I'm really looking forward to piracy missions and being able to make weapons like "From the depths" where you can create custom missiles and guns

@@Elinzar idk if you played it in the early days but this is a far sight better than when it first came out, thats for sure. I really like the way its turned out now and the community is producing some amazing designs

Real SAM systems are actually made of 2 radars. That big dish we usually see - it's detection radar. There is smaller one, tracking radar. Once detection radar spotted an enemy, it sends info to tracking radar. Then this smaller radar locks onto it's target and follows it. And then tracking radar sends info to rocket, guiding it all the way to the enemy. That allows detection radar continue it's watch, while other systems are busy with the target.
Some SAM systems just use detection radars, then put the tracking radars into the missiles.
If you had sensors on the missile itself to account for the target being inside of range, you could have airburst missiles that explode off the target but close enough for the payload to be effective

Honestly I was against weapons in Stormworks but wouln't it be fitting if along side search & rescue was Costal guard? It wouln't break the games basics as in you would still do search and rescue but costal guard could be a nice addition, lets say missions where pirates are boarding a cargo ship. Even the name of the game wouln't be an issue since its "Build and Rescue" could be fitting to coastal guard rescuing a boarded ship. Its a wild though but i feel such a mechanic could work and it wouln't break the immersion. Playing alongside a larger group it would be actualy quite fun to see people group up between coast guard and S&R, Giving co-ords of pirates via in-game radio and working side by side.

I don't even need a weapon DLC. I have a ship that fires missiles that actually can and do sink ships. I can fire 12 laser guided weapons and fire them on any part of the ship I want, including the bridge where I can cripple the helm
But wouldn't you want like a 30mm autocannon to just spray your enemies?

Only if it didnt get glitched with the new transmission errors.... you could have a semi active radar sam site, that you could have spread the sam launchers like 1 mile each (left to right) and you would take the radar a little back, it would be SICCKKK!!!!

why does mj's outro music sound like sim city 4?
The plane was moving too fast for the bluefin missile to lock on to so by it doing that the missile went into dummy search mode
The aircraft was slower then lvl 1 lol and the missile could hit lvl 3 lol. its just range
Can't you add lua scripts or whatnot to make explosions, or is that just in experimental mode atm
