Ok, I’ll try again. Can you explain what mechanism is keeping storms from entering the US further south? Last year it seemed that some storms would enter from the north, some storms would dive further south. Is there a persistent Rex block high in the pacific off of Southern California? Is it some other mechanism?
Has SoCal even seen a raindrop yet this winter? I know my snowboarding buddies are suffering bad there right now. Gotta make a 4.5 hour drive to mammoth just to see fresh snow but even mammoth is struggling this winter

It just snowed a foot at Northstar and Kirkwood was firing last week. Tomster missed on Tahoe snow yesterday
