- What if Diamonds Are Forever was made as a sequel to On Her Majesty's Secret Service?
This is the full edited version of the title sequence for my half fan-edit and half animation Diamonds Reimagined project, which is currently in production.
The titles were created from the textless version of Diamonds Are Forever's title sequence. They show the names of the cast & crew of the original film but with a few changes and additions to reflect how this is meant to be sequel.
Main things to note:
1. Guy Hamilton is still credited as the director, but there is an additional second unit director credited called David Bracknell (who in real life had worked with Guy Hamilton on two of his films; Funeral in Berlin & The Battle of Britain). He is my imagined second unit director for extra location sequences set in Cairo for the Pre-Credits Sequence..
2. Sean Connery is still credited as the lead, since this project is partly a fan-edit and therefore can't feature George Lazenby as Bond.
3. New cast members credited include Telly Savalas (who replaces Charles Gray as Blofeld), Ursula Noack (a different German actress to replace Ilse Steppat in the role of Irma Bunt as the latter passed away after OHMSS came out), Virgina North (Draco's mistress Olympe from OHMSS) and of course Gabrielle Ferzetti (reprising his role as Marc Ange Draco from OHMSS).
