My granddaughter, who just turned 4, loves watching your videos. She has a bouncy horse, she found some plastic tent stakes and was cleaning her horses feet because she watched you and Gavin do it. She also said she was cleaning up horse poop like Joel.
Dude, everyone knows that any cold a man has, no matter how minor, automatically qualifies as the bubonic plague and we deserve a medal for surviving it with all our our manly fortitude.
Your fixing everything that breaks yourself, working with what you can afford and making jobs work with what you have reminds me so much of my dad. We were not wealthy at all, and, as a kid trying to help, I thought he was a one-man miracle worker with all things mechanical and farming in general. I am very glad you share all this with your viewers.
Joel, I just got over 6 that started as a sore throat. The symptoms started a solid two months before I started feeling better, went to urgent care, and that's where I was prescribed Amoxycilinand one other script, I don't remember the name, though. Definitely take care of yourself and keep drinking fluids, I you like licorice, and licorice tea is awesome for soothing a sore throat. I hope you start to feel better. You need your energy for not only your stable chores but also building that barn, too. Yes, I know I'm late posting, but I've been away from home for 4 and a half months taking care of family stuff, finally able to get caught up on all of posts I missed from all of my regular vlogsters!! Take care Joel!! ☕️
Mom's are awesome!!! Your Dad is really good with the camera and explaining things .Mom and Dad are a well oiled working team ⭐ Glad you are on the mend ❤ Gavin 😁😁😁 bloopers are hilarious 😂😂😂😂 Love from the UK x
Great video Joel feel bettersoon loved seeing Gavin he does a great job with editing. You so are so enjoyable to watch.Your Dad is realy good at explaining. Loved seeing them both. Take care
It's definitely the hoarder in me but i'd hold on to that old wheel bearing assembly, cut off or tap the bolts through and see if you can keep it as a spare in case that happens again.
We call drainage pipes with holes in French Drains. Your skills as a mechanic are impressive. Nice to have two cousins to pass on their knowledge. I am glad you recovered from your cold. Do you have any of the nasal sprays that shorted the length of colds. I am lucky I haven't had a cold since the November before the Covid came in. So getting towards 5 years.
Glad you are feeling better. Joel please think about using a piece of rental equipment for the grading. Dirt work is really hard on farm equipment. May not see it now but you will during the life of the equipment.
Step 🚶♂️ back and look into a covering your riding arena then store your horse hay/feed . Flat ground. Close to the horse stalls for easy winter feeding . Customers having a covered arena would be huge plus for your customers. Just a thought.
I agree but I understand the huge costs that may be involved. I would at least get a professional grader to come and see if they would look at the project and get their advice on grading, drainage and just an overall opinion. This is too big of a project and once it’s done it’s important to minimize problems.
With the amount of dirt you have to move, would a skid steer be better? If you can’t borrow the Veggie Boys skid steer, maybe you could rent one. A tracked version would work ever better.
Having a hay barn sounds good in theory but hay in barns likes to burn. You're better off having a fenced in hay area outside and use the barn for equipment and maybe future stalls for more horses.
Looking good. For control while working on footprint of barn and cuts and fill areas. You may want to pull a measuring tape 5 feet behind the corner stakes and the other perimeter stakes and put the stakes there. So, you can work in the footprint. You could paint broken lines on ground for actual footprint for control of perimeter. Also, you could paint on inside of cut verticals how much deeper to go ( -1' -.6") or paint on ground inside footprint cuts. You could also paint on the ground 5' off footprint of the barn in several locations how much fill is needed also in the footprint (+ 1'.6", +.5")
Rent an excavator or hire someone to do the excavation in the long run it will be cheaper and set you up for a positive result tractors are great for pulling but an excavator is designed for digging right tool for the job
You have every right to complain because parts are ridiculous expensive. Yesterday they had to put in a new particulate filter in my car... 1.620 dollar!
That's a good "Well, alright."😊

Great stuff Joel😊. Feel better soon

😂
It’s funny, if I didn’t know it was Joel’s dad I would have 100% believed it was still Joel talking

Oh remap. Oh well.

You are much busier on the stable this year. Do you miss picking with the vegi boys?
Take care of yourself
Hope your feeling better Joel.
You guys (everyone at SKS) are just awesome!
Great video 👍👍
Please take care of your self- love the videos- really enjoy your parents 💚🌿🫏
Look up batter board construction and it will help with you string lines. Trust us, it will help you out in the long run.
Have you thought about using a grade stick along with the transit? Then you could get each corner to the exact same depth.
Let Pete sell firwoid bundles at the store and share the profit in extra labor hours during peak season harvests.
Take care of yourself, things are really going well so far for the hay barn. You need to let Gavin do the videos for a bit. So you can rest up. 😊

It hurt to watch with that new tractor😢

Speaking from experience…that’s a six figure project.
Probably need a professional grader. With the right equipment. Good video. Thanks for sharing 👍✌️

hi gavin
You should get somebody that knows what they are doing with that fancy transit.
It’s actually known as a “Level” a “Transit” also measures the vertical angle as well as the horizontal angle.
@@richardkorgan2949 I know what it is and how to use it. I worked commercial construction for years.
Plus everything ids made cheap so it has to be replaced more often.

Is there a plan to upgrade the building for the stables?
You sound like your dad and look like your mom
Tell your parents the same.
😊
You are more emotionally healthy than your family who thinks you should say ‘thank you’ when you get ripped off.
Waving a hand from Texas
Here too north texas

Borrow Vege-boy’s dump truck! It’s gonna take you forever to haul dirt with that little wagon

Is the new storage barn the size of the small roped off area? Why does it look so small?
If the ditch is for drainage pipe, how deep is your frost line so tour pipe won't freeze and crack?
Did your dad ever find his phone?
Joel, I hope you don't get that dipping habit. Stay healthy
Could you use a small food processor to grind pills for horses? May make job faster for you. Just a thought.
If you all came down with something and you, mom, dad became sick does any of the veggie boy know how to take care of horses
What is potato rock?
It is the rocks that were pulled out of the potato fields of the Veggie Boys
You stole the horse's pasture. How does this affect them?
Yu never use old grease
Yes Joel you do sound a little hoarse, just Sayin.
Joel everything now is over priced. China makes it for $1 and we sell it for 150% more.
Joel dosent name the horses anymore.
Isn’t that sad
Yes he does
You have every right to complain because parts are ridiculous expensive. Yesterday they had to put in a new particulate filter in my car... 1.620 dollar!
Covid
Get your shots
It wasn't Covid- it was a cold and a reaction to flu & covid shots that week.
Just the beginning of several more problems you'll be having with that wagon. NOT heavy duty enough for what you're doing with it 😢
Are you an only child?
