After 10 years, this wiz guitar kid is now a fine young man with great continuously improving guitar skills.
I know! Right? It's so cool to hear him play this song about the longing for unrealized success. Now he's touring the world!
First I was listening to Gabriella Quevenda playing Hotel California. Impressed. Then saw at the side bar a young kid named "Sungha Jung" with the same song, and wondering if he would be just a beginner trying hard. Clicked on it and...I was shocked with wide opening eyes at his guitar prodigy. Then spent a good next hour watching him play...And I ordered all his CDs from Amazon while listening to him!!! What a great personal discovery of this gifted boy! I'm just an average classical guitar player.
+1234Tubie gabriella was actually inspired to play guitar because of sungha haha. there were many instances in which she referred to sungha as her idol. and if you're impressed by gabriella and sungha, you should also check out the candyrat artists like calum graham and ewan dobson. luca stricagnoli is currently my personal favorite ^^
I feel the same way. This guitarist is going to be big time. He has such a good feel for so many songs that are so much older than him. I love him.
Unfortunately it looks like the original Hotel California videos from both are gone (although some other people have reposted them). I think there must have been some sort of copyright dispute?

my gosh.. I saw this for the first time on my cousin's cell phone. and I was SoOoO AMAZED! He's such a prodigy, a virtuoso! How I wish I could play like him! Sigh. His music is so great. Exceptional!

It`s strange, i was listening to him play for a while then suddenly i was crying, i`ve always wanted to be able to do that to people when i sing. But i guess it`s a rare gift.

I'm not surprised that there is someone so young playing with such fluid technique. But my head is on the verge of exploding trying to figure out how somehow so young can convey so much emotion through their instrument. This is really amazing.
This is one of the reasons I love Sungha's playing. Too many times I have seen other kids- technically talented, sure- butcher this song because they lack the maturity and the musicality that makes his performance exceptional. The people who say Sungha lacks emotion and passion in his playing NEED to watch this video.
