Mate wouldn’t hurt to put a few good spills of oil on the journals as there dry and when ya start for first time ya know the cams have oil on them so it doesn’t starve until the oil gets up there mate good job well done mate another string to the bow top man
Hi Keith for god sake buy one of those cheap pen magnets or you will damage those buckets also great for getting those shims out. Thanks for keeping me on track in these shit times lol

Your a brave man dude don't know what your at if im honest, but tolerance i find interesting, seems very precise work , i have 5 hammers 😅😅😅 love watching your vids ,
Like your uploads. Do you know where I can buy valves and seats for a 1978 Z650 B2, or a U.K. company that can overhaul my head. My valves are really bad through standing for many years.
You could try Z-Power, they have a lot of parts, for mine they were the ones that had been it the bike for years, just cleaned up, re-lapped and were fine, took a long time to clean though
I have a 82 kz 650 csr. Just got it rebuilt the carbs bc it wouldn't idle. Now it will idle great but want take throttle have to ease into it an want go pass 4k rpm. I fixed all the vacuum leaks. Could it be the valves need adjusted. I gapped the spark plugs an ran it. Took them out an they were smashed down almost closed. What do u think it may be. An the plugs were covered in gas an oil. It was back firing before
if you are on the old points version recheck the gaps, rechecking the valve gaps wouldn't hurt just for piece of mind, the carbs are hard to set as i am finding with mine, are you using standard size jets ? is it airbox or pods ?
@@TheAmateurBikeBuilder I got it fixed. It was the mechanical spring timing piece heind the points. Mine has the dynatek ds2 igntions an coils now. I done away with all the points
Hi Keith, I am someone who admires your dedication to the kz650 motorcycle. I have one, kz650C3 mod 1979. And it is impossible for me to get the motorcycle repair manual. Maybe you can help me. I would appreciate. I almost forgot, I am from Argentina. Regards!
