They weren't supposed to. This entire movie was supposed to be about the Toros. The Clovers were imnever intended to be the stars of the film but they unexpectedly were. They showed the movie to a focus group and the focus group liked the Clovers and wanted to see more of them. But that was impossible because the movie was already done. There was no time to go back and shoot the additional scenes. The most they could do were to include some Clovers scenes in the trailer. That's why the Clovers had scenes in the movie trailer that weren't in the actual movie.

I love how the clovers were symbol of class and dignity and not allowing the Toros to get any kind of credit for their ability to get themselves to the Nationals no matter how so-called kind-hearted it might have been on their behalf to try to give them moneyafter discovering that they cheated and lied to get them trophies they got! 0 I'm glad Gabriel Union stood up and let them know that we could get it on our own and we don't need you or your charity and handle them with such dignity and class!
