available I'm hoping he will come sooner.. He's already in America as far as I know so probably within the next few weeks
I have that furby and i named it sliver this was posted on the day befrore my birthday you sould name that one sliver :P and also you are an awsome TH-camr
HI! Ok so I got a furby!!! But unsurprisingly they’re not working too well and I was wondering if you could help me? (If that’s ok. I don’t wanna like,,,,, flood you with questions and stuff) they have a few major issues and idk how to fix them. Edit: also sorry for doing this so close to the holidays. Take time for your family and stuff ^^”
Ohh that's problem just a busted speaker! I'm actually working on a video on how to replace those rn But if you don't have a soldering iron you'd require a "spare parts" furby as a sacrifice for your furbys speaker. If it's not that(which is highly unlikely) it could be a problem with the actual soundchip But most likely the speaker is either blown or has started to rust
@@electronicgore8646 well the person I bought it from is sending me another one that’s slightly broken anyways for parts so that’s covered. Is there more than one way to replace the speaker? (I don’t have a soldering iron)
The other way to replace the speaker would be unplugging from the furby and just essentially swapping them out all you really need to know about unplugging is to stick something small between the cracks like maybe a needle and carefully pry it up. Just don't go and yank on it or anything and you should be fine XD Also just a simple question, should I do furby skinning tutorials or include it in my videos? Bc like I know there's a ton of tutorials already but some people are still gonna ask lol

Yay the lord bless his voice back
DAH NOH LAH!!!! His voice sounds a bit silly, guessing it’s just the new speaker though. Awesome work not salvaging another furbys speaker!
Yeah! The speakers do sound a little hollow and too bass-ey at times.. but also they make the K, T, and MM sounds a LOT more pronounced than usual xd
