Hehe, the tip was absolutely refusing to be tinned. Anyway, I was blessed with this soldering station and was able to get some work done by filing the tips (after I had ruined them). I was able to solder with a filed tip for at least 30 minutes. 1. File/grind/sand tip to expose what looks like a copper core. 2. Attach tip. 3. Wrap tip in solder. 4. Turn on soldering station at 300 °C. 5. Very gently tap shaft of iron on something to shake off excess solder.
Apparently the tips have M4 threads, so you can search for M4 threaded tips. I've also seen suggested that you could buy some copper wire (I I assume 4mm in diameter) and an M4 die and then make your own tips.
It would have been better if the soldering tip was prepared before use, would have been best if it was pretinned at the factory. A untinned soldering iron tip will quickly burn to the point of being unusable.
First time out the on/off rocker switch packed in. Told by Lidl to contact Parkside in Germany. Emailed them three times but they don't reply. Absolutely crap customer service.
diy tips are probably not any worse than the originals, they oxidise like crazy and barely hold onto solder. The inability to get good quality tips makes this kind of a piece of junk.
i have jusg taken my 4th 1 bk i am gutted i really liked them i say them its shockkng in it thank god i keep recepts and scan on my phone its handy that phoen scan thing anyhow ye crazy theg work for about 3 to 4 times and then u switch it on 4th 5th 6th 7th time and it just goes buzzz and thats it just stops working i bought my friend 1 and his is going brilliant but hese only used it twice so ive had 2 buy the charge up 1 its sleek as hell like buf u cant use it while its charging what good is that come on i just want somet simple and u cant change the temp on this 1 and it has a livht on it i font want a f......kkng lite so ye se how this one goes
For anyone wondering what that doorknob wrote, here's ChatGPT's take on that: I've just taken my fourth one back. I'm disappointed because I really liked them. I find it shocking that they only work about 3 to 4 times, and then when you switch it on the 4th, 5th, 6th, or 7th time, it just goes buzz and stops working. I keep receipts and scan them on my phone, which is handy. The phone scan thing is useful. It's crazy because it works well for my friend who has only used it twice. I had to buy the charge-up one, which looks sleek but you can't use it while it's charging - what good is that? I just want something simple, and you can't change the temperature on this one, plus it has a light on it, which I don't want. We'll see how this one goes.

Heat the work (joint) first, THEN apply the solder! The sponge was designed to be wet with water and will expend to fit the cup.

Where can I get the drills. I lost mine
As I know they don't sell them in LIDL so you can try to find in other shops that fits.

I cant find replacement tips for the iron ;(
I found something on Ebay, but this is big problem.
buy copper stiff wire 6AWG or rod (⌀4mm) and make them
@@Krzysztof_S yea but it will corrode when heated

The tip seems untinable!
Do not. I repeat do not use the solder supplied with these lidl soldering irons. They have little or no flux.
Thanks for information.
Plus they are lead free and flux needs to be used. The tips will need to be tinned using flux and then solder.
Yo do not get it it’s BS it’s heating element is non replaceable nor repairable
Das schlimmste lötstation was es gibt.

what is your diagnose?
It's a piece of crap
Not really. The solder has no flux core and flux needs to be used. Plus, he didnt tin the tip.
