I am incredibly saddened. After discovering this band, and listening to them all morning, and sharing them with my friends because I'm so blown away.. to finding out shes passed years ago. It truly has broken my heart this morning. I thank her for sharing her voice with the world. I'm sure it will live on in millions of us forever. LONG LIVE ALEAH!

Probably one of the most beautiful, angelic melodic songs I have ever heard in my entire life. Just to find out that the one who sang this passed away 4 years ago. I grieve for her loss! The melodic sorrow of HIM, the deep and unique style of Katatonia, and the angelic voice that makes me think of Lacuna Coil... no, this is even better than that. Her music lives on forever. I would have loved to have seen more music. But I’ll cherish this instead.

When I listened to her voice, I loved. I was waiting for the album for some years. Then I find this video and think that the band is still going on, so good. Then... Really, it hurts because she was a great singer, her style whispering singing gives me shivers. And I thought about her husband, producing her songs, listening to her voice.... I don't know how he got this, must be terrible to lose her so soon, caused by that vile disease. Now for me this is the most doom metal of all doom metal bands. The weight of loss is the core of the production, and her husband, like a romantic poet, filling all the songs with his true suffering for a great cause, keep the voice and the memory of his loved one alive forever.

I ve been a metal head since my early teens...I always felt sad to the death of a favourite artist....Cliff buton,Randy Roads,R J Dio,Lemmy and others....but when I first heard about Aleah s death it really took me a while to let it sink in....I was so eager to hearing more of her work in the future....Guess GOD needed her beautifull voice in Heaven....I really dont believe there can be another explanation for her untimely death...RIP Angel.....

Aleah's new to me...when I listened to her, it was life-changing, I woke up this morning hearing her voice, and I put my headphones on, and I cried knowing she died, she is an Angel now,,,, heaven has their angel back, I never knew her....., but I miss her like a friend that went away...I'm sending her music to everyone I possibly can.....
Damn, I had no idea this vocalist died before this album was even released. I was just searching online to see if they had anything new in the works. This is one of the better discoveries that Spotify has brought to my attention. I've been listening to this album daily for months. That news is a real bummer.

She's wearing the same necklace Aleah wore on the Sinking Ships video T__T . This is a really beautiful tribute, I don't know how Juha manages through the pain to share this art with us all. It became even more personal and I'm very grateful he's sharing it with us. All my respect, Sir.
I suspect that by sharing with all of us, this is one of the tools he uses to help him cope with the pain. Throughout history, the greatest art forms have been given to us by those artists who suffered the worst. I beleive that creating is the gift they are given to help them work through the grief.
There is something about a lovely, soft woman's voice with this sort of music brings in a most beautiful darkness. It is music for a funeral-wedding .... a marriage of the dead ... a marriage that brings life ... (for is it not the dancing of the molecules of the dead that feeds into the continuance of life?)
I lost my father to cancet this year as well, so I feel for her family and loved ones since I know how traumatizing it is when this horrible disease rips away someone you love so dearly. Her voice has been immortalized, and within such a masterful work of art nonetheless. She will live forever because of this. Thank you for sharing your beautiful music with us.
I also lost my mum to cancer the same year so the memories and tears always comes back when I listen to Trees of eternity. Love the album but can't listen as often as I like. ❤️
I've lost my mother due cancer. Aleah would live forever, she's being immortal through her ghostly voice & vocals, and as long as people are listening to these Songs. Love her voice, since i've heard "Lights on the Lake: Horror Part III" with her backing vocals into 2009, that was on the New Moon Album from Swallow The Sun. She is being now at a better place...freed from all kinds of human pain, and her star will shine on...forever, eternal.

It's been four months and I hear about her death just now along with the album update. Now I'm terrified. I haven't listened to Trees of Eternity's songs much yet but I've always loved Aleah's vocals in Swallow the Sun's songs. Hauntingly beautiful just like in this song too. I can only imagine the pain of her loved ones as I'm grieve-stricken too even though I didn't even personally know her. This song was very beautiful, I gotta listen to more of this band... Rest in peace, sweet Aleah!
Awesome use of the whisper tracks - the intimacy of the breathing in between the words is stunning. I love how she accents the word "torn". The chorus remind me a bit of Katatonia. Very high class music. The older I get, the more I come to the conclusion it's true what they say - the good die young. Rest in peace, unknown lady with a charismatic voice.

I ve been a metal head since my early teens...I always felt sad to the death of a favourite artist....Cliff buton,Randy Roads,R J Dio,Lemmy and others....but when I first heard about Aleah s death it really took me a while to let it sink in....I was so eager to hearing more of her work in the future....Guess GOD needed her beautifull voice in Heaven....I really dont believe there can be another explanation for her untimely death...RIP Angel.....
She had the most beautiful, touching and heartwarming voice I've ever listened to in my entire life..

@@sidewinder5337 ага, знаю. Это был мой первый опыт. Позже я заново ещё раз перевёл. Вроде точнее получилось (упор сделан стихотворную технику, поэтому не без искажений).

Aleah's new to me...when I listened to her, it was life-changing, I woke up this morning hearing her voice, and I put my headphones on, and I cried knowing she died, she is an Angel now,,,, heaven has their angel back, I never knew her....., but I miss her like a friend that went away...I'm sending her music to everyone I possibly can.....

I suspect that by sharing with all of us, this is one of the tools he uses to help him cope with the pain. Throughout history, the greatest art forms have been given to us by those artists who suffered the worst. I beleive that creating is the gift they are given to help them work through the grief.

I lost my father to cancet this year as well, so I feel for her family and loved ones since I know how traumatizing it is when this horrible disease rips away someone you love so dearly. Her voice has been immortalized, and within such a masterful work of art nonetheless. She will live forever because of this. Thank you for sharing your beautiful music with us.
I also lost my mum to cancer the same year so the memories and tears always comes back when I listen to Trees of eternity. Love the album but can't listen as often as I like. ❤️
Cancer sucks! I had cancer when i was 20 years old and it almost beat me. Luckily it didnt and im still here. So sorry for your loss darlin.
I've lost my mother due cancer. Aleah would live forever, she's being immortal through her ghostly voice & vocals, and as long as people are listening to these Songs. Love her voice, since i've heard "Lights on the Lake: Horror Part III" with her backing vocals into 2009, that was on the New Moon Album from Swallow The Sun. She is being now at a better place...freed from all kinds of human pain, and her star will shine on...forever, eternal.

I've loved this for about a decade now. It's still one of the most moving, evocative, powerful songs or music videos I've discovered.
It's been four months and I hear about her death just now along with the album update. Now I'm terrified. I haven't listened to Trees of Eternity's songs much yet but I've always loved Aleah's vocals in Swallow the Sun's songs. Hauntingly beautiful just like in this song too. I can only imagine the pain of her loved ones as I'm grieve-stricken too even though I didn't even personally know her.

Awesome use of the whisper tracks - the intimacy of the breathing in between the words is stunning. I love how she accents the word "torn". The chorus remind me a bit of Katatonia. Very high class music. The older I get, the more I come to the conclusion it's true what they say - the good die young. Rest in peace, unknown lady with a charismatic voice.
I came to find out that former members of Katatonia were involved in making her music. The similarities are uncanny.
