Seriously i need more of this kinda documentary films about Frau Baltsa. I want them desperately. It's so cute when she said herself as a kid 'das dicke Kind'..:) and when she talked about her solitude and anxiety before every single performance, i was quite shocked as i never felt that she was in such a nervous state. How respectable that she overcame her own difficulities each time and made the best of it. and I found it so professional that she cares what she eats, drinks, etc..before the stage. It's not 'komisch' at all as she said. It's the charm and the greatness. She cares her work very much just like she cares every single note of songs. Her attitude and efforts prove her words that her heartbeat started long before at her first stage and since then it never stops.
She once said that she has always felt this solitude caused by the responsibility and respect for the works, the public, and herself..
Quite surprisingly she has also kept 'healthy melancholy' in her mind, which you can infer from the last interview scene in this video. After a few years of appreciating her music and trying to understand her, i found it in her words and singing..
She defined her life and her career as the way of 'two steps back and three steps front'. Quite humble as well as self-acknowledged.
I think there're so much to learn from her mentality and her attitude towards her life and work. Truly ein Sorbas and beautiful person she is.

The reason why I love Carmen is not because she's a charming bohemian woman, not because the music is wonderful and the background of it is exotic. It's because Carmen is a person who always cried for the freedom and fell in love with passion and enthusiasm, with a full heart, which eventually caused her to face the moment of death. And I love Carmen because she is a person who didn't stop or step back even if she knew it would end up with death. She kept her own belief in freedom and love, and acted up to it without hesitation. Although the lyric shows such a firm determination, Baltsa's subtle expression let us see the other side of Carmen (or one of the real sides) as a small human being who is naturally afraid of death. At the moment of death, however, she is such a bold and huge person who accepts that the death indeed is a true freedom.
I love Carmen because she is ein Sorbas.
And for the same reason, I love Agnes Baltsa who has her own belief in freedom, love, art, her work of using her voice and creating various characters, as well as her own 'healthy melancholy'(based on the thoughts about death;in her other interview) in her mind. I love her and I want to be a person like her. She has taught me so many lessons, she has given me so much comfort whenever I need (since I was teenage). I wish her sincerely good health and a long life.

Schade!
