The beauty of the interior soul fixed on Jesus

In this meditation from Volume 5 of the Book of Heaven, Our Lady tells us the power and beauty of the ‘interior soul’ or 'interior gaze'.
What is this ‘interior gaze’?
According to the Catechism of the Catholic Church 2715, it is a type of contemplation. Contemplation is a gaze of faith, fixed on Jesus. It also says that it is a renunciation of self. It turns our gaze on Jesus to love Him and follow Him in everything.

St Thomas Aquinas says that contemplation, this interior gaze, involves the intellect’s focus on divine truth. Therefore, as we’ve learned from the Book of Heaven, we are using the power of the soul called intellect.
Our Lady was teaching Luisa how to use her interior gaze when she was feeling deprived of Jesus and Mama Mary wanted to tell her how she, and we, can always have Jesus with us and no one can take Him away from us. At first the Virgin Mary gives Jesus to Luisa as a little baby, but then at the end He is Crucified, presumably fully grown.
Why does the Blessed Virgin end Her teaching with the soul crucified with Jesus on Calvary? One way to interpret this is that this is the path of the spiritual life. We too will mature spiritually, first as little babies, and then as we grow in the Divine Will, we will enter more and more into Jesus Humanity and become fully mature in love for Him to the point of dying completely of self in the Divine Will!
Finally, our Lady tells Luisa in the full excerpt, “…Do not fear, your care must be in keeping your interior gaze fixed on Him. This has so much power, that all other powers, human and diabolical, remain debilitated and defeated.”
Therefore, with our interior soul and gaze on Jesus, we are protected from all evils, human and diabolical. Let’s do what Our Lady says and always have our interior gaze fixed on Our Lord Jesus!
