Hey Joel! Just a small tip that you may or may not already know - when cutting a lot of material at the same length, you can pile as many as your saw can cut. Then use clamps to keep them flush and together. On your next batch, keep one cut board on top as a guide and you won't have to measure or mark anything 👍
I've been watching since the first episode and am impressed at how much and how well you have stepped up on these building projects, especially this one. I hope there will be a barn-raising party at some point. Everyone deserves a celebration!
Making Great Progress. Viewers need to keep in mind that you’re Not Carpenters and this Job is being Completed along with ALL of your Other Responsibilities. 👍🙏
! happy for y'all! My 83 YO mom and I never miss a video, and we know how much you guys have wanted and NEEDED this and its coming along nicely. Great job, guys
You are making amazing progress and it was awesome to see Gavin and your Mom. Can you please add entries to your Amazon wish list? Thanks and greetings from Michigan!
Lens really helped to put the size of the barn in prospective IT'S HUGE 👏 Hi Mom Gavin 👋👋 QUESTION does your Dad still do the whip dancing and any chance he will do another demonstration? Great video 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 Love from the UK x
To Joel and the stable life I'm enjoying the barn builds so far and Joel here is a nifty idea for you the cutoff bits from the barn you can make your mum a wooden basket 🧺 for plants. From Perth Australia 🐨🇭🇲.
Joel you should reconsider not putting a loft above the horses feed area. Just like the veggie boys have one above the cows in the cow barn, its so much extra storage that you could use for anything beyond just hay.
In the earlier videos, some of the posts looked very warped, now they look fine. Did you need to straighten then using the tractor, as you were putting up 2x4's? Or did they just look warped?
Joel, your interactions with your wife seem distant and unsustainable… arranged and forced. Do you ever get alone time with her or is there someone always around? Are you even sleeping in the same room? How come no home pics/vids like Andy does? Happy house over there at the veggie boys… Not so sure at your horse hut.
I really miss the man's smile. Gavin just has the personality of a good brother. Peace to this man always.

Joel I am so excited for you all. Your excitement is contagious. The hay barn is going to be a Hugh blessing for the farm

God bless your heart for being so hard working. Hi Gavin, mom & dad!❤❤❤
With the linear lens, it really does look bigger!!!
Love the time lapse. I pray you won't have to work up high in ice and snow!
The new barn is taking shape! Nice work Joel & Gavin!! And Mom & Dad.

Great job editing the nailing of boards. I am Impressed. This from a professional video editor!
We hope you get it done before the snow gets you.
Good day to all.

Hey Joel I'm sorry I missed some of your videos. I had to get a new phone and I'm trying to get used to it.

How about some drone footage of the barn.

Good work. Looks like Gavin did not feel like making us laugh today. That is OK, we all have those days. Still got a lot of work done. Peace.
Will you lay a cement floor throughout or what are your plans. It’s looking so good, well done all of you, great work.
Great job so far. I would feel so much better if the trusses were up. Snow is coming and the weather is going to get colder.
Will you be running electricity? If so, underground or overhead?
In the earlier videos, some of the posts looked very warped, now they look fine. Did you need to straighten then using the tractor, as you were putting up 2x4's? Or did they just look warped?
I like the way you speed the video up. Too many TH-cam-ers show way too much and way too long. boring footage.
You're missing the banana for scale! Seriously though, you guys are rocking it, you'll soon be done!
Why don't you fill in the big mud puddle in the middle of the barn?
why arent the boards 16ft, from the manufacture
Pressure treated lumber is always a little longer. Spruce 2×4 are cut to correct lengths for eight foot Walls.
I still understand why you made it so narrow? Wouldn't it be better to be squarer??
Hay barns need to be narrow. Never saw one, built as a hay barn, that was wide. Easier to get the hay without a cave in would guess.
According to the weather forecast, you will be buried under "feet" of snow in a few days.
Joel, your interactions with your wife seem distant and unsustainable… arranged and forced.

Not so sure at your horse hut.
