Still blows my mind, the mid 90s were 30 years ago. I feel so old now. In 1995 I was 22, still living at home, working in a pathology lab at a major hospital, my health was excellent, had a good friends, it was good times. Whilst the world had its problems then, they didn't seem as bad as now, we lived in the blissful ignorance of early internet and no social media. For those watching this, who are still young, enjoy the time you have, for it can be taken from you quickly.
Hello some random guy! My name is Ri (our names rhyme, how silly) and I just wanted to let you know how much your channel means to my dad and I. We watch your videos as soon as they come out, and usually end up watching your compilations late into the night when we probably should be sleeping! We have been following you for years now and we talk about your channel probably more than any other youtuber. I am a college radio host and build my setlists based on themes, so I often go to your videos for inspiration. There are so many songs that my dad and I reference simply because they are in multiple of your videos (like "Live is Life" by Opus... we had never heard that song until we watched your videos and now we talk about it ALL THE TIME).We just wanted to say keep up the good work, thank you for introducing us to music we would never have heard otherwise, and we appreciate your channel being a big part of our relationship!
Anyone else get the urge to lay on their stomach in front of a giant boom box and patiently wait for their favorite song to record? Thanks for the memories ❤
Thank you SRG for a flashback to a golden era. 👍 I am happy I grew up in the 1990s. "Tell Me When" by The Human League is a forgotten pop gem and was a hit at the time in the UK. TLC were amazing. "Crazysexycool" one of the best albums ever imo! Love "Dear Mama" by 2Pac. I like the music of Corona, even if she wasn't a real singer. Fantastic Eurodance music, and a golden era for that style in fact for all music!! My favourite is the beautiful "You Are Not Alone" by the late Michael Jackson and featuring the late Lisa-Marie Presley. Quite sad seeing and hearing that song now. I also like "When Love and Hate Collide" by Def Leppard - a beautiful rock ballad and the beautiful environmental / anti-war message "Earthsong" by Michael Jackson. My sister copied the video with the hands in the dirt in our garden and got told off 😂
I can't believe the 90s is 35 years old. Almost every song from that era is sampled by rappers and other singers and every movie and TV show from that era is rebooted and remade.
Some Random Guy! It's very exciting those videos you do covering music hits from the 1960's all the way up to the late 2000's, especially introducing songs that were failures in USA, but found major success outside America.
@@colinroberts2060 depends what kind of dance music. The rave music was more the first half of the 90s. Eurodance I'd say was strongest in 1993 & 94. By 1995 & 96 it starts to diversify into more genres like trip hop and big beat.
I was 7th grade…. Had scoliosis surgery so I spent the whole year of 1995 in and out of bed and doctors appointments listening to music the entire time ❤
What a great year for music! A little bitter mixed in with the sweet as I remember buying many of these CDs with my girlfriend, wasting days at music stores and checking to see if we have enough change leftover for pretzels and sodas.
Beautiful Life (Ace of Base), You'll See (Madonna) and GoldenEye (Tina Turner) were huge hits in my country despite not being that successful in the main charts. Madonna also had Human Nature and Bedtime Story in 1995 - really unique songs!
And i would love much more if you made 2 more video series: the First one covering Japanese Pop music hits and Anime soundtracks from 1980 to 2010; and the second one covering music genres and hit songs from my home country Brazil, from at least 1960 to 2000.
The year the Quebec Nordiques moved to Colorado, the year the original PlayStation and Sega Saturn came out, and one of the last Millennial birth years.
I'm happy you're back for good with a sweet sweet fantasy playlist that make me wanna Scream, cos it's boombastic, fantastic, i got five on it and it freaks Me from the night until the early morn. I ask her for one more chance so as not to run away with you
1995 is almost definitely one of my favorite 90s years for music. Only reason it’s not at the top is because 1991 was when Nevermind and L’autre dropped and 1990 was a weird transitional year that still produced some greats. My top five favorite songs of this year: 1: Wake Up Boo! (The Boo Radleys) 2: XXL (Mylene Farmer) 3: Extres (EX-3) 4: Common People (Pulp) 5: Da Funk (Daft Punk)
I just love these trips down memory lane.. My body, slowly moving and getting into the rhythm. Before I know it I'm literally jiving over here like a school girl and honey, I might not be one anymore, but boy, oh boy I'm jiving and singing aloud for the whole neighborhood to hear!! Hahaha, who cares, you only live once right!? I'm still here in the background and support you, as always. "In the name of love" Some Random Girl 😉💃🏻🤍🪽
There's a huge omission here. No Doubt released their massive bestseller Tragic Kingdom in 1995, and it contained five big hit singles. Any one of those was better than almost any song in this video.
SRG THANK YOU AGAIN FOR EVERYONE WHO LOVE'S THE CHANNEL 🎧 STILL BANG AND OLUFSEN HEADPHONES PS5 HEADSET HAPPY NEW YEAR BROTHER AND TO YOU ALL MUCH LOVE FROM CHESTERFIELD DERBYSHIRE ENGLAND KEEP UP WITH THE GOOD WORK SIR .SRG ❤
Blimey! I'm 15 again! Where did the time go? I can't believe I'm 45 in March. 😱 I'm gonna be the same age as Freddie Mercury! 45 felt really old when I was 11 when he died. I'm blessed to be 45, rather than moan about it!! 😊
Wow. I was born in 1991, so I can't relate to folks for whom these were their high school jams etc. but this is about when I started to really "gain consciousness" so to speak. I was aware enough for example to remember hearing the Macarena everywhere. From here these are just gonna keep getting more and more relatable aren't they? The years are gonna start hitting me so fast. 😂
In 1995 we had Viva, but no MTV, so I would record videos and I remember like it was yesterday One sweet day was on and finally I caught it on tape, but the tape ended before the music video ended 😢 if only I knew back then that TH-cam would be invented 😂❤
While the local music scene in Serbia was mostly about who was the king of cocaine and who stole which girl's fur coat, there was also talk about who went far away when they were young. But, on the other hand, this year was also more than unforgettable for the world music scene. The people of Serbia and Montenegro will remember this year for the first valuable post-sanctions success for our country - the title of European champion in basketball in 1995, as well as their unforgettable welcome in front of the Serbian Parliament in Belgrade. As for the attached hits from this list, while this song was played on the radio by the Košava station, the main channel for young people in this area was the Third Channel of Radio Television of Serbia, which returned to a 24-hour broadcasting schedule in 1995 thanks to the rebroadcast of your then leading music channel Viva.
It's kinda freakin my brain out coz I don't remember all these songs being from the same era much less the same exact year. Perception of time getting funkier the older I get. 😭
Memories listening to this lot getting ready for school then on Walkman going to school. Pointless memory but funny how music feels like a Time Machine when listening. Now I’m to return to being 45, stretch marks and debt lol
5:47 ok so two things 1 - that's not weed theyre smoking, that solvent huffing lol 2 - they sell weed in the grocery store where im to, more soccer moms vs hippies smoke it now lmaoooo

Thank you ❤
It seems like it was "yesterday" that I experienced the year 1995. What sensational music we had in the world!!!!!

Anyone else get the urge to lay on their stomach in front of a giant boom box and patiently wait for their favorite song to record? Thanks for the memories ❤
The fact that music is so easy 2 hear whenever we want kinda takes away from it all
As happy as this makes me…. It hurts. I can remember the places I was, and the way I felt back then. I miss the energy so much.
I feel you ❤ it almost hurts.
Me too - little did we know that we were in the midst of the best days of our life until we look back
Thank you SRG for a flashback to a golden era. 👍 I am happy I grew up in the 1990s. "Tell Me When" by The Human League is a forgotten pop gem and was a hit at the time in the UK. TLC were amazing. I know, and in another five years, it'll have been 40 years since the 90's ended.
This video makes me feel old, Thank you very much
Music from my early middle school days!!! Super fun times!!! 🥰💓🎼🎵🎶📻
Some Random Guy! It's very exciting those videos you do covering music hits from the 1960's all the way up to the late 2000's, especially introducing songs that were failures in USA, but found major success outside America.
A nice compilation, though quite a few that didn't turn up in the UK until the year after. Scary this is now 30 years ago.
95 the best year of 90s dance music.
Definitely yes 💃🏻🎉
Though I wasn't born yet, I would put it in contention with 1992 or '96 as well.
99

These are some great songs, but can’t believe that they’re all 30 now…
30 years already?! How did that happen?
I remember being 9-14 years old with 1995 being 10-15 years ago. And I remember it like it was yesterday.
In my head, 1995 was 2 years ago.
1995 i was 20yo!!!!!!!! I was starting university!!! 🙀🙀🙀😂😂😂😂
Me too. 🙂Good times, went by in the blink of an eye!
Im turing 45 this year...these are all from my freshman year..great times

Hitchin up the buggy, churnin lots of butter, raised a barn on Monday, soon I’ll raise anudder!
Happy 30th Anniversary 🎉
Love your work.
And 30 years later Def Leppard still rocks as hard as ever. 🎉😊
Beautiful Life (Ace of Base), You'll See (Madonna) and GoldenEye (Tina Turner) were huge hits in my country despite not being that successful in the main charts. Madonna also had Human Nature and Bedtime Story in 1995 - really unique songs!
Selena, rip from a SA local. We’ll always love you!
Thank you so much Random l only know a few from tis chart❤
What a great year for music. Thank you for uploading this.
I was born in 1995, I can't believe I'm old as these songs
Another great video, thank you
Oh man, this takes me back! It was a great year musically.
6:35 AYYYYY It’s The One Where Their Theme Song Turns 30!!!!!🤩🤩🙌🏻
And i would love much more if you made 2 more video series: the First one covering Japanese Pop music hits and Anime soundtracks from 1980 to 2010; and the second one covering music genres and hit songs from my home country Brazil, from at least 1960 to 2000.
Sorry but I'm not at all familiar with neither Japanese pop music nor music from Brazil.
so much variety.so much meaning n emotion in music.miss them days
You forgot to add You’ve Got A Friend In Me in Toy Story which is also turning 30 this year
You left off two important songs from 1995: Free As A Bird & Real Love by The Beatles.
True, but they feel a bit out of place, given they were recorded much earlier.
@ but the year 1995 is a big year for Beatles fans because of those two new songs and the Anthology.
The Good: I remember loving most of these songs! 🎧🎶
The Bad: Man I'm old & the Dolphins still make me cry! 🐬🏈 😭😂
Hope you had a great Day. 💕
Love your Videos. ❣️
Greetings from Germany. 💞

I would sell my soul to go back to the 90s... Best Times of my life....
Hiya , definatly alittle trip down memory lane , i was 16 & couldnt wait to leave secondary school that year lol ❤❤❤

Your videos are the best!!!! Pure nostalgia
1995 is almost definitely one of my favorite 90s years for music. Only reason it’s not at the top is because 1991 was when Nevermind and L’autre dropped and 1990 was a weird transitional year that still produced some greats. My top five favorite songs of this year:
1: Wake Up Boo! (The Boo Radleys)
2: XXL (Mylene Farmer)
3: Extres (EX-3)
4: Common People (Pulp)
5: Da Funk (Daft Punk)
And its thursday in my country..and i wait for thursdays for this😊👍
5:44 ... my parents hated us blasting this song. Such a good year, so much good variety!
Songs just hit differently back then.
I just love these trips down memory lane.. My body, slowly moving and getting into the rhythm. 1995 i was 13 years old
Same
I remember my art teacher in high school told me about Blessed Union Of Souls "I Believe." I love how amazing the song is
Can you make one for songs that turning 20 years in 2025
Yes, I will upload it in a few days.
The mid 90s were a great time! Not just in music but sports and so many other things
Garbage is one of my absolute favorite bands. Joydrop was introduced to me in college. Same for Snake River Conspiracy.
There's a huge omission here. No Doubt released their massive bestseller Tragic Kingdom in 1995, and it contained five big hit singles. Any one of those was better than almost any song in this video.
So many bangers
1995 was 7th and 8th grade for me. Time flies 🤯
1995 was the year I saw Elton John in concert. Made In England Tour.

1995 was a good year of music.
Quasi Tutti cantanti dimenticati ! Nessuno ha resistito al tempo !
Suggest for your videos, to normalize volmen levels. There's some big differences in between songs from one to the next..
In 1995 we had Viva, but no MTV, so I would record videos and I remember like it was yesterday One sweet day was on and finally I caught it on tape, but the tape ended before the music video ended 😢 if only I knew back then that TH-cam would be invented 😂❤
Unless I missed it... Just a Girl by No Doubt (Tragic Kingdom).
Somehow I missed that one.
Was that 1995? It didn't do anything much in the UK until 1997, after "Don't Speak" was #1
While the local music scene in Serbia was mostly about who was the king of cocaine and who stole which girl's fur coat, there was also talk about who went far away when they were young.
I was 7 in '95. God, Im old

They are useful to have.
