Long time fan of E. HEROES in general. I like that their fusion materials aren't 90% generic and the artwork actually resembles the fusion materials (you know, the reason it's called fusion?) Edit: I still think the main issue with E. HEROES and Neo Spacians are the main deck monsters. They need retrains because if it's not a bricky vanilla it's most likely a gimmicky Neo Spacian effect
I would love to see a new sub type of "reboot heroes" with effects of "this card's name can be treated as x" Would help with the vanillas and you could have fun with the fact that superheroes get rebooted all the time irl
For me DPE is the perfect example of what Fusions should be like, design wise. It is supposed to be a fusion between Phoenix Enforcer (a Level 6 HERO monster) and Plasma (a Destiny HERO monster). You get a fusion of the designs in the art, but the materials are generic enough for the card to be good, while still referencing the "correct" materials. They went a bit too specific with this new Neos fusion.
@@henriquegalindo9659 that's precisely what I liked about old school fusion. The "specific" aspects of it. For example fusing E. Hero Wildhearth and Blade edge gives you a a monster with the artwork depicting both monsters appearance. While in modern ygo I can fuse 2 shapesnatches to get a Venom fusion dragon. How does that makes sense??!! I get it generic materials means more consistency but in return kills the visual flavor of the mechanic imo. They might as well be Rituals,Xyz or synchros at this point.
Personally on the side of extra deck cards never should've gone full generic. At least have 1 specific card required, as powerful generic cards feel like they're what really push the power creep of the game, as everyone will use those, and then any archetype specific carrier will need to be even more powerful to be worth using at all over the generic. It's an endless cycle

The thing is whenever a card is announced for a deck that's not meta where it will help it to compete to the current meta and that deck is not red-eyes, blue-eyes or dark magician, by the time that card is on tcg, it is irrelevant. For example when quasar was out, board negate and kaijus were a common thing.
Really weird situation with Air Neos and I wish we could get an answer because it is baffling. I have a feeling it is a rights issue. Unlike Pokemon and MTG, Konami doesn't credit its artists so I think it might have to do with that.

@@uilarry4904 you can use king of the swamp to substitute Neos but it wouldn't work for the wingman fusion monster since that material isn't specific enough. It's like trying to fusion summon Rainbow Neos

That trap (searchable with Trap Trick) is actually great, summoning Elemental HERO Cosmo Neos during the opponent's turn is essentially Utopic ZEXAL/Hot RDA King/Calamity and some of the other Neos fusions offer disruption with it as well.

I love the HERO archetype but I would really like some retrains of some of the older heroes. We keep getting NEW HEROs, which I do love that at least the archetype isn't forgotten about, but we don't get a lot of support for older cards. I also think some HEROs have a lot going for them so if they got retrains with some effect boosts, negations and protection are two areas HEROs kind of hurt in. Also Spirit Neos is gonna be fantastic
Dude... what if they make Scyscraper 3 that has effects based on the names of the original E-Heroes in the hand, field or graveyard to give great effects kinda like a Ancient City - Rainbow Ruins counterpart since they both are from the same era? That'd be pretty epic to me, but what do you think? Like if you have Avian you destroy a spell/trap card, Bubbleman you can remove it from play to draw 2 cards, Burstinatrix destroys a monster and inflicts 1200 damage to the opponent, sparkman allows you to swap battle positions, clayman allows a search for a hero to add to hand, etc.
I would personally prefer for them to make specific cards that encourage players to play a normal hero focused deck. something like a polymerization that can use materials from the deck if they're all normal monsters and so on. A few things to keep in mind are bubbleman not being a normal monster or making these cards for the sake of making a new strategy for heroes, and to not stack them with the current strategy.
If I read the trap card correctly, you can special summon cosmo neos during your opponent's turn and lock them from activating monsters on their field. Basically they have their own VFD
Wow, you are correct, they even included the line that it cannot be returned to the extra deck, when summoning a neos fusion, because Chaos Neos blows up the board if it returns.
Wake Up looks like a V Hero Trinity killer, for sure. Attack isn't as high, but multiple attacks with full damage each time makes for easy FTK, and summoning with Miracle Fusion makes it accessible without costing too many resources.
@@ld7207 The Japanese name is “Wake Up Your E * HERO”. E * HERO is the incredibly specific way E Hero cards are formatted in Japanese, so I’m 100% sure it counts.
I love that they are making a card that combines Jaden's favorite monster with his ace monster. I'm surprised it didn't happen sooner. Also the Wake Up Your Heart reference made me die of laughter.
I think Favorite Contact will see decent play in Neos decks despite being a trap. It's basically a free fusion summon that can provide some decent disruption, on the opponent's turn, given what some of the Neos fusions effects are. Probably only a 1 of, though (2 at most).
Even if not practical in an actual competitive HERO deck it would be cool to get a HERO field spell that has effects that benefit off the different sub archetypes you have on board.
Engage is a +1 IF you summon spirit of neos. Its basically a spell that summons the fusion by itself. My problem is it seems too chokepointey. This is a prime ash magnet.
I know it's a huge meme but I just want NEX versions of the other neo spacians already. :( Also for the record, air neos is the only fusion not in duel links either. Something definitely seems to be up with that card.
With Instant Contact, you want to summon Marine Dolphin, and then use that to go into Marine Neos. Essentially, if you have Neos on board, Instant Contact becomes Delinquent Duo.
Actually, the Favorite Contact trap card mostly works AS a trap card, it would HAVE to be a quick play spell to be as good as it is right now. Summoning Cosmo Neos during your opponents Turn literally blanks their entire turn, because they can’t activate cards or use effects at all, and you can’t respond to the activation of it, and no Common Hand Traps interact with the Trap card since it puts cards INTO the deck instead of from the deck
Just a note, Cosmo Neos doesn't actually totally lock them down. It prevents them from activating cards and activating the effects of cards they control. This means they still can: - activate monster effects in the hand (i.e. eldlich the golden lord, thunder dragons) - activate spell, trap and monster effects in the grave/banished pile (eldlich traps, PKs, thunder dragons etc.) Activating a monster effect or a spell/trap in the grave isn't activating a card, hence why the second Cosmo Neos effect exists. The second effect only stops them using effects on field, so decks like eldlich can play their entire turn without being disrupted in any way, including ditching Lord to send your Neos, summoning lord back, setting traps and using the effect of traps sent by lord to get more.
@@CheckpointK Cosmo Neos says “For the rest of this turn your opponent cannot activate cards, also cards your opponent controls cannot activate their effects.” Therefore, no, Eldlich wouldn’t be unheeded. Activating hand traps, or any effects in hand is still considered “Activating a card” hence the word Activating. Same for Activating traps or spells from the graveyard. It’s all activation. You are correct that the second part of the effect doesn’t apply to those, but the first part of the effect is a blanket “No activation”, the second part is for cards already on the field. So yes, it would completely blank your opponents turn, I believe the ONLY thing any opponent can do is set a monster
@@herovill9629 Yu-Gi-Oh is actually a surprisingly specific game, where pretty much every word in card text has a specific meaning. Ever had an omni negate effect say something like "when your opponent activates a spell/trap card or monster effect"? That's an example of the distinction, since if they were the same such cards would just say "card" rather than specifying effect for monsters. You do not "activate" monsters, you either "summon" them or activate their effect(s). Cosmo states that your opponent cannot "activate cards", note "CARDS" not effects. Another specific term used by the second effect is "control". Control doesn't just mean any card your opponent has, but specifically refers to cards on their field. "Possession" is the term used for cards in any location on the opponent's side of the field such as grave and hand. If the second effect swapped "control" with "possession" then it would be the full effect lockdown you're thinking. Of course I'm no judge or anything, and Yu-Gi-Oh has some complex rules, so I wouldn't be surprised if I get proven wrong on this. However as I understand the word meanings, this is how Cosmo plays.

I remember someone the other day here was saying they wanted Jaden/Heroes to be supported so hope you got your wish pal. The old me would probably freak out over Neos finally combining with Shining Flare which I considered Jaden's true Ace, and the effects are exactly what I'd want: The original and more. Maybe I could pick up E Heroes/Neos since several years ago and see how I like it...
I think Instant Contact will see play outside of HERO decks to summon Marine Dolphin. It’s a level 4 Warrior Fusion monster with basically Aqua Dolphin’s effect but it doesn’t eat a normal summon.
Instant Contact seems like the takeaway winner here to me. Neither Instant Fusion nor Ready Fusion can summon level 7s. I could see it getting splashed in Synchro/Xyz turbo decks that really depend on that level.
This is amazing new support. The fact that you can build a more viable marine neos deck should tell you everything you need to know about this new support

It only works for the new shining Neos fusion if you already got a wingman card out of the extra deck already, so not necessarily. The support will go great with Rainbow Neos and Neos Kluger...if they ever actually bring Neos Kluger over to the TCG

Take a good look at Instant Contact's artwork, specifically the wings in the background. Air NEOS has a slightly different design on its wings than the ones on Instant Contact.

I'm always in support for more HERO cards! They are one of my favorite archetypes in Yugioh. Admittedly these cards don't seem too busted but I'm sure they will see more play in the future. Here's hoping they come to Master Duel soon.
Wake Up Your Eleemental HERO seems like an amazing Miracle Fusion target to me. Use Grandmerge's effect to put in the graveyard and then just from doing your combos like normal you should have a pile of other Warrior HERO monsters in grave to turn into a gigantic beat stick that floats on destruction.
Honestly, I'm really glad that they're giving Neos more support, and some pretty decent cards at that. Mostly I'm glad they're supporting protagonists other than Yugi. One more thing I think Neos could use would be another card to search his contact spells, since that would help a lot by searching Convert Contact to draw cards and set up your graveyard for Miracle Contact, and maybe a new field spell that treats itself as Neo Space and also helps special summon Neos.
We need more cards based on opening/closing theme songs. I'm not quite sure what the possibilities are since I don't know all of them, but I think it's a great way to both acknowledge the anime and give the musicians some kudos.
For engage neo space you can just send shadow mist from your deck to graveyard as the cost and that is a good enough effect for me and the main target for this card is sprit of neos so it's +2
Would need to test the other cards but Instant Contact and Favorite Contact seem amazing. Heck when it comes to Neos, any support would push it to the next level.
Konami should definitely do a Elemental HERO Neos structure deck with all of the Neos fusion monsters. Also I'm actually really confused about Air Neos not in the artwork, it feels like Konami is trying to erase it from existence
Imagine if ppl started topping events with an OTK variant. Konami would just put the final nail in the coffin with a ban probably. Not that it'd be super competitive, but that it would give them an excuse to ban it
@@zebra8961 That would be the most likely option, but then they’d also have to change Air Hummingbird’s name, too, unless they want to disrupt the fusions’ naming scheme. I think changing them to “Wind Hummingbird” and “Wind Neos” would be pretty sensible.
Cross Keeper sounds low key good for general HERO deck. It is a Monster Reborn and gets cards out from your hand by discard. It also refreshes your hand when you Fusion Summon (which you will do in the regular combo).
It sounds good but it's not. The intentionally didn't give it a "HERO" name to prevent it from being used in the competitive HERO deck. It only works with Elemental Heroes, has no synergy with the Vision Heroes (can't even discard it with Faris), and his draw 2 effect is overkill after Liquid Soldier essentially does the same thing. If it was an Elemental Hero monster then it absolutely would've been incredible for the HERO deck.
The one thing I think a lot of people have missed with Fusion Exceed is that you can target ANY face-up monster on the field with it, not just your own. So in other words, you can use it in combination with Super Poly to out any targetable card on the field by making it substitute a Fusion material. Also, naturally it's searchable off Spirit of Neos so you could reasonably get it during a combo and then make Verte to send Super Poly.
WOOOOOH! That art for Power of the Elements is reference to Judai/Jaiden vs Yugi duel! Heck, the Shining Flare and Neos cards are something that could be used at that cliffhanger of a duel Honestly the Neo Spacian monsters and their fusions need a retrain or advance versions.
Instant Contact has no restrictions on what type of other cards you can play that turn, so it actually is an Instant Fusion in the sense that it can be used as a random extender. It also goes all the way to level 7, if that matters for Synchro or Xyz players (or even Link, coughBLScough). Also, Favourite Hero can summon Nebula Neos or Cosmo Neos, if you want to draw a ton of cards and negate a monster, or essentially Azathot your opponent. It would require you to play a lot of Neo-Spacians though, which is very bad.
Can see favorite contact being useful in preventing certain removal. Especially since grave is a resource for heros. Spell, trap, and monsters effects that like to bounce to hand or send back to deck would hate the trap.
Favorite Contact being a trap is actually the only thing that might make it playable as it allows you to summon Elemental HERO Cosmo Neos during your opponent's turn
Might be worth running 2 Miracle Fusion going forward. You can get both Neos and Wingman into the grave pretty easily, then Miracle Fusion into Neos Wingman.
With engage neo space you can send shadow mist to the grave as part of the cost, which will search another hero (probably stratos to search neos if you haven't normal summoned or neos if you have). So you can special summon a neospacian and add neos + poly to hand. Just gives you access to any of the fusions really easily. Technically usable to summon some of the more specific E hero fusions too
Dzeeff you can use engage Neo space to summon spirit of neos which helps in searching hero spell cards and do your combo also cross keeper helps to summon spirit of neos .Also fovorite contact can make Cosmo neos on opponent's turn which is actually great .
I think favorite contact is interesting. Because of it wording. You can summon like the neos fusion cosmic and nabula. Also can be use for both Evil and Destiny combos. It feels like one of those cards that are really hard to gauge.
You can combo "Engage Neo Space" with Shadow Mist for their grave effect and special summon Spirit of Neos to activate their on-summon effect. Another combo is to dump Necroshade for their ability to normal summon Neos or one of his two pseudo-retrains, but unless you really like getting into the anime-spirit during a casual match, you should probably refrain from doing so.
So as someone who has been constantly playing, and workshoping neo spacian heroes sense they got initially released in power of the duelist. While I do wish spirit of neos could more reliably summon itself ( personally I wish it had just been a if you control no monsters, or if you control a neo spacian, but I digress) it's summon effect is actually better than it looks. Neos is a very all or nothing deck, its extremely easy for neos to break boards as long as it can establish its board. The issue is if neos fails its attempt at an OTK ( again getting the damage on board isn't that difficult) there is no reliable interaction on the opponents turn, so having spirit helping you survive your opponents battle phase, and setting up for a follow up on your next turn actually helps the deck alot more than you'd expect
Dinos might be getting support in Duelist Pack: Duelists of Pyroxene since it’s supposed to have new cards of the ones characters that used earth monsters had which is what Rex Raptor and Hassleberry mainly used in their decks.
Just a few weeks ago I was working on my Neos Deck in Master Duel; I was actually thinking about the new support I'd like to see. I was really hoping to see more double contact Fusion monsters. I did really like Nebula Neos (it combined two of my favorite Neo-spacians), but there's still a ton of combinations to choose from and potential cool effects. And to be totally honest would love to see Konami finish the NEX versions of the archetype. Now that they have a grasp on how to balance one monster fusions from Masked Heros, they could really make some fun cards... Mostly I just want to see like an "Abyss Panther" and "Abyss Neos" 🤣 All these cards look fun though I guess lol.
I was a bit upset at first, cuz I was hoping with the name of this set "Power of the Elements" that they would have some really good Elemental HERO support (not neos) but I'm glad to see these cards work really well in an Elemental HERO deck also.

I feel like favorite contact could be really good, since you would be able to get out some of the more powerful specific here on monsters. So cards like flame wingman and others I'm forgetting might actually see a little more play
I think Power of the Elements could become meta relevant one day. Its basically instant fusion but you can SS level 7 monsters too, and that's huge for Rank 7 plays and even some synchro plays.
The fact that you can change the card to any level 10 monster means that Fusion Exceed is actually not a terrible facilitator for any Fusions that require level 10 monsters. Mind you, outside of Neos, the only practical use for this would be in Crystal Beasts because it would allow you to tribute any old level 10 monster to bring out the Ultimate Crystal God Dragon. Aside from that, you can make Phantasm Fusions off of the Sacred Beasts and even gain extra effects from Awakening the Sacred Beasts, but I'm not sure how practical that would be because even 2 Sacred Beasts requires a pretty impressive hand. The dumbest use for this card is in Cubics because you can use it to change any monster to Crimson Nova for the ultimate backup plan
Easiest application I can think of for Instant Contact is to bring out Aqua Neos for hand disruption, Sunrise for Miracle Fusion, Grand Mole for a compulse. The card just looks like a better Instant Fusion but needing you to play Neos.
I may be wrong, but the last fusion monster destroys cards it battles before the damage step, so it can never do damage when attacking a monster since t would destroy it before damage calculation. That means the atk gaining effect is basically meaningless unles it’s attacking directly.
Fusion exceed is a super poly extender? It clearly says a face up, not your monster. It could combo great to wipe boards. Maybe some hero fusion has ANY monster on field effect, or go into verde and super poly it. I play cyber dragons, so if I had a card to make opponents monster a machine or cyber dragon specifically issa wrap!

I think Engage neo space it's actually a decent pay off, since summoning neos is a pretty valid way of doing contact fusion, so you use that card, bring neos to the field, summon a neo spacian, then you can summon an extra deck monster. one disappointing thing is that it can only search for a polimerization card, rather than a neos card, i was hoping for it to be able to bring neos fusion or miracle contact but that doesn't seem to be the case. what's interesting about it is the combo possibility with instant contact, since engage neo space gives you the neos and the polimerization, while instant contact cheats out the flame wingman monster, it will allow you to summon the neos wingman monster.
i actually was wrong, engage neo space isn't decent, IT'S SO FREAKING GOOD. why? well, because of spirit of neos. The thing with spirit of neos is that it doesn't need to be summoned by it's own effect to activate the rest of it's effects, so you're able to use him on YOUR TURN, which is HUGE, so you basically draw a polimerization and the card whatever you want to search out (if you want it can be instant contact so you can summon flame wingman then when you bring neos you can fuse him with flame wingman). it can also be summoned with cross keeper
I'm still waiting for a HERO monster that can negate card's effect or activation as a Quick Effect. If Konami decide to make one then I'm sure HERO would be much better (Not so sure though)
There could be a new card or 2 that gets released in the next main set that could support the archetype. Hopefully a new neo spacian that supports using Heros and a new Neos fusion that has some negates

Does fusion Exceed change the cards name? If it does not then you can use a one to make two card contact fusion, or a two card contact fusion a 3 card contact fusion for the neos contact fusion or use 2 cards to make a 3 card contact fusion monsters in a neo Spacian and neos centered Deck.
So I thought I'd vent to the internet about a few red eyes card ideas. To start it's irksome to see red eyes soul not have an added "if a gemini monster was special summoned it gains it's effect" The Dominion of Red (Field spell) - (This is treated as a red eyes card) Once per turn when you inflict burn damage to your opponent add 1 gemini monster, dragon ritual monster, ritual spell or card with gemini in it's text from your deck to your hand and then place 1 red eyes card from your hand to the bottom of your deck. All Level 8 plus dark dragon fusion and ritual monsters you control cannot be targeted by card effects. Red eyes Dread Skull Dragon - (Fusion, Level 10, Dragon, Dark - 3300/1700) [3 red eyes monsters with different levels] Once per turn when your opponent activates a card effect you that would negate or destroy you card(s) negate that effect and banish it. While this card is face up all gemini monsters in the hand and deck are treated as normal monsters and any fiend, warrior or dragon gemini monster that is summoned gains it's effect upon summon.
Allot of the elemntal hero card effects say “once per turn with this name” so if you can target something on the field and change the name… then its possible to pull off the same effect twice in one turn (most times an effect is restricted to once per turn its because its broken so imagine using it twice)
As a hero player, these are not the cards I was hoping for. I never really liked Neos and I think it existing brings down heroes as a whole. The Wingman fusion seems like a good idea, but I really think they couldve given it to us without the Neos requirement.
Power of the elements could be used in a fusion deck that uses level 10 extra deck material. I do like when cards made to work for a specific achetype can work in other ways
Spirit of neos can summon shadow mist for instant dark law. Could be really good, I do wish spirit of neos had "this cards name is considered elemental hero neos" in its effect. That way it space connector could summon it

Engage neo space is probably the best/one of the best cards of this group. You want to summon the new spirit Neos with it, which will search you a card such as instant contact, then tag into the OG Neos. Since you can send shadow mist from the deck if you use a neo spacian in the hand, you can summon the new shining Neos guy while going equal on card advantage and searching a hero at the same time.
Holy shit Cross Keeper is a good card. So, you're a Warrior deck with Neo Space Connector and Aqua Dolphin - You use the Aqua Dolphin to get vital information while sniping a hand trap, use it and the Space Connector as material for Isold (opens up Needlefibre and Auroradon combos, or just is another "free" extender, does weird stuff in HEROES too) then pitch this card from the hand, basically extend an extra Aqua Dolphin to snipe card 2? Keep in mind this sort of combo might open up Omega plays, and that Isolde can summon a second Aqua Dolphin herself if you want to, on the basis of Aqua Dolphin being a "soft" OPT. So, we're at a 3 card hand loop in HEROES, and you get to go +1 with some good selection when you make Sunrise, or Dark Law (Remember, Isolde is also a 1 card Dark Law herself...) I'm not sure I'd run this in every HERO deck, but the next time I'm trying to spice up HEROES with Infernoble Knights this card will definitely make the cut, and I can see a TON of utility for this card. I do think you need to be taking advantage of both abilities for it to be worth it, but holy crap is that card powerful.

The Neo-Spacian I'd want to find is Aqua Dolphin, but if I'm pitching a HERO for Aqua Dolphin and losing to Ash I'd rather just run more Aqua Dolphin (Dolphin is also an awkward normal summon in HEROES compared to a lot of other Warrior Types, since you can only run 3 Faris and Faris locks you out of a lot of the generic Warrior stuff you might want to run with Aqua Dolphin builds.) Not sure what HERO I'd pitch the Dolphin to, it isn't a great starter and I guess this turns it into a 2 card extender that summons Malicious, but that is just card neutral and loses to Ash. Still, I mean, this is technically a consistency card, so maybe it has a shot, if not now maybe someday.
instant contact is a free level 6 or 7 monster in literally any archetype which is pretty crazy, especially when you have some choices of attribute and type
Miracle fusion can use material from grave to fusion summon an elemental hero card. Elemental hero riser can search miracle fusion. …Which means fusion summoning E hero Sun riser turns into a minimum 3100 atk beater, that attacks three times and deals damage to the destroyed monster. Thus OTKing over 3x blue eyes.
Or you could do something a lot dumber but maybe cooler? Get a E hero fusion monster in the GY along with Sun Riser's Material and any other heroes you have (probably shadow mist?) Then fuse them all with the miracle fusion, you get that minimum 3100k beater, and whenever that beater makes an attack Sunrise can destroy a card on the feild
I think Fusion Exceed is gimmicky but meant to be used with Super Poly since you CAN target your opponent's cards. Unfortunately, the funniest monster to drop on them using this effect is a contact fusion so you can't Super Poly for it.
Long time fan of E. HEROES in general. I like that their fusion materials aren't 90% generic and the artwork actually resembles the fusion materials (you know, the reason it's called fusion?)
Edit: I still think the main issue with E. HEROES and Neo Spacians are the main deck monsters. They need retrains because if it's not a bricky vanilla it's most likely a gimmicky Neo Spacian effect

For me DPE is the perfect example of what Fusions should be like, design wise. It is supposed to be a fusion between Phoenix Enforcer (a Level 6 HERO monster) and Plasma (a Destiny HERO monster). You get a fusion of the designs in the art, but the materials are generic enough for the card to be good, while still referencing the "correct" materials. They went a bit too specific with this new Neos fusion.

Hero Wildhearth and Blade edge gives you a a monster with the artwork depicting both monsters appearance. While in modern ygo I can fuse 2 shapesnatches to get a Venom fusion dragon. How does that makes sense??!!
I get it generic materials means more consistency but in return kills the visual flavor of the mechanic imo. They might as well be Rituals,Xyz or synchros at this point.
Personally on the side of extra deck cards never should've gone full generic. At least have 1 specific card required, as powerful generic cards feel like they're what really push the power creep of the game, as everyone will use those, and then any archetype specific carrier will need to be even more powerful to be worth using at all over the generic. It's an endless cycle
Finally, now with Spirit of Neos, I can consistently search Sparkman and Sparkblaster with one card. The age of clown control 2 is nigh!

The thing is whenever a card is announced for a deck that's not meta where it will help it to compete to the current meta and that deck is not red-eyes, blue-eyes or dark magician, by the time that card is on tcg, it is irrelevant. For example when quasar was out, board negate and kaijus were a common thing.

That trap (searchable with Trap Trick) is actually great, summoning Elemental HERO Cosmo Neos during the opponent's turn is essentially Utopic ZEXAL/Hot RDA King/Calamity and some of the other Neos fusions offer disruption with it as well.

I love the HERO archetype but I would really like some retrains of some of the older heroes. We keep getting NEW HEROs, which I do love that at least the archetype isn't forgotten about, but we don't get a lot of support for older cards. I also think some HEROs have a lot going for them so if they got retrains with some effect boosts, negations and protection are two areas HEROs kind of hurt in. Also Spirit Neos is gonna be fantastic

Dude... what if they make Scyscraper 3 that has effects based on the names of the original E-Heroes in the hand, field or graveyard to give great effects kinda like a Ancient City - Rainbow Ruins counterpart since they both are from the same era? That'd be pretty epic to me, but what do you think? Like if you have Avian you destroy a spell/trap card, Bubbleman you can remove it from play to draw 2 cards, Burstinatrix destroys a monster and inflicts 1200 damage to the opponent, sparkman allows you to swap battle positions, clayman allows a search for a hero to add to hand, etc.
I mean it would fit considering superheroes always get rebooted all the time in comics so hero would fit that perfectly
I would personally prefer for them to make specific cards that encourage players to play a normal hero focused deck. something like a polymerization that can use materials from the deck if they're all normal monsters and so on. A few things to keep in mind are bubbleman not being a normal monster or making these cards for the sake of making a new strategy for heroes, and to not stack them with the current strategy.
If I read the trap card correctly, you can special summon cosmo neos during your opponent's turn and lock them from activating monsters on their field. Basically they have their own VFD

Wake Up looks like a V Hero Trinity killer, for sure. Attack isn't as high, but multiple attacks with full damage each time makes for easy FTK, and summoning with Miracle Fusion makes it accessible without costing too many resources.

I love that they are making a card that combines Jaden's favorite monster with his ace monster. I'm surprised it didn't happen sooner. Also the Wake Up Your Heart reference made me die of laughter.
I think Favorite Contact will see decent play in Neos decks despite being a trap. It's basically a free fusion summon that can provide some decent disruption, on the opponent's turn, given what some of the Neos fusions effects are. Probably only a 1 of, though (2 at most).
Even if not practical in an actual competitive HERO deck it would be cool to get a HERO field spell that has effects that benefit off the different sub archetypes you have on board.
Engage is a +1 IF you summon spirit of neos. Its basically a spell that summons the fusion by itself. My problem is it seems too chokepointey. This is a prime ash magnet.

With Instant Contact, you want to summon Marine Dolphin, and then use that to go into Marine Neos. Essentially, if you have Neos on board, Instant Contact becomes Delinquent Duo.
Actually, the Favorite Contact trap card mostly works AS a trap card, it would HAVE to be a quick play spell to be as good as it is right now.
Summoning Cosmo Neos during your opponents Turn literally blanks their entire turn, because they can’t activate cards or use effects at all, and you can’t respond to the activation of it, and no Common Hand Traps interact with the Trap card since it puts cards INTO the deck instead of from the deck

Just a note, Cosmo Neos doesn't actually totally lock them down. It prevents them from activating cards and activating the effects of cards they control. This means they still can:
- activate monster effects in the hand (i.e. eldlich the golden lord, thunder dragons)
- activate spell, trap and monster effects in the grave/banished pile (eldlich traps, PKs, thunder dragons etc.)
Activating a monster effect or a spell/trap in the grave isn't activating a card, hence why the second Cosmo Neos effect exists. The second effect only stops them using effects on field, so decks like eldlich can play their entire turn without being disrupted in any way, including ditching Lord to send your Neos, summoning lord back, setting traps and using the effect of traps sent by lord to get more.

Therefore, no, Eldlich wouldn’t be unheeded. Activating hand traps, or any effects in hand is still considered “Activating a card” hence the word Activating. Same for Activating traps or spells from the graveyard. It’s all activation. You are correct that the second part of the effect doesn’t apply to those, but the first part of the effect is a blanket “No activation”, the second part is for cards already on the field. So yes, it would completely blank your opponents turn, I believe the ONLY thing any opponent can do is set a monster
@@herovill9629 Yu-Gi-Oh is actually a surprisingly specific game, where pretty much every word in card text has a specific meaning. Ever had an omni negate effect say something like "when your opponent activates a spell/trap card or monster effect"? That's an example of the distinction, since if they were the same such cards would just say "card" rather than specifying effect for monsters. You do not "activate" monsters, you either "summon" them or activate their effect(s). Cosmo states that your opponent cannot "activate cards", note "CARDS" not effects.
Another specific term used by the second effect is "control". Control doesn't just mean any card your opponent has, but specifically refers to cards on their field. "Possession" is the term used for cards in any location on the opponent's side of the field such as grave and hand. If the second effect swapped "control" with "possession" then it would be the full effect lockdown you're thinking.
Of course I'm no judge or anything, and Yu-Gi-Oh has some complex rules, so I wouldn't be surprised if I get proven wrong on this. However as I understand the word meanings, this is how Cosmo plays.

I think Instant Contact will see play outside of HERO decks to summon Marine Dolphin. It’s a level 4 Warrior Fusion monster with basically Aqua Dolphin’s effect but it doesn’t eat a normal summon.
I thought about that one, but that means running Neos, which is a lv7 vanilla brick that you must send to gy with yet another effect
Instant Contact seems like the takeaway winner here to me. Neither Instant Fusion nor Ready Fusion can summon level 7s. I could see it getting splashed in Synchro/Xyz turbo decks that really depend on that level.

I'm always in support for more HERO cards! They are one of my favorite archetypes in Yugioh. Admittedly these cards don't seem too busted but I'm sure they will see more play in the future. Here's hoping they come to Master Duel soon.

Wake Up Your Eleemental HERO seems like an amazing Miracle Fusion target to me. Use Grandmerge's effect to put in the graveyard and then just from doing your combos like normal you should have a pile of other Warrior HERO monsters in grave to turn into a gigantic beat stick that floats on destruction.
Unless I'm missing something "Engage Neo Space" should combo with "Instant Contact" to easily bring out "Elemental HERO Shining Neos Wingman".
Honestly, I'm really glad that they're giving Neos more support, and some pretty decent cards at that. Mostly I'm glad they're supporting protagonists other than Yugi. One more thing I think Neos could use would be another card to search his contact spells, since that would help a lot by searching Convert Contact to draw cards and set up your graveyard for Miracle Contact, and maybe a new field spell that treats itself as Neo Space and also helps special summon Neos.
We need more cards based on opening/closing theme songs. I'm not quite sure what the possibilities are since I don't know all of them, but I think it's a great way to both acknowledge the anime and give the musicians some kudos.
For engage neo space you can just send shadow mist from your deck to graveyard as the cost and that is a good enough effect for me and the main target for this card is sprit of neos so it's +2

@@zebra8961 That would be the most likely option, but then they’d also have to change Air Hummingbird’s name, too, unless they want to disrupt the fusions’ naming scheme. I think changing them to “Wind Hummingbird” and “Wind Neos” would be pretty sensible.
Cross Keeper sounds low key good for general HERO deck. It is a Monster Reborn and gets cards out from your hand by discard. It also refreshes your hand when you Fusion Summon (which you will do in the regular combo).
It sounds good but it's not. The intentionally didn't give it a "HERO" name to prevent it from being used in the competitive HERO deck. It only works with Elemental Heroes, has no synergy with the Vision Heroes (can't even discard it with Faris), and his draw 2 effect is overkill after Liquid Soldier essentially does the same thing. If it was an Elemental Hero monster then it absolutely would've been incredible for the HERO deck.
The one thing I think a lot of people have missed with Fusion Exceed is that you can target ANY face-up monster on the field with it, not just your own. So in other words, you can use it in combination with Super Poly to out any targetable card on the field by making it substitute a Fusion material. Also, naturally it's searchable off Spirit of Neos so you could reasonably get it during a combo and then make Verte to send Super Poly.
i was never a neos guy; always hated that they leave the field without the field spell.
Fusion Exceed doesn't specify that the monster has to be on your side of the field. It synergizes amazingly well with super poly

Instant Contact has no restrictions on what type of other cards you can play that turn, so it actually is an Instant Fusion in the sense that it can be used as a random extender. It also goes all the way to level 7, if that matters for Synchro or Xyz players (or even Link, coughBLScough).
Also, Favourite Hero can summon Nebula Neos or Cosmo Neos, if you want to draw a ton of cards and negate a monster, or essentially Azathot your opponent. It would require you to play a lot of Neo-Spacians though, which is very bad.
Can see favorite contact being useful in preventing certain removal. Especially since grave is a resource for heros. Spell, trap, and monsters effects that like to bounce to hand or send back to deck would hate the trap.
Favorite Contact being a trap is actually the only thing that might make it playable as it allows you to summon Elemental HERO Cosmo Neos during your opponent's turn
Might be worth running 2 Miracle Fusion going forward. You can get both Neos and Wingman into the grave pretty easily, then Miracle Fusion into Neos Wingman.
Or just go into sunrise using poly and then miracle fusion getting into Neos Wingman
With engage neo space you can send shadow mist to the grave as part of the cost, which will search another hero (probably stratos to search neos if you haven't normal summoned or neos if you have). So you can special summon a neospacian and add neos + poly to hand. Just gives you access to any of the fusions really easily.
Technically usable to summon some of the more specific E hero fusions too
Dzeeff you can use engage Neo space to summon spirit of neos which helps in searching hero spell cards and do your combo also cross keeper helps to summon spirit of neos .Also fovorite contact can make Cosmo neos on opponent's turn which is actually great .
Engage neo space can be used to get spirit of neos on the field, ergo get normal neos to your field.

I think favorite contact is interesting. Because of it wording. You can summon like the neos fusion cosmic and nabula. Also can be use for both Evil and Destiny combos. It feels like one of those cards that are really hard to gauge.

You can combo "Engage Neo Space" with Shadow Mist for their grave effect and special summon Spirit of Neos to activate their on-summon effect. Another combo is to dump Necroshade for their ability to normal summon Neos or one of his two pseudo-retrains, but unless you really like getting into the anime-spirit during a casual match, you should probably refrain from doing so.
So as someone who has been constantly playing, and workshoping neo spacian heroes sense they got initially released in power of the duelist. While I do wish spirit of neos could more reliably summon itself ( personally I wish it had just been a if you control no monsters, or if you control a neo spacian, but I digress) it's summon effect is actually better than it looks. Neos is a very all or nothing deck, its extremely easy for neos to break boards as long as it can establish its board. The issue is if neos fails its attempt at an OTK ( again getting the damage on board isn't that difficult) there is no reliable interaction on the opponents turn, so having spirit helping you survive your opponents battle phase, and setting up for a follow up on your next turn actually helps the deck alot more than you'd expect
Now that spirit of neos exists, we can expect dinosaur DNA spirit coming next
Dinos might be getting support in Duelist Pack: Duelists of Pyroxene since it’s supposed to have new cards of the ones characters that used earth monsters had which is what Rex Raptor and Hassleberry mainly used in their decks.
Just a few weeks ago I was working on my Neos Deck in Master Duel; I was actually thinking about the new support I'd like to see. I was really hoping to see more double contact Fusion monsters. I did really like Nebula Neos (it combined two of my favorite Neo-spacians), but there's still a ton of combinations to choose from and potential cool effects. And to be totally honest would love to see Konami finish the NEX versions of the archetype. Now that they have a grasp on how to balance one monster fusions from Masked Heros, they could really make some fun cards... Mostly I just want to see like an "Abyss Panther" and "Abyss Neos" 🤣

I was a bit upset at first, cuz I was hoping with the name of this set "Power of the Elements" that they would have some really good Elemental HERO support (not neos) but I'm glad to see these cards work really well in an Elemental HERO deck also.
I feel ya bro we can still hold out hope that OG HEROs might see support like 3-5 cards
@@TheSliferSlacker199 yeah, just waiting for a good E Hero monster that can be search with e emergency call & a hero lives, cuz right now the targets are not as good and no 1 hero monster can let you pop off without extra cards.

I feel like favorite contact could be really good, since you would be able to get out some of the more powerful specific here on monsters. So cards like flame wingman and others I'm forgetting might actually see a little more play

I think Power of the Elements could become meta relevant one day. Its basically instant fusion but you can SS level 7 monsters too, and that's huge for Rank 7 plays and even some synchro plays.
The fact that you can change the card to any level 10 monster means that Fusion Exceed is actually not a terrible facilitator for any Fusions that require level 10 monsters. Mind you, outside of Neos, the only practical use for this would be in Crystal Beasts because it would allow you to tribute any old level 10 monster to bring out the Ultimate Crystal God Dragon. Aside from that, you can make Phantasm Fusions off of the Sacred Beasts and even gain extra effects from Awakening the Sacred Beasts, but I'm not sure how practical that would be because even 2 Sacred Beasts requires a pretty impressive hand. The dumbest use for this card is in Cubics because you can use it to change any monster to Crimson Nova for the ultimate backup plan
Easiest application I can think of for Instant Contact is to bring out Aqua Neos for hand disruption, Sunrise for Miracle Fusion, Grand Mole for a compulse.
The card just looks like a better Instant Fusion but needing you to play Neos.

I may be wrong, but the last fusion monster destroys cards it battles before the damage step, so it can never do damage when attacking a monster since t would destroy it before damage calculation.
That means the atk gaining effect is basically meaningless unles it’s attacking directly.

Fusion exceed is a super poly extender? It clearly says a face up, not your monster. It could combo great to wipe boards.
Maybe some hero fusion has ANY monster on field effect, or go into verde and super poly it. I play cyber dragons, so if I had a card to make opponents monster a machine or cyber dragon specifically issa wrap!

In fact you wouldn’t need go give ur opponent a Kaiju. Id usually give the machine one, summon core or herz, the fuse or if herz and kaju is in link zone RAnima it
Instant contact can be used in any synchro/xyz/link deck as an extender
Favorite contact is pretty strong if you consider that it can put cards that are banish back to your deck like destiny hero malicious or so much more
I'm curious if these new cards could do some crazy combos with wrath of neos.
I think Engage neo space it's actually a decent pay off, since summoning neos is a pretty valid way of doing contact fusion, so you use that card, bring neos to the field, summon a neo spacian, then you can summon an extra deck monster.
one disappointing thing is that it can only search for a polimerization card, rather than a neos card, i was hoping for it to be able to bring neos fusion or miracle contact but that doesn't seem to be the case.
what's interesting about it is the combo possibility with instant contact, since engage neo space gives you the neos and the polimerization, while instant contact cheats out the flame wingman monster, it will allow you to summon the neos wingman monster.
i actually was wrong, engage neo space isn't decent, IT'S SO FREAKING GOOD.
why? well, because of spirit of neos.
The thing with spirit of neos is that it doesn't need to be summoned by it's own effect to activate the rest of it's effects, so you're able to use him on YOUR TURN, which is HUGE, so you basically draw a polimerization and the card whatever you want to search out (if you want it can be instant contact so you can summon flame wingman then when you bring neos you can fuse him with flame wingman).
it can also be summoned with cross keeper
I mean, the instant contact is basically ready fusion but also for lv7 and effect monsters, although the effs are negated.
I'm still waiting for a HERO monster that can negate card's effect or activation as a Quick Effect. If Konami decide to make one then I'm sure HERO would be much better (Not so sure though)

There could be a new card or 2 that gets released in the next main set that could support the archetype. Hopefully a new neo spacian that supports using Heros and a new Neos fusion that has some negates
I think that favorite contact has insane lockdown potential if used on things like cosmo neos like calamities or nebula neos like a insane draw card in fact i think is just matter of days before something like a 1 card combo is discovered specialy with spirit neos
Does fusion Exceed change the cards name? If it does not then you can use a one to make two card contact fusion, or a two card contact fusion a 3 card contact fusion for the neos contact fusion or use 2 cards to make a 3 card contact fusion monsters in a neo Spacian and neos centered Deck.

So I thought I'd vent to the internet about a few red eyes card ideas. To start it's irksome to see red eyes soul not have an added "if a gemini monster was special summoned it gains it's effect"
The Dominion of Red (Field spell) - (This is treated as a red eyes card) Once per turn when you inflict burn damage to your opponent add 1 gemini monster, dragon ritual monster, ritual spell or card with gemini in it's text from your deck to your hand and then place 1 red eyes card from your hand to the bottom of your deck. All Level 8 plus dark dragon fusion and ritual monsters you control cannot be targeted by card effects.
Red eyes Dread Skull Dragon - (Fusion, Level 10, Dragon, Dark - 3300/1700) [3 red eyes monsters with different levels] Once per turn when your opponent activates a card effect you that would negate or destroy you card(s) negate that effect and banish it. While this card is face up all gemini monsters in the hand and deck are treated as normal monsters and any fiend, warrior or dragon gemini monster that is summoned gains it's effect upon summon.
Allot of the elemntal hero card effects say “once per turn with this name” so if you can target something on the field and change the name… then its possible to pull off the same effect twice in one turn (most times an effect is restricted to once per turn its because its broken so imagine using it twice)
Instant Contact can be used to bring out the fusion of aqua dolphin, so the neos space connector into aqua dolphin has evolved
As a hero player, these are not the cards I was hoping for. I never really liked Neos and I think it existing brings down heroes as a whole. The Wingman fusion seems like a good idea, but I really think they couldve given it to us without the Neos requirement.

Power of the elements could be used in a fusion deck that uses level 10 extra deck material. I do like when cards made to work for a specific achetype can work in other ways
Spirit of neos can summon shadow mist for instant dark law. Could be really good, I do wish spirit of neos had "this cards name is considered elemental hero neos" in its effect. That way it space connector could summon it

Wait. Fusion Exceed targets a card on the field period? So my opponents monsters as well? Which means I can use them as Super Poly targets. Or, Fusion Exceed can send them to the graveyard/back to the deck.
Engage neo space is probably the best/one of the best cards of this group. You want to summon the new spirit Neos with it, which will search you a card such as instant contact, then tag into the OG Neos. Since you can send shadow mist from the deck if you use a neo spacian in the hand, you can summon the new shining Neos guy while going equal on card advantage and searching a hero at the same time.

Holy shit Cross Keeper is a good card. So, you're a Warrior deck with Neo Space Connector and Aqua Dolphin - You use the Aqua Dolphin to get vital information while sniping a hand trap, use it and the Space Connector as material for Isold (opens up Needlefibre and Auroradon combos, or just is another "free" extender, does weird stuff in HEROES too) then pitch this card from the hand, basically extend an extra Aqua Dolphin to snipe card 2? Keep in mind this sort of combo might open up Omega plays, and that Isolde can summon a second Aqua Dolphin herself if you want to, on the basis of Aqua Dolphin being a "soft" OPT. So, we're at a 3 card hand loop in HEROES, and you get to go +1 with some good selection when you make Sunrise, or Dark Law (Remember, Isolde is also a 1 card Dark Law herself...)
I'm not sure I'd run this in every HERO deck, but the next time I'm trying to spice up HEROES with Infernoble Knights this card will definitely make the cut, and I can see a TON of utility for this card. I do think you need to be taking advantage of both abilities for it to be worth it, but holy crap is that card powerful.
Engage Neo Space is... Fine. The Neo-Spacian I'd want to find is Aqua Dolphin, but if I'm pitching a HERO for Aqua Dolphin and losing to Ash I'd rather just run more Aqua Dolphin (Dolphin is also an awkward normal summon in HEROES compared to a lot of other Warrior Types, since you can only run 3 Faris and Faris locks you out of a lot of the generic Warrior stuff you might want to run with Aqua Dolphin builds.) Not sure what HERO I'd pitch the Dolphin to, it isn't a great starter and I guess this turns it into a 2 card extender that summons Malicious, but that is just card neutral and loses to Ash. Still, I mean, this is technically a consistency card, so maybe it has a shot, if not now maybe someday.

instant contact is a free level 6 or 7 monster in literally any archetype which is pretty crazy, especially when you have some choices of attribute and type
Miracle fusion can use material from grave to fusion summon an elemental hero card.
Elemental hero riser can search miracle fusion.
…Which means fusion summoning E hero Sun riser turns into a minimum 3100 atk beater, that attacks three times and deals damage to the destroyed monster.
Thus OTKing over 3x blue eyes.
Or you could do something a lot dumber but maybe cooler? Get a E hero fusion monster in the GY along with Sun Riser's Material and any other heroes you have (probably shadow mist?) Then fuse them all with the miracle fusion, you get that minimum 3100k beater, and whenever that beater makes an attack Sunrise can destroy a card on the feild
I think the Air Neos thing is more than just rights to the artwork. If that was the case, they could just reprint it with an alternate artwork.
I think Fusion Exceed is gimmicky but meant to be used with Super Poly since you CAN target your opponent's cards. Unfortunately, the funniest monster to drop on them using this effect is a contact fusion so you can't Super Poly for it.
